**This past week has been a little better than the previous week.. .Even though there was some small stressors, it wasn't as bad as last week. I'm still not "thrilled" of having to pick up an additional class to my week/schedule, as I'm finding it cuts into my "personal" time in addition to having to have different choreo for another format..... I'm still trying to "balance" it all, and waiting it out to see where this all goes. Right now, I'm trying to look at it as extra finances that of course are needed for things. But sometimes its just Not always about the financial gain, as it is taking care of your own "Well-being"....... and I feel that me and the owner, are still continually "butting heads" on things, so I've been doing my best to avoid being around her. Just going to continue to "ride things out" for the time being~

**So I got the trees in my back yard cut down last week, the guy who did it really gave us a great deal. But now as I look at it, my back yard appears "Odd".. I'm not use to all the "open-ness". And still trying to wrap my thoughts around adding a pool in a few months. I like it for my "summer" exercises, and it helps ALOT with my joint pain!.. Which is very beneficial in itself.... Its just a little overwhelming thinking about all the future "up-keep" of it.... The weather is going to be turning VERY cold here over the next week, so I can still put it in the back of my mind for now.

**Things remain busy for me this month, extra class, planning for my Husbands birthday at the end of the month, and dealing with my adult son who has some of his own issues going on at this time. So.. just taking things day by day, trying my best to continue on track with all activities and food (Which will be challenging with the birthday coming up, and my son wanting to eat lunch at my favorite place next week) lol... Lord help me~blush..... Today, I intend to catch a Dance class early in the morning, and then some minor errands, not much else except practice my choreo for next weeks classes.

ENJOY THE WEEKEND~

@PoliteOcean

Your situation with picking up an additional dance class reminds me of how many of my math teachers had to pick up an extra math class to teach. My school divides the school day into four blocks, meaning each student has four different classes. Normally teachers teach three and the fourth is planning period where the teacher can eat lunch and plan for the next school day. This school year we ran out of math teachers (some fired for sexual assault) so my calculus teacher is teaching freshmen algebra, sophomore geometry, junior algebra 2 and pre-calculus, and senior advanced calculus. These subjects are widely different despite being math, so I totally understand my teacher's frustration and yours too. But it's good that you enjoy your work and plus you get to stay healthy! My math teacher used to be an engineer for NASA, but somehow she ended up teaching instead (i guess she's bitter about that, which doesn't contribute to the situation).

I live in an apartment complex, but there is a very large and ancient oak tree that grows at the back of my building. Living in that apartment for 8 years now, they are planning to actually cut down the tree for whatever absurd reason. They are probably worried that the tree may fall on the building in a thunderstorm, but I'll definitely miss seeing that tree there, since I see it every day when i open my front door.

And happy early birthday to you and your husband! Treat yourself to something nice, you deserve it after all your hard work!

Hey there! Thanks so much for sharing about the situation with the teachers. I can relate in some way and understand their frustrations on some levels. Perhaps even the bitterness on another level as well... Its challenging to feel like you are forced to do something that you know in your hear you really don't "want" to do.... but at the same time, you don't to lose the progress that you've made and even let down others who in turn might need you as well.

Sorry to hear that you they are cutting down that tree!... Wow... Thats kind of sad when you think about it... its almost like that tree has been apart of your life, as you watched it each day .... I'm sure there will be a feeling of "void" there on some level once its gone. It reminds me of a Lilac Tree that used to sit by my "great-grandfathers" house years ago when I was a kid......Then somebody else bought the land that the house was on, and took it over, forced them out, and Cut down that beautiful tree!... Lilacs are so beautiful and smell so good.. I couldn't understand why they would want to get rid of it.....Fortunately my grandfather found a new place to live right away, but the tree of course is gone forever~

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes for the Hubby!.. I will let him know. Thats very thoughtful of you!... Hope you are doing well!. Take care!

**Hey there Everyone, How are things going for you this week?

Am doing well. We are having our university feast since ystd. So concerts, dj nights, feast , competitions many things happening. But am just not feeling in touch with those as am missing my friend, wish she was here with me, then it would have been awesome 😃

**Can you believe that we are past the "HALF-WAY" point of January already!? This month is moving by very quickly. How are you doing with your goals this past week?

Yeah the time is just passing so fast haha. About this week, I started my internship in 7cups this Monday and hence was looking at the requirements I have to fulfill. And apart from that, I am taking self care as I was ill due to fever.

we are moving to a new place so just planning about it with parents 😃

**What things have you been finding easier or more challenging for you so far this month? How do you overcome the challenges?

challenging things, I guess it's that the study load is so much and hence sleep is getting less, so for that I have prepared a routine and am working on it.

**If you could choose "ONE" goal to succeed at this month, (or even this year) What would that goal be?

Goal for this month is to study well for my feb month exams😃

and goal for year - to complete my internship in 7cups. As well as do summer internship from universities as per of the education and subjects internships 😃

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

highlights about this week was that. 2 days back I was walking to my hostel from class and there I was petting one buddy doggo 🐶 💞, who always visits me in the evening so while I was petting him, I saw a girl going in front of me who dropped a card like thing. And I went there to find it was a ct scan report card and so then I went and have that to the security guard 😃 and finally she got it. I felt good about that I was able to help one person

struggle- to be alone missing my bestie. All the parties and programs happening, yeah the batchmates are there but am just missing her, wish she was here. I wish I had the doraemon magic door, then I would have bought her here within 1 sec haha.

**What are your weekend Plans?

weekend plans is to do laundry, go to library, do the internship requirements in 7cups, study.

**What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from "YOU"~ yes

There are some people in our life, who may stay miles apart, but they are able to brighten our days despite of the distance and timezone difference. Bless those people. All these days I was ill, and then the work stress and study, but my bestie, she stays in contact everyday. It feel good for this person that despite of distance , the friendship grows and stays stronger 🤗

take care, have a good day ahead.

Hey there! So sorry to hear that you are missing your friend.. That can be tough. I know how much more fun things can be when we share them with those we care about.

How great for you that you are starting your internship. Thats awesome!.... And good luck with your move!.. How are you feeling about moving?!

Its awesome that you even though sleep is getting away from you, that you are preparing a routine for yourself!.. Sleep is so very important.

Its sounds like you have alot of great goals and plans for yourself to achieve!... you can do it!.... How lovely of you to do a good deed, and help someone else. I'm sure that really made you feel great inside. I know it always makes me feel that way when I can help someone out "un-expectantly"!

Its so awesome that despite the distance, that you had a great friend to continue to be there for you and support you.... I have a few of those myself and it does feel really great inside to know that they are there just "checking in on me"!...You are very fortunate that they were there for you during your time of illness and not feeling your best.

Sounds like everything is continuing to go really well for you!.. You are really doing a great job with things in your life. Thank you for checking in and letting us know how things have been going for you and for keeping us up to date!

**Hey there Everyone, How are things going for you this week?

Unfortunately the chaos in school hasn't calmed down yet, but I feel that everything is under control now. I'm able to balance everything a lot better in an organized manner.

**Can you believe that we are past the "HALF-WAY" point of January already!? This month is moving by very quickly. How are you doing with your goals this past week? I've been able to stay on track!

**What things have you been finding easier or more challenging for you so far this month? How do you overcome the challenges? It has become more challenging to stay concentrated. I always feel like I am distracted.

**If you could choose "ONE" goal to succeed at this month, (or even this year) What would that goal be?

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Well for my school's speech team we are hosting something called the prom fashion show, which is basically us showing off prom apparel in front of the school and charing people to come watch this semi "runway show." It's going to be very fun.

**What are your weekend Plans?

There is a reunion for a summer program that I attended last June and it is tomorrow! Can't wait to see my peeps again.

Sorry to hear that things haven't calmed down yet at your school... But its really great that despite everything you are continuing to balance things. And continue to "Stay on track'!.. That is really awesome

Its so challenging when we get distracted with things and lose our concentration. It makes getting things done alot more difficult. What sort of distractions do you feel are getting in the way?

A Prom fashion show!.. how fun is that!... Will there be other activities involved or will it mostly only center around the Prom-wear itself? I can only imagine all the beautiful attire!

Reunions!... I LOVE reunions..Now those are even more fun!.. How did things go for you?!....

I'm glad to see you checked in this past week and let us know how things have been going for you!.. Its always great to hear from you!

@Aisha86

Hi Aisha finding one's passions is indeed a tedious one because everyone's passion is not the same and is unique to everyone. If you want, request a chat with a listener so you can discuss this with an attentive listener. This gives me an idea to create a forum thread in this subcommunity about finding one's passions.

Heya !

This week has been truly draining. It went really well though, I was really worried about teaching these lab classes but they went really well! It just has been so tiring that I havent been able to do more than eat-shower-sleep once I got back home in the evenings. Im hoping that the next weeks of labs go more smoothly, well see!

I went off tracks with eating again though due to this new planning, Im trying to catch up with dinners meals but Ill need to figure something out. Today Ive been able to go on a run so that was good, tomorrow Im hoping to finally get started on that drawing I wanted to do and just relax.

Throughout the next months, I hope I can feel more like I fit in. Ive noticed Ive been feeling pretty lonely in this new place and finding it really hard to meet people as its a small town and I dont have much free time or spare money to go out.

Taking things days by days is probably the best thing we can ever do, and just do our best to go in the right direction for us and to redirect when that direction doesnt actually look right. Its great though, we can always make changes and redirect ourselves!

Enjoy the weekend, take care x

Hey there!

Sorry to hear that things have been rather busy for you.. but that at the same time things are going well! Thats a plus!....It can be challenging when we get off track due to the hectic schedules in our lives. But its really awesome that you were able to set aside some time and get in a 'run'! Good for you!

I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling out of sorts with trying to "fit in"... It can be difficult feeling lonely..Especially when you are finding it challenging to get out to meet others.... Are there any "free" events where you are? (Gatherings/festivals, support groups, churches, community centers etc...) Often those are "some" places that you could go which are free that are frequented by others. Just finding a small niche somewhere that you could fit into?.... I'm usually a pretty private person in public, BUT.... what I do like to do is attend fitness classes, (so for me of course, I meet my "niche" in dance classes or the like)........ So I thought perhaps finding something like that, that you might like to do, could draw you towards someone or a group that share the same interests?!...

I do agree though that taking things "day by day" is a good thing. Its really all any of us can do. We shouldn't live in the past, or really even be anxious looking towards the future, but just stay in the "present"... This is something that has at one point been challenging for me. But I totally get where you are coming from!

I do hope that things start to look up for you and that you do find a niche that you can fit into. You seem like such a lovely person that others would be so fortunate to get to know you as well!... Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing and feeling~ Please continue to keep us up to date on how things are going for you. heart

**Whew this week has been another doozey. I worked three days; lots of ups and downs there. I've had some mental relapses, feeling pretty shitty at times and 'sprialing' pretty quickly but I've tried really hard to look at it objectively instead of passing judgement. My dad told me he made an appointment for us to go to family therapy which is huge. I never thought he actually would; it's taken months since I asked for him to make the appointment.

**Goals: ehhhhhhh I'm not feeling super motivated this week. My main goal is to stay open on this self-exploration journey and I'm doing that. Still going to therapy, I hope to find some inspiration to write soon.

**Whew I'm feeling some challenges. Letting people in is so hard for me do but I know it's going to be necessary to make progress and get to where I want to be; a better adjusted human who faces adversity with confidence. Overcoming this will require me to lean into the support systems that I already have and actually LETTING them support me.

**My goal would is to apply to three jobs by the end of the month.

**Highlights: got a package in the mail from a friend overseas and it was a beautiful, thoughtful gift. Watched the sun set from a bridge overlooking a lake today (very unexpected which made it even more special). It's always the little things in life heart Cooked my favorite indian dish to have for lunches this week. Struggles: Wrestling these old demons is hard freaking work. I feel so frustrated and beat down at times but my understanding is that the only way through it is THROUGH IT. no getting around or over it.

**Weekend plans: reading, hopefully working on my resume so I can apply for jobs, might go to the public library. I intend to spend some time reflecting, meditating, journaling to help me understand my own headspace right now.

**I read another book on migraines and might add butterbur and feverfew to my supplements. Also taking magnesium (250-400 mg a day) leading up to my period to maybe head off the menstural migraine.

Hey there..

That is great that you are working....part time a few days a week is good. Sorry to hear that you had some ups/downs along the way with it as well as relapses. Thats the thing with Mental Health issues, that theres always that potential to go back and forth. But its really AWESOME that your dad has decided to take the steps needed to go to therapy with you! How great is that. That will be a great step moving forward in your relationship.

Going to therapy, Staying open to yourself and finding some inspiration.. I think those are Wonderful goals for yourself! It doesn't have to be "physically" related. Goals can be totally Mentally & Emotionally related. Goals are anything that helps you to be a better "you'"!... And its great that you are still hanging in there, and wanting to continue to work on things for yourself including opening up to others and allowing them in, leaning on support systems! All great steps moving forward!

While it can be challenging to deal with the "stuggles" in life... its awesome that you were able to find some positivity for yourself in the "simple" things! (a Thoughtful gift, a Sunset, and a Good Indian Meal)!...

I hope your weekend plans panned out for you and that you were also able to get a jumpstart on your resume!...And I think its great that you are still working on finding natural things for your migraines. I hear Magnesium is a good helpful source! Let us know how that works out for you!

Thank you so much for checking in and letting us know how things have been going for you and keeping us up to date. Please keep us informed on how things go with your father & therapy. It will be great to hear how that is working out for you!

Yes girl! Congrats on your successes in weight loss and I wish you all the best! I also had to throw away a pair of jeans recently because I gained a little weight in the thigh area for sitting too often. That's an indicator that I should be exercising more. The thing is, that pair was my favorite one because the shade of denim blue is very unique.

Hey all :) I am doing really well this week all things considered. My feelings have been emotionally exhausting but I have been coping really well by journalling, asking for help when I need it and exploring my inner peace. Today is day 25 of me being a gluten-free vegan. This has helped me feel better physically and mentally. This week I get to meet my new psychiatrist and am nervous but ready to heal. My goal is, to be honest with her. I came out as being a transgender witch I thought would be tough but was really worth it. I have a rheumatology appointment and am looking at Chemo tomorrow I am scared but it is really worth feeling better I think and feeling better physically will help my mental health. The body as a whole matter.
