**ANY & ALL "NEWBIES" ARE WELCOME TO SHARE!!**
**I started off this past week not feeling the best... I decided to make a physician's app't, and Cancel all my classes for the week..... I took some time off this week to just feel better and try to recoup. It was a "challenging" cross between feeling good having time away from instructing classes, to also feel bad/guilty that I had to cancel them, and also miss out on my "own" workouts/activity. But, I had to listen to my body.... So I pretty much had a Week off from any type of "Activity" ... but, managed to get back into it by the end of the week. It felt good to be back at it.
**While I took time and self care, I DID manage to stay on track with eating because frankly, I didn't have much of an appetite most of the week. But I still kept track of what went into my mouth and I was mindful to get good nutrition as much as I could tolerate eating. One thing is that I am surely for now on, going to start making 'Sleep' a High Priority (Night-owl or not)...
**I've been "leasing" Automobiles for at least 20years now, and my lease would've almost been up in another 3 months, but, I felt an "itch" to do something about it now with the Holiday sales going on and Auto lots wanting to push and get rid of inventory. So, I managed to trade in my prior vehicle and got a Brand NEW SUV tonight!.. I am SOOOO Happy that its all been done and taken care of and that I dont' have to deal with all of this in 3 months. I guess I can call it an early Christmas Present to "MYSELF"~. lol... I love it, its SOOOO pretty. I usually get Black, White, or Silver vehicles... living in the south, I find they are very easy to keep clean. But.. this time I took a big step and bought a NEW color, and got ELECTRIC BLUE!... Its soooooo vibrant. I just love it. lol....
**Anyway, those were the major "highlights" of the past week, I'm just glad to be back to my "Regular" normal self again, have my lease taken care of, back to working out again etc...Today is the Bi-Monthly POUND class at the local warehouse and they are doing a "CHRISTMAS EDITION" class... So my intention is to go there, get my activity in for the day, and then run a few Saturday errands, and then hopefully off to see a few Christmas lights Saturday or Sunday night.. Depending on how our time goes. And of course "Relax".~
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE~ ![]()

**What have been your "highlights" this past week? What are your weekend plans?

@Hope3729
Hey there Hope!.. So nice to see you
Nice to hear that things are going Good for you and that things are working out for you with school!..
Its so nice that you are getting "Snow"! I LOVE snow this time of year.. Sadly since I moved "South" I hardly get a chance to see it anymore.... You are very lucky!
I think I'd have to agree with you on the 'Time" factor! It truly does go by so fast.... Its like "blink" and you miss it!... I guess thats just another "reminder" for us to "try" to slow down and enjoy each and every moment that we are able to instead of "hurrying" through our days ~
Congrats on your Spanish Exam!! How awesome for you! I'm sure that was a very proud moment for you!.... And congrats on staying away from 'Toxic' people as well ;) Sometimes that can be challenging in itself lol...But you have to do what is best for "You"!
And AWESOME job on making time for 'YOURSELF!.. Self Care is the Best!.. And I'm sure that "yourself" enjoyed those cookies as well!
lol....What kind of cookies did you bake?!!...
Continue to keep up the AWESOME and Amazing work that you are doing for yourself, and thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing!
I
@Here2help10
Hello there!...Welcome to 7cups!... We are SOOO Very glad to have you here!.. I'm OCEAN, and I'm the Community Leader here for this Healthy Living Subcommunity~
We are so glad to have you check in here with us this week, and we are even more glad to support you through any challenges that you are dealing with.
First of all, I'm so sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time. Divorce I'm sure is not easy, as well as being separated from your kids... I'm a parent so I can certainly understand and relate to not wanting to be away from your kids any longer that you have to!... I do hope that you are getting some kind of outside personal support as well (Perhaps in the form of therapy, or counseling) to help talk through your feelings and sort things out.. And in addition we are here to help to listen and support you in anyway that we are able to as well!
Thank you so much for sharing all the things that are going on in your life at this time, I'm sure they are not easy to talk about.. although sometimes it can be easier than we realize to just "let it all out" and share our feelings with others when those feelings start to build up. It sounds like you have a lot of built of feelings and emotions. And I'm sorry that you find yourself beating yourself up over past regrets, mistakes, failures, and many other emotions that our hearts and minds like to build up with.
I think its really awesome though that you are taking care of yourself! Sometimes some people aren't able to do that with so much going on, especially with Bipolar & Depression. Its truly AWESOME that you are taking care of ALL of your basic needs!.. Continue to keep up the great work with that!... I can relate to being introverted when challeging times in my life occur. Its difficult to connect with others during those times, and very easy to just shut yourself off from the world...... But we are so glad that you found us here! And now you never have to be alone! .... Another thing that helped "me" that I NEVER thought I would do was get a "pet"!... Something else that I can have, hold, love, and place my "focus" on... Something that gave me a little "purpose" as well!... I found that I needed my dog more than I ever could imagine. And Its a way to never have to "Feel" like you are completely alone. Not when they are always there to "greet" you, "love" you, and just offer that emotional support when you are in a bad place..... Perhaps its something you could look into for yourself. Not to mention, maybe when your boys come to visit you, they will love it as well!
Thank you so much for checking in this week, telling us your story, and letting us know how you are doing. We are here for you anytime!... And hope that you continue to reach out, and check in with us each week to let us know how things continue to go for you!... Please continue to take care of yourself!
Ok so I just wanted to add that I searched the web for someone to talk to and of the many options that came up I picked 7cups. Im so encouraged all ready just to be able to see that even though this is a personal battle Im not alone. My hopes are to be there for anyone who I can support with encouragement and empathy.
Busy week, but keeping stress in check. Trying to keep food intake at moderate levels. Too many opportunities to break the healthy diet. Not doing bad, but could be better. I guess its good just to realize this, and try to stay on track. Exercise has been on a positive note. Still working on getting organized, a lifetime project I guess. New car will be a spring project for me, can be stressful dealing with car salespersons. Vehicle runs great, but time to upgrade. I try to avoid car dealers when possible.
Rainy weekend so indoor projects will be done. Enjoy your weekend.
@sail46
Hey there Sail!...
Always love to hear from you each week, and keep up to date with things.. Sounds like things are still going pretty well for.. Hanging in there and staying "steady" on your healthy habits?!... That is great! You truly continue to motivate me each week as I read your posts.. Just knowing that you are hanging in and staying strong and on track is helping to motivate me to stay on track as well!...December surely presents its opportunities to break healthy habits, but we know that "moderation" is always key.. and to keep staying 'Mindful' of course.
Good to hear that your exercise has stayed positive for you... weather keeps going back and forth, so its great that you are getting something in.
I hear you on those "Projects"... I swear when I start doing them, I think "Oh I'm finally going to get this (whatever it is) finished"!!... but then it seems like a day or two later, I look around , and I feel like I still haven't put much of a "dent" in anything I want to get accomplished!? lol...So you're right, it does seem like a "Lifetime" project~
And yes, dealing with car salesmen is NOT my cup of tea for sure.. Seems like I deal with them all too often with "Leasing" but, now I can't imagine "Not" leasing since I've been doing it for so long... It was supposed to be my "Spring" project as well, but I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that headache then... But I certainly wish you all the best at getting yours dealt with and traded up for something better that you desire. It should be a happy occasion (once you get past all the dealership nonsense) lol...
Good luck on all your "Weekend' projects.. (rainy here too)
....Thanks so much for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on how things are continuing to go for you (especially with this holiday season)!
@PoliteOcean
How are things going for you? Pretty okay.
**What has been new or exciting for you over the past week? nothing really hehe
**We are already "MID"-December already and that much closer to a NEW Year!.. How do you feel December has been going for you so far? I think it could be going better
**How have December "Temptations" been for you (Candy, Treats, Baked Goods?).. Do you feel you are staying on track or would you like to do better? I actually haven't been eating too many sugary things :)
**What are some thing that you feel grateful for, or feel are "Personal" accomplishments for you this past week? I am grateful for my friends who understand me :)
**What have been your "highlights" this past week? What are your weekend plans? ummmm I just rested most of today, but tomorrow I have work boooo
@Mellietronx
Mellie!! Hey there! So great to hear from you this week!
Sounds like things are still going pretty well for you overall?!...You're doing ok, (Staying steady, and hanging in there)~ No "December temptations" of any kind.. and awesome friendships from those that understand you! ~
You mentioned that you felt December could be going better... Is there a specific area where you feel it could be going better, or just simply overall?
Either way, its good that you "rested-up" today (sounds like you needed it) before having to go back to work tomorrow!.... Thanks so much for taking the time to check in this week and keeping us up to date on how you've been doing and how things are continuing to go for you!
@PoliteOcean I just have been having a hard time dealing with a breakup that happened in April. It's frustrating :/
Hi Everyone!
I kind of had a rough week, work troubles. My birthday was also this week as well, I stayed home so we could have a new heating/cooling system installed along with a new hot water heater. Not the most fun but it is nice having central heating again.
I can't believe how fast this year went and it's almost 2019. This year wasn't as crazy as the three years before it, my life is finally settling down I hope. I did gain back ALOT of the weight I had loss, and I am hoping to turn that around next year.
December has just been kind of rough on me and money is kind of tight. We are doing holidays on a budget, which is alright. Means I'll be buying less holiday treats. So maybe I won't overdo it with the food for the holiday. I hope.
My eating has been kind of all over the place. I had a healthier birthday meal of salmon, tortellini and brussels sprouts then followed up with WAY TOO MUCH birthday cake. The desserts always do me in. that and cheese.
I guess I am just glad I made it through this week, had an extra day off for my birthday, and got to relax and spend some time with my family.
@orangeOwl1462
Hey there Owl!.. So lovely to hear from you this week!
Sorry to hear that you had a rough week and troubles at work.. Was it anything specific or want to share?... We're here to support you!..
Also... HAPPY "BELATED" BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
![]()

Its great that you were able to get your heating/cooling system in.. thats pretty important.. especially with extreme weather.. Not sure where you are in the world, but its very chilly here this time of year.. I wouldn't want to be "without" that heat!.. lol...
It is very crazy how fast this year flew by... I'm so glad to hear that you feel things are finally settling down for you........ Sorry that you gained back some weight.. I've been there, so I can totally relate to that and understand the ups/downs of that journey. I think its really great that you are in a mindset of wanting to change that for yourself, and and turn things around for yourself in the new year~ You can do it!
Sorry to hear that money is tight, I can understand that as well... as December can be the worst for that... Its great that you all have decided to "budget" for Christmas. Theres no need to be extravagent if you can't afford to be... its all about whats in the "heart"... You can give a gift that means the WORLD to someone, and it may not even cost a penny!.. You know?!..
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your Birthday (With a good day off, Family) AND.... in the form of "CAKE"!.. lol... Who doesn't enjoy a good birthday treat!.. What I also find really awesome is that you kept your other food in moderation!.(Salmon, and Brussels)!.. Great job!.. (Me, I would've blown the entire day on whatever!) lol.... AND had the cake too!... So you did AMAZING!... Keep up the great work!.......

So what's up beautiful people?!
Share with me 1 beautiful and healthy thing that you did today. :)
Your good work can be an inspiration to others! So hurry up and keep spreading love and light.
I haven't felt the best this last week, but I'm feeling better today. I had an attack that got pretty bad in a short period of time last week. It was the day I worked out, and while that probably didn't help things I think it was a combination of some smoke and using some borrowed space heaters.
Today I tried a Core de Force class. I was surprised that it was more suitable than Piyo. It will be a good replacement for Circuit training if there are weeks where I can't fit that in/classes are cancelled but it's not really what I need for a complementary add on. There will be another class coming though, so one more to try although it's not being offered until a bit later.
I'm not sure when the next class I can do will be. Might not be until after the 7th, so a break from specific exercise, but travelling and stuff like that is pretty hard on me, so the break will be needed. I'll also be seeing my nephews multiple times and it's difficult to not be active when around them.
That was a great thing to do indeed! Its nice to hear that you're feeling better from what it was like. Newer ideas instead of the old boring ones can really be cheerful. Hope your day goes well. :)
@AffyAvo
@AffyAvo
Hey there Affy!...Good to see you this week.. Its good that you are feeling better after your episode. I wasn't feeling the greatest either last week. I really dislike having "set-backs". But I know for you, its a completely different matter.
Its good that you were able to try the Core de Force class. So how was it over-all? I can't say that I have ever heard of that before. What exactly does the workout entail?!
Its certainly going to be challenging to fit in activity over the next two weeks with the way the holidays run this year.... But I'm sure spending time with your nephews will more than make up for it! lol.... Enjoy them! And thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you.
@PoliteOcean It's MMA (mixed martial arts) inspired, a form of kickboxing cardio although some body strength stuff built in too. It's part of the beachbody stuff, so there's videos online for anyone who wants to look into it more.
It's different, there's music but no need to make the moves go along with the music (although kind of hard not to do that I find!). There's a 'bell' in all the music for it to show when to break, when to switch to the other exercise, etc. Lots of kicking and punching along with some floor exercises. The movements involve a fair bit of twisting so that workouts the core a fair bit. I'm actually sore today, but it's a good safe low level and pretty much all over. I don't think it hit all those funny little muscles though, it hit moreso the big muscle groups.
I did find the coordination aspect of it hard. Fatigue was part of that. The moves are just different than my usual stuff though. My experience with kicking boxing. Some of the stuff I found I had to just stretch instead of the exercises, but I've found that with circuit training too, my feet just can't take certain movements. In general I treated it similar to circuit style, took breaks while everyone else was still going.
