**This past week went well.. Continued to Keep on track with all things "Healthy" (meals, water, activity, & Even sleep was somewhat better this week). Taught all of my Zumba classes this week, & got some longtime Bills "paid-off", (YAY!), and got a surprise check in the mail!
(Woop!)
**Weather has continued to feel like the "Fires of HELL" This past week!
..... Literally standing outside for 5 minutes feels like you are completely melting..... Teaching classes this week was pretty brutal b/c of that but we made it through..... However, Got in LOTS of pool time this week, which was nice~. And finally got that Summer "Golden-glow tan" that I've been waiting to see. ![]()
**This weekend will be pretty busy...intentions are to get in a very early morning group fitness class, then got several errands to take care of. And then afterwards, will be heading out of town to the Coast for a few days~ Looking forward to it since I've never been to this particular place. Trying to get as much in as we can before the summer ends.~ And then immediately upon return, is my Stepdad's (and my Doggie's) Birthday! So we will celebrate "Both" when we get back mid-week. Then its back to business again~
ENJOY THE WEEKEND AHEAD~
Ugh I know weather has been awful, totally valid gripe. I’m really proud of you for continuing to take care of your health and especially hydrating, that’s so important especially with the ongoing heat waves this year.
@PoliteOcean Thank you
** What is One thing that you learned about yourself this month, or One thing that you would like to change for yourself going into the new month ahead?
This month I learnt that I work best under no pressure.
So, for next month I would be looking to find ways to feel less pressure (if at times I do)
** JUST FOR FUN: What is your "Favorite T.V. Show"?!
Many, but currently rewatching Frasier
** What have been your "Highlights or Challenges" this past week?
Just low energy and cold *achoo*
@DonaldDraper Hey DD~ Good to hear from you this week~ That’s great you were able to learn something about yourself over this past month. Low pressure situations are good to have and feel. Less pressure (to me), means less stress. And less stress is always a good feeling. Watching Re-Runs are fun. I think I’d rather watch re-runs of my favorites than the newer stuff that’s out these days. And “oh no” to the cold…. Not sure what area you are in, (assuming you are in “Summer” season), do you think it could be allergies? Hopefully you have or find some remedy that helps with that. Thanks for stopping by to share this week.
@PoliteOcean It's seasonal cold. It's Monsoon season here. But it alternates between sunny and rainy, so not really an ideal climate for well-being. Thanks 😇
@PoliteOcean hi there!! my week has been alright, though i have some tough things to get through, i'll be okay and i'll be able to celebrate my birthday on monday in peace. this month went really well though! my biggest accomplishment this month is allowing myself to be happy and to indulge in my favorite things without worrying about being judged and being overall affectionate. i was really scared to touch people and share deeper connections for a while, and it saddened me because it was something i loved doing so much and it felt like it was taken away from me, but i was able to work myself up and it's much much better than it used to be. the best thing was letting myself be more free. i feel more like myself than i have in a long long time. one thing i learned about myself is that i can get worked up pretty easily and i don't do well with holding things in and i'd like to learn to be more okay with letting myself be vulnerable with my friends and listening to them vent without fearing that they'll use me and things like that. my highlights this week are i'm more comfortable with physical touch! though a challenge im facing is cutting off a friend soon, but im sure i can handle it. some of my favorite tv shows though are mob psycho 100 and invader zim!! thank you for the check in ❤️
@mobteru
Hey there~ Thats good that your week was alright for you despite having some things to get through. And its good to know that whatever you are going through that you wll be ok! And that you are celebrating a birthday! Hope that you had a wonderful (and Peaceful) birthday as you wished!
Great job to you on allowing yourself to be happy and to indulge and your favorite things without worries. And its great that you have been able to work yourself back up to making the connections with others that you have missed! And that you are also feeling more like yourself again. Its great that you are also continuing to learn things about yourself and what you can handle and do well with and what you can't.
Great job on your highlights this week! And hopefully you can overcome your challenge at some point with that friend of yours soon!
Sounds like you are making some really great progress for yourself and that overall you are doing really well. Keep up the great work that you are doing. And thank you for sharing this week and checking in with us! Please continue to keep us updated on how things are continuing to go for you!
@PoliteOcean hi hi! thank you so much for your kind message. my birthday was harder than i thought it would be and it seems that my high expectations and my trauma made me feel a bit down, but i did my best to keep my intention to have a good day even if it was difficult. i agree lots though that slowly but surely working my connections back up has been good for me, although i need lots of breaks since i'm fairly introverted and need to recharge myself. thank you very much, i have been able to complete what i wanted to with my friend then even if it's been difficult. it's been a long week. i have been making lots of progress though, even if my best looks different every day. i'm more than happy to share and thank you for reading, i'll be sure to keep everyone updated!!
• This week was so so so much better than last week. Anxiety is still a daily thing for me in the form of worry and some slight sleep issues, and emotional eating (I gotta work on that), but, overall I wasn’t gripped by constant anxiety attacks like last week, and, I’m sleeping better little by little and eating more fruit and vegetables and hydrating. So that’s all good! • Not health care related specifically, but I suppose financial wellbeing and health… I’ve been working on trying to funnel clients to my own business webpage where clients can pay me directly, instead of the service I’m independently contracted with that takes 2/3 of the wealth I create to “manage the website” (poorly) and make it harder for me to pay my bills. Granted, the service does bring in more clients than trying to do ads and SEO optimization for my own business page, but ultimately I hope to bring my clients over, charge them less than the service provider charges them, and take home more money in the process. I’ve set up the webpage and got some of my clients to look at it. It’s a start! • Best thing about this month is fixing things with my SO / partner. Starting with the fact that I can call him my boyfriend finally after all these years. Maybe hopefully fiance or husband soon. I’m really so happy about that 😊 • I learned that while most of my life I valued my independence, and this is a good thing, there’s still nothing wrong with being deeply connected to and spending a lot of time with someone. I discovered I crave affection and quality time a lot more than I ever realized before, and that my “need for space” in the past was more of a quality over quantity issue. It’s not that I want to be left alone, it’s that I want to have time where I don’t have to fit a role for someone like with family or work, and I can just be 100% myself with no judgement. When I feel safe to be fully me, I don’t mind having someone there while I unwind and actually prefer the company. • I’d like to continue building my business so I can stop getting ripped off with my job, hopefully this August. • Man… I haven’t caught up with the last several seasons of it, but I really liked American Horror Story, and Stranger Things (I really need to catch up with TV eventually 😅). I also grew up adoring Xena: Warrior Princess, The X-Files, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. • Highlight: My boyfriend calling himself my boyfriend 🥰 (overcoming avoidance and relationship trauma from past relationships for both of us, so this is a big deal). Challenge: Adjusting my sleep schedule. The sleep tincture is helping a lot, but there’s still a bit of a curve to this thing it seems. • Honestly? Cats. Or cake. Just something super lighthearted and funny I’d love to talk about, sometimes I need the laugh for my sanity.
@Njorun1338
Hey there!.... So great for you that this past week was better for you. Thats a good thing. Sorry to hear that your anxiety is still lingering daily. I know how difficult that can be. And that its affecting and causing issues with your sleep and eating patterns. But on the bright side of that is that you say you weren't gripped by constant anixety attacks as you were the week before! Progress is progress no matter how big or small!
Great job to you at working on improving your financial wellbeing. Because surely we know thats also important to feel secure financially. And that are needs are being met. So thats good for you that you are working towards your business and what you desire from it personally!
And sounds like things are going very well between you and your S.O. How lovely for you both. And how nice that you feel things are going so well that perhaps your relationship will become even more elevated in the future!
And thats also really great for you that you are discovering things about yourself that you want and crave for yourself on a personal level. Theres nothing wrong with feeling both the desire to be "independant" while also craving that affection from another. Its ok to want both of those things on different levels.
I hear American Horror Story is a really Great show!... I kind of kick myself for not getting into watching it all when it all first started!
I hear stranger things is also good!.... I totally remember The X-Files and Xena And BUFFY!!... Those were really good shows that I too enjoyed for sure!!
Totally great on your "Highlights" for the past week... And Hopefully you will be able to come up with a plan moving forward to work on overcoming those challenges for yourself. I know how difficult it can be to adjust your sleep schedule. And yes, another great job on "laughing" for your insanity!...Keep up the great work on that! Sometimes we just have to laugh to keep going!
You are really doing a great job for yourself. And sounds like you are taking some really great steps to get to where you want to be. We are here to support you in anyway that we can.
Thanks so much for sharing this week and letting us know how things are going. Please continue to keep us updated!
It has been good that my bf and me are getting to a better place 😊 I was a little worried for a few days here recently, but I guess it’s normal for there to be some hiccups when there’s forward movement and positive change, some of the old coming in forms anxiety and mistrust. I think we just got past that hump a bit today though 😊 I hope things become even more committed and together-y as time goes on, that would be so happy 🥰 I agree, it’s okay to want to be “independent” in some ways in the sense of having equality and personal empowerment and able to do what I love and take care of myself, while also being able to care for my loved ones and have certain things seen as mutual and our shared life to take care of. I do want that, a life together with him. I need to catch up with several seasons of AHS and Stranger Things, I don’t even know how many seasons behind I am, that’s how out of the loop I am 😅😂 I watched the first 3 seasons of AHS, and 2 I think of Stranger Things. *Loved* that, but gotta watch more. And yes, I concur, BUFFY deserves caps 🖤 Yeah sleep and eat. Seems like basic things, but man do I get those f’d up when I get like this. Still trying to figure out how to do less overeating. People always suggest distractions and journaling, but mama raised a multi-tasker and I can do those things and eat at the same time 🤣😂🤣 Soooo back to the drawing board. I’ve gotten it under control and lost a healthy amount of weight for my health before, but I was in a much better mindset back then and this p4nd3m¡c %<¥€?! 🤬 that we’re all sick of has really blown back my mental health progress and physical health progress, on top of the trauma from my ex from abroad and my other ex-roommate really impacting my progress from several years ago before the pandemic and a bunch of other things. I’m doing much better now than I was this time last year, but it’s been a slow uphill climb. Haha laughing for my insanity 🤣🚎 That’s okay, it’s for my insanity too 🤪 haha 😛 Thank you so much for your support 🙏 It means a lot to have some help, even just active listening, I’ve gone a long time feeling kinda ignored and let down and I know that’s not other people’s fault entirely, life happens, but it’s really good to get this all off my chest and feel like somebody cares for a change. So thank you 🙏
@Njorun1338
I totally know what you mean... "overeating" can be a challenge. Especially when or if you have a difficult or unhealthy relationship with food. I've been there. And yes, I too am a multi-tasker so I TOTALLY get it! lololol
But its so great that you have gotten it under control and managed to lose before. Which means you can certainly do it and continue to do that! I too can relate to the pandemic getting things off track. It happened to me as well, and once again, I too found myself working to back on track with things. Some of decided to swim and others decided to for lack of better term "sink" a little when we were caught in this thing of the past year. But for those who found themselves sinking a little bit, as long as we don't remain there. And we are able to "lean into" and "learn" and remember our "WHY". And thats to do better, think better, feel better, and Live better overall! And its great that you are doing much better now, NO MATTER how "Slowly" you feel you are going! JUST KEEP GOING! You've got this! Just remember we are here for you, I'm here for you... we are here to support you in any way that we can and are able. I'm so glad that you stopped by to share again. And I totally enjoy reading and catching up on everyone's week! Thank you for your kind words, it feels good to know that just listening helped you in some small way ![]()

I appreciate your analogies here a lot, and thank you again so much 🙏
@PoliteOcean
**This week was very cansative but also productive, still feeling a bit sad about have lost my dog but it is a natural feeling and it will goes away sometime, i just have to be patient.
**This month for me was very challenging, motivator at the same time, what i have accomplished more was working on my book and also did my part here. The best thing for me not only on this last month but every month, every day is just being alive and being able to change, to do things better, to learn more about everything.
**I have learned to take more care of myself, to be more patient, what i want to change is the fact that i want to take things slow and not rush everything.
**The voice is my favorite T.V Show.
**My challenge was still to overcome the fact that my dog died and highlights was being here and supporting the community.
**I want to thank the community, all the people who support the website and the whole 7 cups website for existing and for the job that are done here. This is so important for so many people and for the world i believe.
wishing a very great month ahead for everybody.
@KACOSMIC
Hey there Cosmic!~ Thats good that overall you felt your week was a productive one for you. Sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit sad about your dog. I know how difficult that must be for you. Some people don't understand that dogs aren't just "pets" but they are also "family"!
.... But yes, sometimes things like this just take time. And theres no time limit on that. Agreed that it will come when it comes in time. And yes, also having the patience that in time you'll feel better.
Sorry to hear that your month was a challenging one, but how great that it was also a motivating one as well! And its good that you were able to get some things accomplised for yourself.And that you are finding the positives in being alive, able to change, doing things better and learning more! And also in taking care of yourself & being more patient Good for you. Keep up the great work you are doing with all of those things!
Despite the challenge of losing your beloved dog, its so good that you were able to find the highlight of being here to continue to support others during this time. ![]()

Getting some house chores done
@soufy
Hey there!...
How fun for buying new make up and skin care products! I don't know about you, but I love getting and buying new things. I think its great to treat ourselves as much or as often as we can if its something that makes us feel good about ourselves.
Great job on wanting to be more active and drink less coffee. I think those are some really great goals to work on for yourself in the month ahead! I think its awesome that you are wanting to work on making healthier choices for yourself. And we are here to support you in any way that we can!
And great job to you on getting some house chores done!... Its always nice to have a good, clean, un-clutter space. Its been proven that we are much more productive in our day when we have a clean personal space around us!

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I went grocery shopping and also for a walk. Wednesday I went to acupuncture, and Friday I went to physical therapy. The acupuncturist needs an authorization from my doctor to give to the insurance company in order for me to continue treatment. My regular doctor is on leave, so hopefully another provider will step up to the plate. For this upcoming week, Monday I'm going grocery shopping and for a walk. Deysi is going to be absent from the 4-6th, so no acupuncture. I'm still trying to overcome bitterness. I have these defense mechanisms so I want to be more open, but the question is to whom, and what sort of information do I tell them. There's a problem with my mother's estate. Too complicated to get into here, but I've been depressed about it for a few days. I'm losing my motivation to read poetry since being a poetry discussion leader seems like such a long ways off. I've been consistent with my spiritual time but isn't always bearing fruit.
I forgot to add that I hosted the sharing circle 4 times this past week. Yippee for me. ![]()
@Regmo
That's awesome, thank you for hosting!
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo!
Great job to you on having a productive Monday with getting your grocery trip in and a walk!.. And its great that you were able to get your appointments in this week. Hopefully the acupuncturist will get the needed information so that your appointments can continue moving forwards. Sorry to hear that Deysi will be gone again and that you will have to miss another appointment. Its too bad that someone else couldn't help to step in to ensure that you are able to get there? I know it must be challenging in trying to overcome those feelings of bitterness. That can be difficult to know who you can talk to , and share your feelings with. Or who you can be open with. And that leads back to "Trust" issues. It all boils down to who we can trust becase of a trauma that we have gone through in our lives. So we build up a defense to protect ourselves... Its certainly a process. Hopefully things with your moms estate (whatever they are) will eventually find a resolution. Sorry to hear you are losing your motivation with something that you enjoy. I remember how into writing poetry I was too.. for so long. And then things happen that we do lose that motivation. And to be a good writer or poet, that motivation certainly has to be there to proceed forward. Hopefully you will be able to find that again. I'm sure you will. Its just a matter of finding "inspiration". And great job to you on being consistent with your spiritual time! I'm proud of you for that. And yes, I know what you mean about the 'fruit bearing'. But keep staying consistent. Don't give up. Your consistency and faithfulness will pay off. Maybe not always in your timing.. but it will. Thank you so much for checking in this week, and letting us know how your week went for you and how things are continuing to go. Keep us updated on how everything goes with the acupunturist.
And awesome job to you on the sharing circle!! Way to go!
** Hey Everyone! How was your week? This week wasn't too bad. I rescheduled my physical therapy. I want to clear my OBYGN issues first. I have PCOS and my female problems make physical things very diffcult.
However I was upset yesterday. . . my mom and I got a lyft to do laundry and grocery shopping and the two drivers that we had were good, but the canceling drivers in between were rude and just mean. He had a guy drive up to us and just said no. I had a mask, but didn't want to do deal with our laundry. They could have been nicer about it, and then drove to a bar in the same outlet. It made me feelt bad and rejected. It's people like that, in which makes me not want to leave my place (I just want a nicer place not to leave: like with a kitchen, bathtub, my own privacyand a family cat.)
** This is our "LAST" Check-in for the Month of JULY!~ How do you feel this month went for you Overall? What do you feel you accomplished the most this month for yourself? What do you feel was the "BEST" thing about this past month for you?
I did manage to finish my personal writing goal of typing up 20,000 words in spite of my carpal tunnel. I worked through the pain and tingliness. I finished the month with my word count of 21,333.
** What is One thing that you learned about yourself this month, or One thing that you would like to change for yourself going into the new month ahead?
I am stronger than I knew. . . I can work through miniumal pain.
** JUST FOR FUN: What is your "Favorite T.V. Show"?! Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, Dharma and Greg, and Bones (I have more, but those are first that came to my head.
** What have been your "Highlights or Challenges" this past week? Challenges: Carpal tunnel, traveling, pain in my knees, and dealing moments of exhaustion and depression
Highlights: I have made good food. . . good coffee, awesome chocolate oatmeal.
** What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from you!
