**This past week was a busy one. Filled with Appointments, Family and Birthday parties~ But overall, it went well celebrating the hubby's birthday and simply being with, enjoying & spending time with my family~
** I informed my Regular Zumba group this week, that we would be going back to and remaining at only One Class "Indefinitely" from this point until or unless "they" make show a 2nd day is needed....... I decided that while I had to scale back during the Month of January due to lower attendance issues, that it actually cut back on a "few" stressors. And emotionally it was a huge Stress reliever. It feels like extra weight has been lifted off my shoulders....... I felt like we were supposed to be in this together as a group because we had been together for 2years... some for 10 years!.....and thought it was something they supposedly wanted (to be pushed, stay active, and get fit) and preferred my personal style of instruction. But, I guess many of their priorities have seemed to change for whatever reasons recently. And Only "they" can want it and show up for it..... And all I can do is what I can do on my part. So, I made the announcement to everyone who's in our Private Social media group.... And it was so funny because one of Regular Members who's been with me for 10yrs, kind of "Told-Off" the rest of them that haven't been showing up! And reminded them of how they "Committed" to coming "before" we moved back indoors and I took this indoor space!...., and that they "need to get themselves back to class because she wants her Two days a week back"! It was so funny.
....... I only HOPE that they ALL saw it and just how angry she was with them. Since its ruining her workouts b/c we need to have a "minimum" to afford to use the space,(which they did commit too) and it hasn't been happening this past month. I've just come to realize that I'm only "one" person and can only do so much. They have to do the rest.....So will see how this goes for February~
**Looking forward to February, and making and setting some "new" goals. And ready to get back on better track how I was before getting a little sidelined a bit with my injury. I'm remaining hopeful that I can get back into some small group classes within the next week since its still a bit cold to do much outdoors yet......... Not doing much for the weekend other than preparing for a few things in the new week ahead~
ENJOY THE WEEKEND~
@PoliteOcean
I’m really happy to hear that taking/saying this decision has cut back a few stressors and lifted you of this weight you had been carrying! I really hope that between this decision and some committed members like the one who told the others off, you can go back to two classes per week soon enough! As you say it so well though, you’re only one person and as it is class, it involves a group effort! It’s like if at school, only the teacher was doing it’s job, well no, the students need to study too else it’s not going to go anywhere!!
Take care and enjoy the weekend!
@LinearWaves
Hey Waves! Wow.. I LOVE how you put all of that together! That is Exactly correct! You hit the nail on the head.
I might actually use those Same comparisons with them, should I have to go any further and make another less than positive announcement with them! I love it.
Thanks so much for your great response and always being so supportive!
Heya! Well I can’t believe this is already the end of January ! It’s been a really busy month as I’ve been giving classes again. I’m really glad that it could happen in person despite covid, even if it involved more efforts. I’ll be back to my usual work in the lab starting next week, which I’m looking forward to as we finally got some materials we’ve ordered and that should give really interesting results! Maybe not the results we’d like though but it will still be really interesting!
The president is going to talk today though as the situation is deteriorating quickly with all the variants, we don’t really know what’s going to be said, if we’re in for a strict lockdown again, or if we’ll still be able to work, and I guess I’m a bit anxious about it as I haven’t been able to get much sleep the past few days. We’ll see!
Other than sleep, I’ve been sticking to a good working out schedule which seems to be enough and not overdoing it so that’s nice! Food has been okay, I should probably eat more though but working on it. I think I met someone good and I’ll see where that goes but it’s been really nice and it's bringing a lot of confort!
Anyway that’s all for me, at least not being able to sleep in is giving me the time I needed to check in :p
Take care!
@LinearWaves
Hey Waves!... Its so great to see you this week. I feel like we've been missing each other here and there each week. Like "hit or miss" lol....I know I can't believe it either that we've actually made it through the first month of the year already. Crazy that we were just ringing in the New Year in what seems like 2 minutes ago.....
Thats good that you are back to giving classes again if that is something that you enjoy doing.... And that you were able to do it despite Covid. And thats great for you that you are looking forward to being back to your work in the lab soon!
Wow.. that sounds like a really anxious time awaiting to hear what will happen again for you as far as another lockdown. I will be honest, I wish they would Lock things down here again. Seems like only half the population here listens to any of the recommendations. Its like we've never even had a Pandemic here. And our Country I'm pretty sure is the worst the last I heard. I do hope for you that whatever is decided that you will be able to deal with your feelings of that outcome and that you will be able to get some sleep for yourself. And that you are not left feeling too worried about things.
Its great that despite everything else you have going on in your life, that you are doing a great job with your workout schedule! Awesome!....And its good that your food has been okay as you say. Ok means that you are trying and thats all we can do is try to do our best when and where we can. It doesn't have to be perfect.
And how lovely that you have met someone! Thats great for you. Please keep us informed on how that continues to go for you! Its great for you that its brining you some comfort in your life. Thats the point of companionship.
So glad that you were able to have time to check in this week. Its always great to hear from you and glad we were able to catch up again!... You take care too! And thanks for letting us know how you've been doing!
@PoliteOcean
Thank you for your supportive words as always! Have a nice day! <3
@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I had a therapy appointment. It went well. Monday also my caretaker took me grocery shopping. Wednesday she was supposed to take me out but her heater broke. Thursday I had an appointment with my primary care physician. There's nothing she can do for me. I'm puttiing all my hopes into acupuncture. I told her about my blood test results and updated her with my progress with other providers. Friday I had an appointment with my homeopath. It went well. She is supposed to send me a new remedy. I stopped taking the old remedy 3 weeks ago because I ran out. It's a long, slow and difficult path. I've been getting a lot of treatment but only had minimal symptom reduction. It makes me feel good people are finally paying attention to me, but I've been stuck in a holding pattern for so many years I just can't go fast enough. My first acupuncture appointment is supposed to be for February 5th. It's really demoralizing to be such a talented person and be stuck with creepy room mates in a creepy neighborhood in a creepy house. My feelings of meaningless have gone down but it's still something I have to deal with. I want to buy my first home this year, but it's only a moble home. At my age I should be living in a mansion.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo Sounds like you had quite a busy week again! Its good that you were able to get out and go grocery shopping. Hopefully the acupuncture will be what you are hoping for. I know there was an issue with your insurance regarding that... I heard that if they list it as"dry needling" instead of accupunture that it will be more likely to be covered by insurance, so if you have any other issues surround it, maybe ask them to see what they say?.... hopefully your "new" remedy will work well for you. And its good that you are feeling that others are finally listening to your needs. The place that you are staying at now, is there any other places around in your area like it that you could go to that might be better? Or anyone that you could talk to that could help to improve the roomate situation? I'm sure that its been really challenging to deal with as well as your feelings and emotions surrounding it all. Never say never, perhaps you will be able to get that home you desire. Even if its a mobile home the great thing about it is that it will be ALL yours! So thats a positive if it gets you away from a bunch of roomates that you don't desire to be around or want to live with. That would be worth it. Thanks so much for checking in with us this week and continuing to let us know how things are going for you!
**Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing this week?! How has your week gone for you?
**This is our LAST Check-in For the Month of JANUARY!.. Wow, this month has gone by so fast already. How would you "Sum" up this past month for yourself? How do you feel that it went for you overall?.... Name ONE Positive thing that happened for you this month! Not as productive as I wanted to it be. . . I have been doing a lot self healing. . . I feel my writing and a lot of my outter things have not gotten done.
**What is something that you have learned or a Healthy Habit you've developed this month that you could take with you into the New Month ahead? I need to get more motivated. . . I need to stop paying attention to my stupid demons in my head. I need to set goals and stay focused.
**What have been your "Highlights or Struggles" this past week? How did you work through the Struggles? I keep fighting over writer's block and than I am not where I want to be with my publishing. . . I cannot focus or just write.
I also hurt a friend of mine when I told I did not have the same feelings. (He knew I had a boyfriend. but kept trying to flirt and pursuit me.)
**What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from "YOU"~
I am hoping Feburary I write way more.
@Rebekahwriter13
Hey there!....
Sorry to hear that your past week wasn't as productive as you wanted it to be. That can happen sometimes. Sometimes the week goes by so fast that it can be hard to keep up with things. But its great that you have been working on "Self-Healing". Thats very important. Good for you.
Getting more motivated, not paying attention to the "head demons", setting goals & staying focused are some great things to put your sights toward in this new month ahead! Great job for taking the time to think on it, and acknowledging those things. Taking one day or one moment at a time can help with those things. Working on them little by little. Maybe making a plan on how you could accomplish those things writing down some goals on how you would like to proceed with each one?!
Thats too bad that you felt like you hurt your friend who had different feelings than you. But sounds like you did the right thing and simply being honest with him! Perhaps just letting him know that you can still be friends and are there for him as a friend when he needs one could help. It may not take away the hurt feelings right away, but at least he will know that you are still there for him when the times comes.
Good luck on your February goals! And thanks so much for checking in this past week and letting us know how you've been doing!
How have you been doing this week?! How has your week gone for you? - This past week has been a rollorcoster.
**This is our LAST Check-in For the Month of JANUARY!.. Wow, this month has gone by so fast already. How would you "Sum" up this past month for yourself? How do you feel that it went for you overall?.... Name ONE Positive thing that happened for you this month! - This past month has been okay, nothing crazy, But it went okay. One Positive thing that happened is I've been getting back to my healthy weight.
**What is something that you have learned or a Healthy Habit you've developed this month that you could take with you into the New Month ahead? - I've been setting up a good morning routine and I feel so much better now, Here's to hoping I stick to it.
@Goldcherry2113
Hey there... Sorry to hear for you that your week was a "rollercoaster". But its great that despite that, the past month went Okay for you and nothing too crazy happened! And that you are getting back to a "Healthy Weight"!.. That is awesome! What exactly have you been doing? What tips can you share for how you've been able to do that for yourself?!
Thats really great that you are getting in a good morning routine for yourself! That really is a great way to start the day off. And being able to get so much more accomplished in your day as well! Good luck to you on being able to stick to it and keep at it moving forward! You are doing a great job. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how you've been doing!
@PoliteOcean I started doing yoga and cutting back on the snacks. I also just drink water,coffee, and tea. I stopped drinking anything else. Unless it's a treat!
I'm very late, sorry about that. Highlights of the month, I had a birthday and tried to spend it in a positive way and the whole month I let my aquarius "nature" just be what it was that day: creative and a bit chaotic. One thing I learned, 24+ hour fasts can have benefits and don't feel bad when done correctly. Might incorporate that into my life weekly, though I'm still trying to build muscle. I'm also learning chess which I think is good for my brain's health. I've also learned that if I take extra L theanine with tea & on withdrawal days, I have less stress Thanks for the check in!
@Lexloveslife
Hey Lex! So great to see you this week...
Sorry so late for the response, its been a hectic week so far. I finally have time to sit and read and respond!..
Hope you had a Wonderful Birthday it sounds like it was a positive day for you overall!
How are you doing with your fast? What is your goal with the fast? Like what would you like to accomplish and achieve as the end result?
Just a friendly reminder to definitely stay "Hydrated" during fasts!... I know when I choose to do a healthy cleanse Its very challenging for me to get in enough water...and with it being Winter as well, it makes it even more difficult. I had to buy a special Water jug to be sure I'm getting in enough between the two.~
Thats great that you are continuing to work on building muscle. Its important for us to be sure to make time for that for various reasons. (of course Added strength for starters)~.... And how fun you're learning Chess. That seems kind of cool. Something I wouldn't mind someone teaching me. Great job on working on that "brain health"! ![]()
Thanks for the mention of the L theanine.... Will have to read up more on that to see all the various benefits. Its certainly a positive that you are feeling less stress with it! I mean who wouldn't want THAT benefit! lol...
Thanks so much for checking in this week to let us know how you've been doing. I was wondering where you have been. Thanks for keeping us up to date!
@PoliteOcean
No need to apologize! Thank you, my birthday went well! The first fast I did (the 22 hr one) went well. I haven't completed the 24 hr one yet. The goal is emotional healing / release and increased mindfulness.
For hydration, I'm currently drinking caffeinated tea to boost my mood & give me a sense of energy. I should get some herbal tea and water into me too. You're right, hydration is important. Do you carry a 64 oz jug?
Chess has been interesting so far. It's been a slow learning process and one that I think will be worth while. I hope you can find someone to teach it to you!
L theanine's great, haven't found any adverse side effects but everyone's different. Maybe others (and you if you decide to try it) will find it useful too
