**This past week went decent...I stayed on track with most things (classes, meal plan etc...). I was completely "off-track" with my sleep. And feel I could've done so much better. I have to learn to not only lay down and "go to sleep", but also to not lay there and play around on my phone. Thats what causes me to be off track. Not just going directly to sleep.....With my hubby being out of town Friday, I pretty much spent Friday afternoon "crashed" and resting playing "catch-up" on my rest.
**The weather has still been colder, I'm still hoping for "One" more bout of "Snow" before the season is over! (Wishful and hopeful thinking!) .....I still haven't been able to get out and walk much. My body is so sensitive to colder weather so its more challenging for me. So still doing all indoor group classes on top of teaching my own. I can't believe we are already about ONE month out from "SPRING-TIME" already?! Thats so crazy to think.( Its like winter just started. Christmas was just here).. etc...Time goes so fast. But I know it won't be too long before I'll be back outdoors again.
**Not much planned for the weekend ahead. Hubby is still out of town. I got up and went to an early morning Dance class to get my workout in. I was supposed to attend another Self-Defense seminar but cancelled at the last minute since I just did a course a month ago..... Just thought my time could be better spent catching up on some things around the house, in addition that I didn't feel like spending the extra money for the course this week.......Hoping to get back to POUND FITNESS workouts at the warehouse next month. Not much else happening~
ENJOY THE WEEKEND~![]()
@PoliteOcean
Ugh I feel you about the snow. Living in Tennessee, I rarely see snow and even if there's snow, the snow won't stick and instantly melts the second it falls to the ground. People around me personally like warm weather but I cannot stand high temperatures and high humidity haha. Also good luck on your fitness journey! I'm envious you can stick to routine.
@StanDaMan78
Yes its the same here as far as the "snow"...Melts so fast, you can barely enjoy it. I lived in the North over half my life. So Ive seen alot of it for sure. I do however like the southern "summers" and the heat ONLY if I'm near a pool or have access to one! lol....I like that the summers seem to last alot longer in the south as well!..
Thank you for the well wishes! I really appreciate it!
@PoliteOcean
No problem!
@PoliteOcean
actually going to try to do this on time this week! ![]()
**This week has been lots of ups and downs (per usual). I've gotten off track with my diet and can feel it in my mood. I had a migraine, I can't seem to break them. I did yoga every day this week which was a big win.
**Best part of the week was getting a surprise in the mail from a long distance friend.
**Things have not really gone how I anticpiated this month. I thought I would have invested more time in looking for jobs and moving on out of my "breakdown" but I'm still feeling so stuck. So here's to another week of being gentle with myself and sitting with where I am at.
**It is currently winter for me and I am struggling. I've only had summer for a few years now and it's been insanely hard settling into the cold and short daylight hours. Although it's been difficult; it has also provided an opportunity for more inward reflection since I'm not as stoked to get outside in the cold. So in some ways it's been helpful but it's also been killer on my mood. Going to hot yoga has helped and I try to get as much time outside as I can to soak up sunlight.
**Highlights this week were getting a surprise gift in the mail, talking to a friend who makes me happy, letting go of some shit that does not serve me. Struggles this week: family therapy is harder than I ever imagined. Feeling pretty run down.
**This weekend: on friday spent some time with my friend bird watching then went to a support group. Saturday (today): beer yoga and spending a lot of time relaxing- feeling so so so tired today. Tomorrow I'm going to try to make it to a morning yoga class then maybe do something creative later in the day.
@GrowingGinkgo8847
Hello! Great job on doing yoga every day this week :) Aww a migraine sounds really hard to deal with. It must have been nice to get a suprise from a friend. I am sure you can come out from your breakdown. Don't be too hard on yourself. Winter is really hard to get used to! Going to yoga is a good way to soak the sunlight. Sorry to hear that your feeling family therapy is hard.
My favorite part of this week was yesterday when I ate more than I was used to and didn't compensate even though I felt anxious. I'm very proud of that.
I feel the whole month has been so up and down for me, but that is typical. Not excited for March because of jury duty but have to go and my mood the whole month hopefully won't be determined by that experience.
I'm in winter and I think it does impact me. Though I admit I feel a strong need to be a totally different person and let go of who I am now. I just want to let loose, maybe start partying while I'm still young. I need a personality makeover and usually don't start feeling that until spring or summer.
My weekend plans are homework despite hating it and probably gonna put minimal effort into it honestly. And try to forgive myself for emailing my professor a kind of snarky, negative message. Also, continuing my self care, nourishing myself in many ways. Sad the weekend is almost over though.

That's such a good idea! I'm afraid to cut my hair because it grows slowly on one side and idk how I'd look with shorter hair, sometimes I have dysmorphia and see myself with a masculine face. Perhaps... it's time to step outside that comfort zone. Really like the idea of changing something up like clothing styles. I tried that and have a bunch of stuff I'm too afraid to wear. I really want to crush that fear of being different than the reserved person everyone expects.
Hey there !
This week has been pretty good. I think checking in daily to keep track of my moods has been helpful, that way I can reflect on the day and see that things are alright when I start getting overwhelmed.
Im a bit disappointed about my friends still, Ive lost a friendship recently and I feel like Im losing another one lately. Im trying to salvage both friendships but part of me makes me question myself, because one friendship lost happens, but two so close in time, with my closest friends, it makes me think maybe Im the one at fault. I guess well see if I can salvage them. But it would really sadden me to lose them. In the meantime, things are going great in my new relationship so at least thats good!
This weekend has been pretty busy, its still winter here but the weather is getting more and more spring-like, so Ive been able to go on a run and Im hoping to go for a walk in the countryside later on today, and maybe do a bit of drawing in a few!
Im hoping this week at work will be busy, things have been really slow lately and I dont like this pace. Hopefully it should pick up!
I hope you have a good weekend and can get back on tracks with sleep! It sure is tempting to stay on your phone for a bit when laying down, but a bit ends up lasting pretty long haha! Take care!
@LinearWaves
Hello! Glad to your hear that your week has been good. Keeping track of your moods is a good way to reflect on the day/week. Aww, sorry to hear that things with your friends hasn't been great. I am sure you can find new friends. Awesome to hear that things are going great in your new relationship. Sounds like the weather is perfect to go for a run and walk!
How are you doing? How has your week been?
My week has been crazy weird. First I lost my Medicaid this month and then a week ago Monday (the 17th) my sister told me that I don't have to move immediately but that she and her husband want their basement back.
What was the best part of the week?
Asking to be the liason between my church and the non-profit I started working at and having it granted immediately.
We are headed into the last week of February. How do you feel things have gone for you this month? What would you like to focus on in the week ahead?
Circumstances beyond my control have created a lot of stress. With losing Medicaid I lose my medical support network through my counseling center and I've been trying to see what my options are to replace it.
In the week ahead I really need to focus on applying for jobs and the work search. I also need to remember to schedule "me time" in though or I'm not going to be able to function. One of the other threads in the forum this week asked what 3 things we could plan so we have something to look forward to in the week. I chose 2 episodes of Hotel del Luna, playing Fallout 76, and attending about half an hour of the prayer retreat I was planning on going to before learning about the hiring event going on this Saturday.
What season are you currently in? How do you feel it is affecting overall goals? How have you been dealing with this? What ways are you getting around it to achieve personal goals?
I am in winter right now. I am cold almost all the time. Its terrible for my weight goals because I'm always wanting hot things to drink like hot chocolate. Recently I've started drinking more tea. I still walk places, I just take an umbrella and/or bundle up.
What have been your "Highlights" and "Struggles" this week?
My highlights have been starting volunteer work. It just seems natural and it seemed odd the day I went into counseling instead. The second highlight is when I talked to the priest and he said I could coordinate as a liason between the church and the volunteer place.
My struggles have been feeling and not initially deal with abandonment issues brought up by my family (sister) not caring about how I need to fix things or where I will go.
What are your weekend plans?
Saturday: Go to prayer retreat for half an hour to 45 min. Go to hiring event until 5pm.
Sunday: Go to church and then breakfast with the church members.
@berryfields2409
Hey there!
Its so great that you are checking in on a regular basis. I think you are doing really great with that!
I'm so sorry to hear about your Medicaid. I understand how challenging that can be. We need to have medical coverage, and being without it can create a lot of stressors that go along with it. I do hope that you are able to find some other type of help? I'm also sorry to hear that you may have to find a new place to stay. Its good though that they are putting a particular "time-limit" on when you have to be gone. At least that gives you some time to figure something out. Do you have any friends or any other relatives that could help you out in the meantime? What about Shelters or Group Homes for the time being until you can find something more stable? Also perhaps talking to your local church about your struggles could possibly yeild some help and assistance as well?! Or maybe they can guide you in the right direction!
Its really great for you that the Volunteer position is working out for you!.. Thats awesome! Keep up the great work that you are doing there. You never know what other things or positive changes that can lead you to!
Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing! Please continue to check back and keep us up to date!
@PoliteOcean
I probably need to find counseling on a sliding scale. I wanted to do 7cups for a little while, but if the maximum is pulled out for my part B premium, and I do 7 cups therapy, I only have 4 dollars left in my budget.
There is a shelter in town but its only a cold weather one, meaning that when it becomes a little warmer in spring it will shut down.
The only people I know that I could go live with are my parents, and it wasnt a good situation the last time I lived there.
How are you doing this week? How has your week been going?
Not the best this week. Been sick and tired and just drained.
**What was the BEST part about this past week for you?
The best part was cleaning the bedroom with my bf, He made it so much fun. Then we went on a double date and then went with coffee with the girls.
**We are getting ready to head into the Final week of "February" .... How do you feel things have gone for you so far this month? What would you like to focus on in the Last week ahead?
This month has been up and down but i've trying to make the most of it.
**What season are you currently in? How many of you are in the winter months? How do you feel it is affecting your overall goals for yourself? How have you been dealing with this? In what ways are you getting around it to achieve your personal goals?
Still in winter and it almost to the end, one month left. It's making it hard to do my goal but i've been dealing my trying to push forward.
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?
My highlight was seeing my friends and my struggle is just my body is giving out on me.
**What are your weekend Plans?
My weekend plans are to clean and maybe go again with with the girls.
@Goldcherry2113
Hey there..
So sorry to hear that the week did not go the best for you, and that you weren't feeling the best either. Hopefully that things start to look up for you and improve!
Thats great that you were able to get something accomplished by cleaning your room AND the fact that you had a friend to help keep things "Fun" while you did it!... That sure makes things alot easier when you have extra help!
While things have been "up and down" for you this month, its great that you are trying to stay positive and "making the most of it" and trying to "push forward"!.. Attempting to have a positive attitude (even if not 100%) can still make things alot better to deal with moving forward.
Its great that you were able to get out and enjoy your friendships. Thats always makes for a nice time and helps to relieve stressors as well.
I hope that you are able to rest your body when needed, practice some self care. And that you are able to achieve the goals you are setting for yourself no matter how big or small. ..... Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you!
