**This past week was pretty busy!... Various appointments, and getting ready for another busy week ahead with double family birthdays~ .... BUT....Stayed on track with pretty much everything this week. Appointments, Activity/Workouts, Meals, Water AND SLEEP!! Yay! Finally a great tracked week of sleep!~
**Weather here has been crazy! 40F Degrees one day and 70 the next!
.....Literally in Flip Flops and Tshirts one day, and then Boots and Sweatshirts the next! But... just going with the flow. Spring will be here soon enough. Just a few short weeks~
**The weekend ahead holds various errands and getting ready to celebrate some family birthdays. So still got some minor shopping & planning ahead to do for those! Intentions are to start the morning (Saturday) with a Zumba workout and then possibly another Zoom workout as well. Just want to continue to stay on top of things and not let these times keep me from my goals.
ENJOY THE WEEKEND AHEAD~![]()
@PoliteOcean
**Hey Everyone~ How have things been going for you this week?
This week has been alright. Chronic illness was acting up a bit but the past couple days have been alright. Mentally I am not in the best place.
**How do you feel you did with the goals you set for yourself this month? What will you work towards doing better for the Month ahead?
I was able to get the grades in two of my classes up which was good. I am still working on getting them up to grades I feel okay with, but it's hard to find motivation. I want to work more on my self-care in March and really doing things for myself that I would otherwise not always take the time to do, like doing face masks and watching TV.
** What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from "YOU"~![]()
I kept up with doing yoga this week, not as much as I'd like to though. I want to get back into it. I want to take this weekend slowly, one day at a time instead of worrying about Monday on Saturday. I have been waking up early which has been super nice. On Tuesday, I woke up at 5am and got so much done. I didn't realize how much of a morning person I was until I actually got up early in the morning!
@TheMeadowSystem
Hey there!... Its good that your week was "alright" for you for the most part.... Sorry to hear that your chronic illness has been acting up for you and that mentally you weren't feeling in the best place. I'm sure that has been very challenging for you for sure! But its great despite those things, that the past couple of days have been better for you.
Awesome job to you on getting your grades up in your classes. Thats definitely a positive.... And I'm sure despite that not feeling the motivation now to do as well as you'd like, that it will come in time. Taking things day by day. And working on your Self-care is also a very great start to feeling better!
Great job to you on getting your Yoga in! Every little step counts! It will come together for you. You have to concentrate on taking care of your well being and doing what is best for you. Even it means on a "few" moments of Yoga. At least you got something in. And day by day, little by little, you will be able to work back into doing more. And taking things slowly to suit your needs is also another great start. And getting up early (I'm quite a "night-owl", so early mornings are not my thing).. .BUT...... I DO In fact know how much you can get accomplished when you are able to get up earlier! So thats awesome for you. The old saying goes "The Early Bird Gets The Worm"! So keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself!
Sounds like overall you have been doing rather well for yourself. We are proud of you! Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing!
This month has been filled with sadness as my mother in law and father passed away. The emotional roller coaster made me weak and I gave in to binge eating. The highlight of my month was bonding with my mom and celebrating my daughter’s accomplishments in school. I want to continue to try to live healthy and slow down my binging to appreciate my healthier choices. I think if I can enjoy the process of taking care of myself maybe it could help me to know my strengths better.
@warmheartedSailboat2021
Hey there~ We are so sorry to hear that your month was filled with such great sadness. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. And we offer you are greatest condolences! Just know that we are here to support you in any way that we can! Its so great that despite these things that you were able to find some happiness in bonding with your mom and celebrating your daughters accomplishments! That is really wonderful for you all. And We are really proud of you for looking forward to wanting to continue to live a healthy lifestyle for yourself and make healthier choices! Starting the process of taking care of yourself is a HUGE and GREAT way to start!
Its great that through all the things you have gone through in the past month, that you are remaining clear about the goals you have for yourself and where you'd like to be! And we are here to support you in those goals! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today and let us know how you've been doing. Please continue to keep us updated on things and how you are progressing forward!
@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I had a therapy appointment and later went grocery shopping. Wednesday I had an acupuncture appointment.
My acupuncture is going better these days. Friday I went to the chiropractor. I'm studying computer programming, but the more I get into it, the more I realize how much more I have to learn. My house manger has been late with dinner so I find it upsetting.
Sick people need stability. My problem is this is about the 5 time I've had to reconstruct my life from ground zero. I keep on falling into a pit, and I have to expend the energy to pull myself out. The same thing applies with therapy. I'm the one that has to expend the time and effort to heal the damage other people did to me. It's so unfair.
The feelings of meaninglessness have gone down, but still something I have to deal with every day. Next week there is a caretaker who is going to be moving into the house, but they will have a job outside of the house as well as helping out around here. I hope the quality of my life goes up. For this upcoming week, I have therapy on Monday, acupuncture on Wednesday, Thursday I have a psychiatrict appointment and Friday I have a blood test. I hope I get diagnosed with PTSD, that would make me very happy.
The thing I'm looking forward to most this month is I have an appointment at the hair salon for Friday March 12th.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo~ Sounds like you had another busy week of appointments. Thats really good for you that your accupuncture is going well for you. I can see how you'd feel upset over your dinner being late (especially if you are expecting or used to getting it at a certain time of day). Thats the unfortunate thing sometimes about this thing we call Life,.... is when you feel like you have to start over from the bottom and "re-organize" everything in your life all over... And "reconstruct" as you mentioned. You are not alone in that. But, its good that you're not carrying around the feelings of "meaninglessness" as much as you once were. That perhaps even your therapy is helping you more with those feelings? I see you will be getting another caretaker?! And a "live-in" one?! Wow, how do feel about that? Sounds like it could be rather beneficial and have great potential going forwards for you! What happened to Deysi? Is she still working with you as well? Or is she gone? I see you are hopeful for a particular diagnoses? Would getting this professionally diagnosed be of a certain benefit to you? Or is it for a personal benefit? Having an appointment (other than something medical for a change) seems like it would certainly be a positive thing to look forward to. Especially where getting pampered is involved. I'm sure it will certainly help you to feel better and have a new, refreshed look to start Spring off. Spring is about renewal, So it surely makes a good time to add some positive changes. What better way than to start off with a haircut. Thanks for checking in this week and for continuing to keep us up to date on how things are going for you!
@PoliteOcean I still have Deysi as a caretaker. It is unknown how much or how little the new caretaker is going to help me or my creepy roommates. My new caretaker isn't going to be giving me any rides but maybe they will keep the toilet cleaner so I don't have to look at my creepy roomie's fece stains when I go to the bathroom Getting diagnosed with PTSD will help me with explaining my behavior to my family. My family thinks I'm weird. I am weird for compared to someone who has never had any problems, but perfectly normal for someone who has been traumatized. Hollywood celebrities are abnormal and they make millions of dollars a year. My family is toxic anyways, so their perception of what is normal is skewed from ground zero.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo thanks for responding back!... Glad to hear that you still have Deysi helping you out as well. Hopefully with the new caretaker being "live-in" that it would mean they plan or intend at least to do good fair amount of things to help where needed!... And yes having someone to clean the toilet would be great. Thats rather important (not just for the times that we are in) but for ANY time! And now I see what you mean about having the actual diagnoses. It means it would give and show some "validation". I totally get that. It was like when I was diagnosed with anxiety/depression, my mom thought I was just "trying to get attention".
(Oh yes, Of course we "want" all of this negative attention right?)
Well hopefully this diagnoses (and validation) of what you are experiencing will prove to your family what you've had to deal with?! Please Continue to keep us up to date with that and let us know how that all goes for you!
**Hey Everyone~ How have things been going for you this week? Up and down, cleaning a lot..
**This is our LAST Check-in for the month of FEBRUARY~ Wow.. this month went incredibly fast~ How would you "Sum" up February for yourself? What do you feel was the Highlight of the month for you? Summed up: dramatic roller-coaster
Highlight: I focused on self love
**How do you feel you did with the goals you set for yourself this month? What will you work towards doing better for the Month ahead? I was anxious and easily distracted.
I hope to do better next month
**What have been your "Highlights or Struggles" this past week? Struggle. ...dealing with cabin fever.
** What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from "YOU"~
I hope the weather stays warmer
@Rebekahwriter13
Hey there!...Sounds like despite that your week has been up and down, that you managed to stay busy cleaning and getting some things done?!
Sorry to hear for you that your month has been rather a dramatic roller coaster ride for you.... At least we are at the end of it and ready for a new month ahead. Hopefully with some plenty of positive things.
Despite that you were feeling a little distracted, its a Great job to you on focusing on "Self Love" and using time to focus on yourself! Thats really important! Keep up the great work. I'm sure the more that you focus on that, that you will continue to do better and better the more you do it. Thus causing you to feel even better overall?!
I can understand you have the feeling of "Cabin Fever". With so much going on, and the back and forth of the past year with the pandemic, I can imagine that many are feeling the same. But, with the month of March ahead, will bring a change of a new season and warmer weather. So hopefully you will be able to enjoy getting out more for the "little things". Such as walks, or simply enjoying the weather itself and getting fresh air! It certainly won't be much longer now, just a few short weeks away~
Thanks so much for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on whats going on in your life and how you've been doing.
@PoliteOcean Thank you for your response. . . it means a lot to me.
I am dying my hair and I plan to work on edit.
My place is very clean this week so I am happy with that
