**Well... this past week has gone pretty super...I managed to stay on track with everything this week, I actually accomplished "Finally" so many things I've been wanting to get done for Sooooo long, but hardly have the time to do!... Weather has been really decent and trying to get warmer by the day. I got to see my son a few times this week which is rare due to his work schedule. So yeah, I'm feeling pretty accomplished this week~

**I've been a busy bee this past week. I managed to get my entire house (for the most part minus a few minor things) in order!... I was able to get the whole house deep cleaned,.... carpets, closets, cupboards etc.... I Was able to finally turn a spare bedroom into my New Workout Room! (Yay me!).... Today I managed to get the entire house pressure-washed,.... got my back deck painted,.... got the rest of the trees in our back yard cut down,....the garage cleaned,...And ordered new patio furniture so I can actually sit and finally enjoy it all. Got TONS of old clothes bagged up to give away and found some older ones that i fit into again! and was finally able to get to the nearby Lake again to get my Pup out for his walk as well.

**I am totally digging my New workout room, I didn't realize I accumulated so much equipment throughout my years of getting healthier. Its crazy what we rack up over time. But its soooo Nice to look at it ALL IN ONE SPACE....instead of all over the place!....This weekend is supposed to be great as far as weather goes, and even though things are "different" right now, I want to enjoy every moment of it... So I wanted all of the above done, so that I wouldn't have to worry about doing any of it as the weather gets nicer. It might be a little crazy how much I'm actually ENJOYING not having many responsibilities at this time! Its been REALLY great for my Emotional And Mental health for sure. I could get a little used to this for a little while longer. indecision

**Today since things are done, and the sun will be out, Intentions are to wake up and get a good walk in with my mom, and then hopefully to relax a bit and work on some minor projects as well, and hopefully get out and take another nice drive through town just to get out of the house for a bit.

ENJOY THE WEEKEND~ yes

@LinearWaves

Hey there!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are still having the same issues with your mom! That can be challenging. I can relate to that on some levels, I had to move home once or twice during my adult life for a very "brief" time between moves, and yes, when you are used to having your own space or being on your own, being with somebody else (parent or whoever) can certainly take a toll when you aren't used to it anymore.

Does your mom have any "hobbies" that she would enjoy doing (from the inside of course)? Books? Movies? Online Games or friendships?? Perhaps talking on 7CUPS even? lol.... Seriously. Sometimes its just good to have someone to talk to who can relate to us. Maybe that could help her?

I'm so glad that through all of this that you are continuing to stay on top of your workouts and goals that you are setting for yourself, and not letting it all bring you "down". Thats really great. Because it can be challenging to have these stressors when you are trying to "better" your own self as well.

I hope that while she remains with you that she is able to find something to occupy her time more so that she can also focus on other things that she enjoys without causing you continuous stress. And I hope that you are able to continue to keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself as well!

Thank you for all the positive words and vibes! You are so sweet. I so enjoy hearing from you each week. And I thank you so much for checking in to let us know how you are doing!

@PoliteOcean

Thanks a lot for your kind words !

She does have hobbies, its not really that shes bored but mostly that she tends to get overwhelmed when things arent much planned ahead, I'd say that's the root of the problem. Like shes already stressing about the un-lockdown and summer plans when we have literally zero visibility even just on next week...

Thankfully she now has some work to do so it will keep her busy and prevent her from checking the news so often and stressing about them!

Take care x

Hi. I'd like to state how I am feeling currently first. I'm cold. My sister keeps opening the door and cold air rushes through, and I just lash out at her to close it and complain about it. I don't think I'm healthy mentally if I keep getting angry at things, but i see my dad do it too often. My grandma sees a lot of similarities between me and my dad. I don't like that and wish I can change myself, improve myself faster. I'm sitting here, did a teensy bit of work-relating work, but haven't decluttered yet. I feel bad sitting here in the living room as my grandma does the laundry and things.

Throughout March I have found quite some good resources. Libby is an app for the phone to access audio books for free. Also the iTunes website for apple podcasts is available for everyone, so I've found motivational speakers there. i will continue to push through and dive into uncomfortable situations for work. I have to make calls to clients, etc. My goals for April is to have my work notebook filled with all the information I need to go day to day successfully and dedicated. At home, I will be having my room decluttered, and everything in it's place. For social life, I want to set the goal to eat out at a restaurant either alone to meet new people or catch up with old co workers. I don't know if it's achievable but I do miss eating out and spending money lol I saved money alot this month and I want to feel the feeling of being frivolous for a day in April.

@Skyy0

Hey there Sky!

I can relate to you about wanting to change and start taking actions but at first things always seem to be daunting. I get that. But that is a normal feeling, think of it as a borderline between where you are and where you want to be. If you take enough steps towards that borderline, you can eventually cross it and become the "improved" version of yourself. I wish you good luck on the journey, and please always reach out to the community and the listeners whenever you want to talk about anything.

Cheers heart

Hello All.

As most of us I am under lockdown, here we still have some freedom to go out so I've been busy getting food and groceries for the people I care of. Work I can do is minimal but I try to keep the pace and take care of productive stuff first. I've been very active at 7cups, posting, listening and completing trainings. Seems like yesterday that I sign in, but undoubtely being here gives you a sense of purpose and useful things to do with your time.

I've been also learning a lot. Start a course online on Social Psychology which will be very demanding, just what I was looking for. I am seriously considering a career change after the "normality" returns. Music has also been a lifesaver, with so many resources online I've had the chance to listen several concerts of the Berlin Philarmonic, Operas at the Met and just find today that the Andrew Lloyd Weber channel on youtube will be streaming Plays for free every week. Surely one can be productive, have fun and learn in this locked days.

One highlight of sorts is that luckily in the place I live there's easy access to fresh fruit and vegetables, I've had the time to make the best of this and been eating, cooking, -and providing my people- with healthy meals every single day. I've managed to take long walks and will try to go out to run at a very early hous from next week on.

Struggles. Of course the uncertainty of the times that will come later and how bad the economy and the health of the world would be damaged. Many people around has a negative attitude and it's hard to change their mood but I try anyway. Biggest struggle, trying to keep people well informed, fight fake news and misinformation, sort of preach common sense and, at leas I am trying, spreading healthy eating guidelines (it's a paradox that in a country where we have so easy and affordable access to fresh, healthy food, most people prefers to eat junk the outcome being: First place country in child obesity, Second place country in overall diabetes in adults). Stay healthy.

@Traveller8

Hey there!

Its great that you are trying to remain positive during such a crazy time. Its good that you still have the freedom to get out and get the things that you need for yourself and others. And its great that you are staying active through 7cups.

Congrats on your new Online course. (I've decided to do a few myself as well) "Fitness certifiations" etc..Its so great that we can do all these things since we now have the time to do them! Like you, I am considering (not so much a career change) but an "addition" to the things I'm already doing. Its awesome that you are staying and remaining "productive" through everything. And finding your saving-grace in your Music.

It great that you still have access to healthier options such as fruits and vegetables, and that you are able to maintain healthy eating habits during a time when others might find it challenging to do! As well as being able to make the time to keep up activity! Good for you! Keep up the great work!

I can understand your outlook on what things might look like once this all passes. What the economy will look like etc... I've been thinking the same thing. Its so nice that you are trying to keep everyone's spirits up and working at trying to educate them as well. And kuddos for also trying to educate and keeping up the importance of eating and living healthier during such a time!.. Its so easy to fall into bad habits during a challenging period. So continue to keep up the awesome work that you are doing there! And thanks for checking in this week!

Hey Everyone~ How have things been going for you over the past week?

My family's restaurant closed due to the outbreak being stronger in my county :( Thankfully we have some money in savings but I really hope the peak of the pandemic will be over soon.

**This is our FIRST Check-in for the Month of APRIL! It seems like the year just started. And here we are almost a quarter of the way through it?!.. Crazy?!... Looking ahead with everything going on at the moment, What do you see or anticipate for yourself in this New Month ahead?!

Honestly I cannot believe it. It seems as if New Year's was last year, but I think time flew by fast because of the many things that are going on this year. I do see myself trying to accomplish some New Years' resolutions, including playing the saxophone.

**What things will you work on OR continue to work on as we progress through the month? What goals or plans would you like set for yourself?

I love to write and I hope to publish a collection of poetry. I'll definitely be working on that.

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

I mentioned the struggles earlier, but one highlight I want to mention is that I'll be getting braces! Finally!

Hello Stan. It's good to see you determined to make the best of the difficult time. Good luck with the Saxophone, hope your neighbours appreciate your efforts too. The poetry is certainly a very good idea, hopefully you'll share some of your Poems with us. As you say, seems like New Year day was only days ago, but this year has been full of burdens that in time will give way to opportunities. Your restaurant will reopen and business will thrive. Wish the best for you and your people.

Hey there

Thats too bad about your families restaurant. Its so great that you all have finances to fall back on during a challenging time. Some businesses may not have that. Its good your family was prepared.

Yes this year certainly is moving by quickly, and I think you're right, that with so much going on its probably why. Who would have expected all of this! But its great that you are trying to keep up with the resolutiongs that you made for yourself. The Saxophone (while I do not play) has always been on my Top list of instruments I love to hear.

How nice that you like poetry and looking to publish. I write as well..... ... And wow, braces. How nice. I want them too. Its something I've always wanted but, never managed to get. Now that I can afford them, I find that I might look silly in them at my age. I would love to do Invisalign but I know they can be pricey ! How soon will you be getting them?

Thanks for checking in and keeping everyone up to date on things!

I'm tired and depressed. I knew this would be hard but I couldn't prepare myself enough to not be sideswiped. I struggle to get out of bed. I feel safer when I'm completely under the covers. It's not safer. I still feel lost, unmotivated. Alone with the thoughts that caffeine, tv shows, music, journaling, even sleep can't keep away anymore. No one can join me in my head. It's just me for the rest of my life.

@PoliteOcean This past week, my room mate Dennis went into the hospital for surgery, and when he came back he had large streaks of blood on his head. Thursday I had a telephone appointment with my doctor, and it went really well. My clinic is only having telephone appointments because of the virus. Friday I had a telephone appointment with my psychiatrist. I've been cleared of all psychiatrict disorders retro-active to two years ago. Friday I hired a new caretaker. My stress level has gone down a lot. On the other hand, I can't get excited about it because I don't know if she is going to work out. I am very sedentary unless someone takes me out in their car. My life is on hold until I get my coronavirus relief check.

Sorry to hear about your room-mate. I hope that he is doing better!... Its so great that your stress levels are down during a time like this. That is great news for you. And I know that you have had issues with your past caregivers, but its great that you have found a new one again, and hopefully this one will workout for you better than the last few. Seems like many others along with you have their lives on hold for the moment. But perhaps its best with everything going on that you stay safe where you are until things start to die down a bit. And hopefully your caregiver can at least get you outside in the sunshine and fresh air. We can all use that (at a distance of course). Continue to stay safe and well. Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you are!
