**AND ANY & ALL "NEWBIES" THAT WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH US!
**This past week has been pretty amazing.. I am currently away at the Beach celebrating my anniversary
... Through it all I have managed to stay on track with activity, steps & have had some AMAZING SLeep! Meeting my Sleep requirements (AND Beyond!) each day!..... I have however Not been on goal with meals, as I have indulged a bit on this trip. But, that was to be expected as it is a vacation!~ But ready to get back on track with things once back home.
**My trip is almost coming to an end, and I have enjoyed every moment. But I know it will soon be time to get back to the "real world".... And back to real life~ But, I will continue to stay in this moment as long as I can while I am here~
**I am not ready for August to come to an end, as I LOVE the summer months and I'm not ready to leave them behind just yet.~ I have some choices and decisions to make. Some uncomfortable ones, that I need to plan ahead for and still not sure how to do that just yet in regards to one of my Classes. But, I know its time to make those plans and decisions. Hopefully, things will come to me on how to proceed with that this week. And fall into place~
**ENJOY THE WEEKEND~!
This month has been a mixed bag. I returned to work after being out for one year due to illness. On the other hand, I ended up back in the hospital. I am home, but will need to have another procedure. I am trying to be hopeful, but it is becoming more and more difficult.
@UberRuminator
Hey there~
Wow, sounds like you have been through alot recently. We are sorry to hear that not only you've battled with illness for quite some time, but also that you had ended up back in the hospital again. We are glad to hear that you are back home. And we hope that whatever procedure that you have to go through will give you a more positive outcome going forwards. And that all goes well with everything! We send many positive vibes your way during this difficult time. And wish you all the best. We appreciate you stopping by to share with us this week and for checking in to let us know how you are doing. Please continue to keep us up to date on how things continue to go for you!
@PoliteOcean My week has been going ok, and bad mixed. Till now I don't know what does it will end. My morning has been okay till now, hope the day goes better ❤
@SoftFaith2004
Hey there Faith!...Sorry to hear that things have seemed to be up and down for you over the past week. We hope that your day ended up well for you and that things continue to get better for you going forwards! We thank you for stopping by to simply share your week with us and for letting us know how you've been doing and feeling. Thank you for checking in with us this week! <3
** This is our "Last" Check-in for the Month of AUGUST!... How do you feel this Month has gone for you overall? In "One" word, how would you Sum-up the this past month for yourself? Stressed would be the word: August was all over emotionally. . . . Money went missing, I think I misbudgeted, but medical tests had me up and down. . . I stuck over five times to get blood, and I just hope Septmember is better.
** What has been the BEST part of this past month for you? What goals have you achieved for yourself overall? My guy's birthday was this month and I had sent him a present that made on his birthday. I also lost five pounds and I cut back majorly on my soda and that is a huge thing.
** How many of you have been taking part in the 3 DAY WALK CHALLENGE?!!! How is that going for you?! What Benefits has this challenge provided you?! I haven;t but with my health i keep giving myself excuse not to get up and walk. . . feet issues, kneee issues and I shpould just take a tyenol and go for a walk.
** What have been your "Highlights or Challenges" this past week? My hornonals are off balance and I have not gotten anything clear to do from my doctors but lose weight. . . it's really frustrating.
** What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from you! My youngest brother helped me shop the other day and took me out to lunch. He has grown up to be such a good young man. I am very proud of him.
@Rebekahwriter13
Hey there Rebekah~ Thats great for you that your week wasn't so bad! That sounds like progress!...We wish you well on your ultrasound results and we send you lots of positive vibes that it will lead you on the road to getting to the bottom of things and get you on the road to feeling better!
Sorry to hear that the month of August was a stressful time for you... as well as an emotional one. And that things went a little hay-wire with your money. And even though having to go through medical testing wasn't the best part of the month for you, hopefully those tests will finally get you the results you've been waiting for in knowing why you are feeling the way you have been feeling. And hopefully September will be a much more positive experience for you!
How nice that you were able to help celebrate your guys birthday. And that you lost 5 pounds!! That is awesome for you! And that your healthy habits have been paying off with that and cutting back on your soda intake. Keep up the great work that you are doing there! No doubt that even some of those smaller changes will start to help you both Do and Feel better physically! Small changes can add up to bigger things!
Its understandable that with the way you are feeling that it can make getting up and moving around seem like such a major challenge. When we dont' feel our best it can certainly make things more difficult. But, with losing 5lbs, and making those smaller changes for yourself, perhaps working in or working towards a few small steps here and there will prove to be positive for you as well. Maybe just starting small with 5 or 10 minutes in the fresh air could help you to feel a little better physcially, mentally and emotionally! And yes, if Tylenol tends to help you with your pain, then that can be an option to help you as well!
Sorry that things have been so off balanced with your hormoes and that its making things more difficult for you. But from a medical standpoint, (even when we don't want to hear it, and even though it can be difficult to hear and frustrating as I totally get it).... I would have to agree with the doctor that even losing a "little" can yield such positive results!
Oh how awesome for you that you have such a nice brother to help you shop and take you out to lunch. That was really nice and loving of him to do that. And yes, I have to agree, he certainly sounds like a great young man! I would be proud of him too!.. That is really sweet and special. What a positive part of your week!....
Thanks so much for sharing your week with us, and keeping us up to date with things! We hope that you continue to hear good news in regards to your continuing tests and results. And wish you many continued positive vibes!
@PoliteOcean

@PoliteOcean
hi there ocean!! it's great to see you :) this week has gone better! this past month, overall, was a lot more difficult for me than i thought. i often find myself feeling really out of place and overwhelmed, but i do find moments and pockets of peace where things feel okay. if i had to use one word to describe it though, i'd say "unexpected". the best part of this month though was i finally completed the second and last run-through of my trauma narrative! it was difficult, but i'm really proud of my achievement. it took so long because i had so much to write it took up many, many pages but i got the majority of everything out there and i'm in the process of reading it through now which i'll keep working on. i've been walking for the past couple weeks though and it's been really nice! i didn't end up going out today though since my cramps are starting to come in and i don't want to be in pain y'know, but it was a nice start especially since i'll be walking all over the place with school coming up.
i've had lots of challenges, though i do have some highlights. my head has been feeling pretty full lately, of thoughts and memories and the like. i'm processing everything that's happened to me still, and there are all these new changes coming to adapt to. it'll be my first year back at school where i don't have to be super on edge and anxious about what i was going through at the time that was causing me trauma with people i know. me and my girlfriend are in the same timezone now and i'll be seeing them in person soon and i've never really had a good and healthy relationship like this where i can just be with someone like that. i've never been able to be so close with someone in person before and have it be okay and comfortable and safe where i feel loved. it's all good things coming, don't get me wrong!! i'm really really glad and grateful. it's just so different from the norm i've had for years, although unhealthy as it was. it's going to take some getting used to. i know i just need to remember that i deserve this. so that's a challenge, along with me dealing with my other emotions, or lack thereof where i feel kind of dull and numbed out lately. but i'm giving myself time. doing a morning routine for once has been a big highlight though, and also getting more into drawing every day has helped me feel a lot better and helps me get out of my head for a while. i'm working myself back up. thanks for the check-in <3
@mobteru
Hey there!.... Thank you so much! And as always, its so great to see you too!...
We are so glad to hear that this week has gone better for you despite the past month being more difficult than you thought.
Sorry to hear that you found yourself feeling out of place and overwhelmed. I know how difficult that can be. But through it all, its so good that you are able to find those moments for yourself filled with peace.
How awesome for you that you were able to meet a goal of sorts for yourself and complete your 2nd (and last) trauma narrative! That is so great for for you! And we are proud of you too!
That is really great that you have been walking for the past couple of weeks! Way to go on working on your overall health. Walking is so great for you physically, mentally and emotionally! And we are glad to hear that you are enjoying it and finding it to be really nice! Way to go and keep up the great work! ![]()
We are so glad to hear that despite all the challenges, that you do have some highlights for yourself!... And its ok that you are still processing everything! Thats what we need to do sometimes to keep moving forwards. And how nice that you will have a better time going into a new school year than before. And how lovely that you are able to move forward in a new healthy, loving & positive relationship! And its ok to take your time, in getting used to things and whatever "your" new normal is! Thats great! Take your time, there is no rush in doing so :)
And yes, we deserve to be happy, and healthy.
And that is awesome that you are also incorporating a "morning routine"!... We need to have routines for ourselves that give us a purpose and a positive focus. Some of us can thrive well on that when we've been through a lot in our lives. And for all your other positive highlights of getting into more drawing! Drawing can be so therapuetic!
Way to go on "working yourself back up"! And we thank you so much for sharing with us again this week, and simply letting us know how you are doing and feeling! Thank you for taking the time to check in with us. We appreciate you! Please continue to keep us up to date on things!
You are doing great! ![]()
@PoliteOcean thank you so so much for your wonderful message as always, it means so much to me and hearing your support and understanding is always appreciated!! i'll keep doing my best to adjust to everything coming my way, it helps a lot to be able to check-in like this. thank you, thank you <3
@mobteru
Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear and see that the check-ins are beneficial and helpful to you! Thats our hope for you! We are here for you to continue to support you in any way that we can! We thank you so much for being willing to share with us each week. Its greatly appreciated and lovely to read up on your week. :)
@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I went grocery shopping and also for a walk. Tuesday I started with a new therapist. It was just an introductory session but it went well. I expect them to read the notes from my previous therapist. Wednesday I went to acupuncture and also for a walk. Friday I went to physical therapy. They gave me new stretches to do but it's awkward to do them at home instead of a professional environment. Saturday it was really hot here so I skipped my home based physical therapy exercises I hosted sharing circle about 5 times. For spirituality I'm going through the book of Ezra. I still haven't received my homeopathic remedy from two weeks ago. For this upcoming week, I'm going grocery shopping on Monday, to the nephrologist on Wednesday, and physical therapy on Friday. I'm depressed about money so I'm still cocooning twice a day for about 30-45 minutes each time. I'm going to be getting a new roommate "Alan" this week. I know there's going to be an adjustment, I just hope it won't be too much of a disruption. I'm still struggling to get over bitterness. I'm still studying computers but I don't know if I will ever be cured of my injuries, so it's a struggle to stay motivated.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo, Glad to see that you were able to start your week off with a walk. And thats great for you that your intro session with your new therapist went well. Hopefully they will read the prior notes. If they are a good therapist, then thats in fact their job to get acquainted with those notes and to have a plan in place to proceed with your sessions going forward so they know what they are dealing with.... I think its great that you are getting so many walks in lately and getting stronger in that you are able to take these walks on the same days after your scheduled appointments. And its good that you are progressing in your PT with new exercises. I know how it can be a little unmotivating doing PT exercises on your own at home, I've been there myself. Some certainly come easier than others do. And I personally like the motivation of the therapist. Great job on continuing your hosting sessions with the Sharing Circle. Thats awesome that you have been so motivated to do so. And that you are continuing to work on your spirituality. Keep up the great work! What do you think is going on with your Homeopathic meds that its taking so long? Have you been able to reach out or has someone tried to reach out to let you know why?....Sound like you have another busy week ahead for yourself. But I also think its great that you are continuing to get the help that you need through all of your ongoing appointments.....I think Money tends to be one fo the biggest stressor for many people. So its understandable that you are feeling what you are feeling. And its ok to give yourself needed time each day. Hopefully things will work themselves out for you with that.....That will be interesting for you to get a new roommate. I know how challenging that can be when you aren't sure what to expect. And yes there will be that adjustment period. Hopefully it will be a positive experience for you, and perhaps you will even be able to form a friendship or connection of sorts with them?! You will have to keep us updated and let us know how that is going for you! Its great that you are still doing the things that you enjoy and keeping yourself and your mind occupied as well as educated. Doing so can continue to give you that purpose and focus each day even when not always feeling motivated to do so. But you are continuing to do a great job for yourself. And you are trying. And thats all that we can do is keep trying and not give up. You are so much better now than you initially were and you've come a long way for yourself! Keep going! And thank you for stopping by to check in this week. And for staying on top of the check-ins! Its so appreciated. And for keeping us up to date. Can't wait to here how things are going for you with the roommate situation. I'm rooting for you that it will be a positive experience.
@PoliteOcean
Hello Ocean, cannot believe August is coming to an end already. This month has been passing so much quicker than July for me. In a nutshell, I think I would sum up August as a Healthy Living planning and exercise time!
I have made a lot of improvements towards my overall sleep, diet, and exercise schedules. My mantra has been "balance".
My highlights definitely have been having more time for regular exercises. I still managed to do my walks indoors and nudged in times to walk around the blocks for groceries despite Covid Lockdown. My challenges have been to say NO and to keep calm under pressure. I'm grateful that I have been able to overcome my challenges through mindfulness exercises and regular rests/ breaks.
I cannot wait for September to come and for Back To School event!
@kindLemonade
Hey there Lem, I know right?! August (and this year for that matter has totally flown right by! Wings and all!).....
I love your "Sum-up" of August though! How awesome that this has been a Healthy Living and planning (and exercising) month for you!
Great job to you at making improvements towards your sleep, diet and workouts... I love the Term "Balance" as well. That is something I too have tried very hard to incorporate more of this year.
Awesome job to you on getting those walks in whether it be outdoors or indoors! All that matters is that you are making it happen despite any odds at this time. (I personally love "walk videos" that I can do indoors if I can't get outdoors for some reason)... Have you ever checked those out on Youtube?
Ahhh... those challenges!... I think we are two peas in a pod on those ones!! Those can tend to be things I too struggle with at times. But its great that you have been able to overcome your challenges and working on mindfulness (and rests & breaks) to get through them! I'm totally for breaks and rest when needed.
How nice that you are looking forward to good things and event planning. September can tend to be that transition period into a new time, a new season, and the last quarter of the year! Alot to work on, focus on, and get ready for. Thanks for checking in this week and letting everyone know how you've been doing, and what you've been working on!
Hi hi! It's been a long time since I've been on 7cups, but I needed to come back!
August has been challenging
The best part of my month/goal I acheived was... Being more mindful of what I'm eating, even if I'm not eating as healthy as I want to be.
Highlights: Mindful eating, mindful physical health awareness
Struggles: Motivation, circumstance, stress management
@betterchoices
Hey there!... We are so glad to see you this week! I've been thinking about you and wondering how you've been doing. Its great that you decided to come back and stop by to say hello!.. **waves hello**!
We are sorry to hear that August has been a challenging month for you.. and that you are struggling with Motivation, circumstances and stressors...... But its so great that you have been able to focus on being more mindful of what you are eating (or working on better habits). Thats great. Remember you dont' have to be perfect. Theres no such thing! Its lovely that you are just focusing on trying to make better choices and taking small steps to do so. And having Mindful eating, and mindful physical health awareness sound like really awesome highlights to me! You should be really proud of those steps that you are taking! WE are certainly proud of you and are here to continue to support you in any way that we can! We are here for you!...
Thank you so much for stopping by to share with us this week and for checking in to let us know how you've been doing! Please continue to keep us updated on how things are going for you!
@PoliteOcean
Oh thank you so much!!!
@PoliteOcean
** What have been your "Highlights or Challenges" this past week?
trying to walk more
@greenYard2803
That's awesome to hear, Yard! So glad to hear that you've been trying to be more active, walking is very good for our physical and mental well-being ![]()
@kindLemonade Thanks so much for your response. How about yourself
