****ANY AND ALL "NEWBIES" PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR WEEK WITH US!****
I'm gonna consider this past week a success, because I got things done, learned from them, and set myself up to succeed this week!
In April, I'd really like to get a job, but I don't know how likely it is that our lockdown will end on April 19th, like they say... So, my other goal is to do 7cups every day and start work on my portfolio!
My mental health has been kind of all over the place (I have some hormonal issues because of faulty ovaries!) but I'm finally clearheaded again, and it's so nice. I'm feeling hopeful and productive! I've been trying my darnedest to be as productive as possible, since in my regular day-to-day I always feel like I can't catch up on things I wanna do. I got books to read more than scroll, I've been making healthier choices (like doing yoga and journaling)... I'm really trying my best! OH, and I started a jarden (jar garden)!
Highlights: I had one super mega successful day where I accomplished everything I set out to do!
Struggles: Mental health!
@betterchoices
Hi Better. Productivity, clearheaded, hopeful, success. A good deal of positive words you share with us in your post. Surely there are struggles, but you are doing well and of course we all can find encouragement in your positive overall attitude. Have a great week.
@betterchoices
I'm happy to hear you are doing well! I absolutely love your idea of doing a jar garden, and I wish you the best of luck in finding a job! I believe in you <3
@StanDaMan78 Thank you so much <3

Q: How have things been going for you over the past week?
Overall, there have been more happy moments than rough ones. Being quarantined away from my boyfriend due to him being in a high risk category definitely isn't making the overall situation easier, but we are doing our best.
Q: What do you see or anticipate for yourself in this New Month ahead?!
In the month of April, I'm aiming to continue being consistent in my workouts, eat healthy, & fill my days with activities that bring me joy: watercolor, line drawing, playing the ukulele, listening to members on 7Cups, and continuing my apartment search for August.
Q: What has brought you some "peace" during this time?
During quarantine, I constantly remind myself of something my therapist once told me when I was going through a very rough patch. She said, "You can't wrap up your emotions in a pretty bow and ignore it. You need to let yourself feel those emotions, fully. Only then will you be able to get past them. Remember this: EVERY single moment is temporary and fleeting. Every moment, whether it's good or bad."
This quarantine is temporary. This shutdown is temporary. Me being away from my boyfriend due to health reasons is temporary. We will get through this. We will rise above and become stronger.
Q: What have been your "Highlight" over this past week?
My highlight this week was finally attending church. Even though, it was online through Youtube, the sermon was applicable to people of all faiths & walks in life. My favorite takeaway was this: "Fear Chasers know that the path to your greatest potential is often through your greatest fear."
Thank you for reading my check-in! I'm wishing you all a happy week!🤗
@thoughtfulSmiles74
Hi ToughtfulSmiles,
It's good that the balance for you has been positive. Not being able to stay close to the ones we love is complicated but this are the times we are living and you seem to be coping very well. You are very conscious that this all is temporary and before we know we all will be doing what we like, hug our family and friends, attending church or sports. Probably by then we also will have learnt to value better the things we took for granted.
@Traveller8
It's a pleasure to read your response. I think it's so important for us to constantly remind ourselves that this is a temporary situation!
I think there is a positive aspect in these current circumstances. Humans all over the world are experiencing the same circumstances. We aren't alone, we have each other. This will change humanity forever, in good ways. I hope we can all appreciate a hug, a handshake, simply being able to eat at a restuarant with a friend/family member and not take it for granted anymore.
I hope you and your loved ones are well❤️
hello everyone! i hope y'all are doing well and staying safe during the quarantine 😊
i have been doing fairly well, i have my good days and my bad days. today was really good i had my virtual therapy (due to the limitations of quarantine) which went really well and i learned a lot about myself and understanding my own morals. i've been keeping busy with art projects, exercise, video gaming, and facetiming friends! online classes are also going well. some days i lack motivation and tend to stay in bed which puts me in a sad mood but i am doing my best to avoid those situations. today i decluttered my clothes and i am donating a bags worth of clothes☺️
i wish you all health and happiness during this hard time, feel free to message me whenever if you need someone to talk to i'm always here😊💞
@Katee02
Hi Katee,
Good news that you've been able to go on with your therapy, there's no reason to stop if you can find ways to do it. Keeping busy is the key and from your words is clear that you are doing it very well. Thank you for sharing, and if you need a bit of motivation come here 'cause we'll keep on motivating each other.
@Traveller8
thank you so much! it means a lot ☺️
