(And ANY and ALL "NEWBIES"!)
Well... another week down..
Started off with some Antibiotics.....some Anxiety.....Hardly any real exerise this week, Off track with my Water.... BUT... I stayed on track with watching what I ate and sticking to my Weight Watcher points! (I even had a small icecream to help lift my spirits) and my weigh-in was still great today!
Today is a NEW day, and also REST day.. (even though it felt like a "Rest WEEK" from what I normally do lol)...... But, guess it just meant that maybe I needed to slow down a bit. I did manage to Step in place this week and reach 10,000 steps each day despite how I might have felt. And got to take my puppy out for our walk by the Lake a few times...So I did the best I could with how I felt.
Had some 4th of July plans to go home up North this weekend, but those kind of got cancelled as well.... but oh well, will try again soon. I haven't visited my home state since 2011. So Its time! lol.... Hope everyone else's week managed to go well
@PoliteOcean.. Ooh no I have not but will be posting all my pics soon
@PoliteOcean WOW!! You hit 10,000 steps a DAY???? You are my hero and inspiration for sure!!!! That's amazing!
@DragonFaerie
haha...thanks Faerie.. yes, I tend to do 20,000 steps a day or more.. Thats Always my goal. But, because I had some issues this week and had to be on Antibiotics and meds, I wasn't up to fully working out like I normally do. So I just did some minor stuff to make sure I got to the required 10,000 steps. I guess ultimately it still paid off for me :)
And thank you! :)
Bought a scale.
been getting back into yoga and i feel great for it! it makes me so calm and centered
i hope i can stick with it this time, it's always the first thing i forget about when i'm busy or stressed
This wasn't a super week but better than last week for sure. I exercised more, ate a little better, and was less sad. I drank less alcohol and so I ate less candy, but still too much of both. I still have not lost any weight. Today I went to the farmers' market for the first time this season and bought some veggies that I cooked up for lunch, and froze some of that to have later. We also bought a bunch of catfish fillets and froze most of those, and will have some for dinner tonight.
@SadMe70
Oh wow Sad... sounds like you had a VERY great and productive week! Don't sell yourself short! ...This is an awesome check-in for you this week. I hope that things keep staying well for you. You did great. Keep up the great work! Perhaps you can share some pics of what you made in the self care thread :)
Things have been going well. Keeping to a schedule of trying to eat healthy and exercise. Anxiety levels have stayed low over the last few months. Which I am glad since February was a rough month, but thanks to 7 Cups and the positive messages, I am on the right track.
Well my lows this week were - I had a couple of lazy days that I didn't get a lot of done, and I didn't eat great and I drank too much.
My High's though were taking care of myself while I had the sniffles, but also not just laying in bed all day because I didn't feel great. I started some menu planning this week and hit some great sales to load up our freezer instead of running out for junk food when we're hungry. I also started working on decluttering part of the house. I had to change my mindset which was more like a hummingbird - flitting from table, to counter to dresser and picking up only 2-3 things at each place and never finishing one spot. So I worked on focus and picked up only one surface at a time and managed to clean off 7 surfaces and my living room feels so much better.
I also managed to start a craft project this week for the first times in a couple of years.
For the 4th no real plans, other than putting in some new plants I got yesterday and mowing and starting to clean up part of the homestead and gardens.
@DragonFaerie
Awesome check-in Dragon!.. You have been VERY productive this past week. Its great that you have gotten so many little tasks done for yourself. I think its pretty much written that when we get those "small" things around us taken care of like "clutter" etc.. that we start to feel better "mentally" which of course helps us emotionally and ultimately 'physically' as well!... Great job! Kuddos to you. Keep up the great work that you have been doing and thank you so much for staying positive and checking in this week!
I have been using my Wii Fit machine to do step exercise.
This summer, I want to swim outdoors. I find it relaxing to be outside in the pool.
Hi everyone! I haven't been on 7 cups in a while, and I miss it. :( I think after I lost my streak I just started coming on less and less frequently... Anyway, I am not doing well, which is why I'm back... It's getting near the anniversary of my car accident (tomorrow), and I feel constantly triggered and anxious, and yesterday and today also really depressed. Ugh! I've actually done a lot of self care stuff this week, but apparently it's not enough! I've written in my journal pretty much every day, listened to soothing/good music, done yoga before bed, even exercised a few days in a row (which I haven't done in a while), including running, which I haven't done in months, gone to bed and woken up at around the same time every day, gotten enough sleep, been making sure I'm eating healthy... :( I don't know what else to do. I'm not seeing my therapist again until next week. I can't see her any sooner. Aaah! I originally came on here to talk to a listener, but then I saw this thread, so I should probably still go do that. gahhhhh
@lovingBanana5204
Hey there Banana! Welcome back!...
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having such a challenging time. But it sounds like you have been doing a GREAT job at taking the steps to help yourself feel better or at least to try and move forward in a better direction. Its great that you recognize what to do, and the ways to go about it. I'm glad you have a therapist to talk to and to give you help and feedback on your progress as well. And its great that you feel you can come here for support and to connect with someone.... Keep up the great work as well as your progress! Thank you for checking in this week!
@lovingBanana5204
Hugs for you, Banana. Sometimes no matter what you do to care for yourself, it just doesn't seem to help enough. You survived a traumatic experience...so try to be kind to yourself. Talking to a listener could definitely help, especially until your next therapy visit. I hope that you are feeling better...keep taking care of yourself because you matter! ♥
@AlfalfaSproutDeux Thank you, I am trying. Thanks for your understanding words!
Well , another week with no progress. I made plans but couldn't start to do anything , it's just frustrating. I will try to start this week as well , never give up 💪💪
Thanks for reminding me that I am actually doing some things well!
