The past week was especially rocky, lot of difficult emotions coming up to the surface.

January has been tough overall.

Yesterday took the entire day off to give myself time to heal.

No computer/internet, eating less though eating well. Feeling better, grounded.

**This past week had a few ups and downs...The week started off alright, until a few days in, My son had some issues with his Dog the previous week before... A dog he had for the past few years. And he had to make a heart-wrenching choice to put him to sleep. It was a pretty sad start to the week due to this. He was such a sweet and gentle dog, and we are just trying to get back on track and begin to heal from it all. frown

**Despite everything, and trying to be there for my son, I managed to stay on track with everything else, such as eating and exercising. I've gotten almost Twice the amount of planned steps in each day. I Only taught "One" Zumba class this week. And managed to do "Home" Workouts the remainder of the week.... I also managed to take some spare time and Obtain TWO more Zumba licenses which are "Online". One to teach ZUMBA-Gold "Toning". And another to teach ZUMBA "Plate". Plate is a license that allows us to help "Coach" others in nutrition! At this point I have now obtained All of the Zumba license formats. (Except Zumbini: that works with Babies/Toddlers & families). ..... And sleep?...Eh~ Still working on that one. indecision

**Today is my Husbands Birthday! So...we will be celebrating that today.~ Which means we will be eating whereever he chooses. So, I will do my best to continue my goals of staying on track with eating. I intend to get up and get in a home workout since theres no POUND class today. And will pre-plan the rest of my meals. Including where we go. I have already started looking at the menu ahead of time.

**I HOPE EVERYONE ELSE'S WEEKEND HAS GONE WELL~ yes

Hugs about the doggy family member's passing. Plus you are aching for your son too. Double hug.

Good thoughts for the celebration day with husband. Men do seem to be able to eat a whole heck of a lot more than us without adverse affects - at least as quickly as we feel and receive them. cheeky It's just one day though. Hopefully you can get celebration meal done and over a few hours before you retire for the night so that your body can truly rest.

Blessings.

HOW has everyone been doing and feeling over this past week?

Last week was extremely exhausting and busy because we've started working on the experimentation of our research paper to gather results and data to finish it. Though teachers didn't attend most of our classes because they're also busy with some other school work and whatnot hehehe

This is the last check-in for the month of January, How do you feel this past month has gone for you?

OMG, I didn't realize we're already on the last check-in! Time goes by in just a blink, wow! I think it passed by so fast that I wasn't aware that the I've gone through the first month of 2018 lol

What do you feel you accomplished in January?

Being able to be emotionally stable even though it can be hard to be consistent at some point! c:

What would you like to continue working on as we move into a New month?

I'll focus more on self care ways and techniques! c: Managing my time and the tasks I've here in the community as well!

What have been your highlights of the past week?

It was my mom's birthday yesterday so we went out for a dinner in a eat-all-you-can buffet restaurant! Yay!

What things would YOU like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from YOU!! smiley

"self care is not a reward for being responsible or for working hard. you don't 'deserve' or 'not deserve' to be nice to yourself. you are an alive person and rather than thinking of self care as incentives or bonuses you can get by adhering to and succeeding at abled standards (at a detriment to your health), you can think of it as:
making deposits of self esteem by caring for yourself and allowing yourself nice things and feelings.

you don't have to deplete yourself to EMPTY before filling yourself back up again. you can do nice things for yourself before you hit the bottom." —elvendork

@Erato

Hey Erato!...

So nice to see you! What an awesome check-in! You sound like you are really "refreshed and recharged"!... Self care seems to always look great on you! lol...

Self care is so important... and I know this is something BIG for you to practice for yourself... And yes we should. This shouldn't be an incentive , but rather something that we should be doing for ourselves all the time, any chance that we get. Its so important to our Over-all wellbeing (physically , mentally and emotionally)!....

I also think its great that Your accomplishment for January was Being able to be emotionally stable even though it can be hard to be consistent at some point.... That is really important.

Its also great that you got spend time with your mom and go out for her birthday and celebrate! Celebrations are always something fun to look forward to.... We are infact celebrating my husbands birthday "Today"!... So YAYY for Birthdays!! lol.......Glad that you enjoyed yourself.

Thank so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing.. Keep up the great work!

Seeing this post makes me feel like ugh, already?

Didn't really get much done this week at all. Regular workout happened at least. No rowing at home. My husband is reducing calories a bit which may lead to me doing so too - although not in a purposeful way like him. If he's not having a big snack I'm less likely to be eating one. Sometimes out of sheer laziness too!

@AffyAvo

Sorry to hear that you week didn't really go as you wanted it too.... But its good that you were able to get in a regular workout. So that is a nice bit of progress for you.

We can't always be perfect or stay on track....but even if you are only cutting back calories "because your husband happens to be doing the same", then that is still progress too! And better than not doing it at all or eating mindlessly.

I do hope that things start to look up for you and lead you into a better week ahead. Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing.

The month started out stressful and today is stressful (from the last few days dramas at work) but lots in the middle was wonderful. I've grown a lot this month because of the 7cups tool. The most important measurement for me is the "days consistent" and when I come on the first thing I look to do is complete something on my growth path and then provide encouragement for someone else and list something I'm thankful for. So net-sum is a gain.

I think my focus going into the new month has to be detaching from acting on my worries about other people's fearful energies. Trying to persuade others is a no-win situation for me. It doesn't get rid of the worry and only intensifies it. So, worry plan - detach and not act. Only send good thoughts and encourage everyone.

HOW has everyone been doing and feeling over this past week?

Despite it being quite a busy week, I did feel good for most of it. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I worked really hard so I was a bit worn out and drained by Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Thankfully on Friday I was able to stay at home and get some much needed rest smiley

This is the last check-in for the month of January, How do you feel this past month has gone for you?

Wow, how did that happen so fast? surprise This month has had its ups and downs as usual, but I think it is safe to say I am making some improvements, even if they are small. Even if I still have hard days, I think I'm learning to cope better. That makes me really happy

What do you feel you accomplished in January?

I started a reading program, began my second semester of college classes, and have been learning a lot about how to take care of myself better, and understand my emotions.

What would you like to continue working on as we move into a New month?

I want to start reaching out to people more. I know it might be hard, and I'm a little scared, but I want to try. It will probably take longer than just February, but I'm beginning to feel almost ready to share myself with others again.

Any highlights of the past week that you'd like to share?

My mom and I spent Thursday afternoon with a good family friend, and it was really what we all needed. We had a wonderful time and it was good to take a break and do something fun.

What things would YOU like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from YOU!! smiley

I hope everyone is doing well and has a great weekend heart If your week was tough, I hope next week is better!

I'm not looking forward to this week.

I have pelvis, back, and leg pain from my endometrisos but no medical . . . waiting on paperwork.

I am sad, but I can't cry. I'm emotionally stuck. I also have writer's block.

We have low food this week and I really need to get creative.

@Rebekahwriter13

Sorry to hear that you are having pain and having a bad week... and that you are low on food...

I hope that everything comes together for you and things start to look up for you. Have you tried looking into a "Food Pantry" or "Soup Kitchen" in your area? Perhaps they can help you with food if you are in need? Just a thought? I don't know if you have those in your area but perhaps taking a look on Google could help you to find out if they are in your area.

Thanks for taking the time to check in this week and let us know how you are doing. Good luck on everything.

This week was similar to last week. Not feeling awful, but not great. My shoulder is still flared up so I have not gotten to swim in several weeks. I feel like I did not accomplish much in January. I am usually back on track with my weight, diet, and exercise by now after indulging over the holidays. This year, I have not lost my holiday 5 pounds yet. I hope to get better back on track in February. I have to be able to exercise in order to do that, so I hope my body starts cooperating! Mentally, I am pretty good despite all that. My depression is still staying away, and this week I even slept well several nights in a row.

@SadMe70

Hey there Sad!...

Sorry to hear that you are still feeling like you are a little 'behind' at getting back on track since the holidays..... And I know that you feel that being able to exercise will help with all of that. And while yes, our bodies need that exercise, but simply doing your best to eat well, right and healthy will and can help your body in so many other ways. Including "repair" and helping you to possibly even be sleeping better!...

But I think its really awesome for you that your depression has not taken over in any of it, and that you are doing well as far as thats concerned. Thats really great for you! With your head in the right place, everything else will start to fall in line as well. Thank you so much for checking in this week. Its always great to see you and your check-ins. Take care and see you next week!
