**This past week has been about the same as most others...... Continued to stay on track with Workouts/activity, food, Water... Sleep started off ok at the beginning of the week, but is ending on a less than stellar note I was hoping for.

**The weather is "heating-up" again, and temps are climbing again back into the 90's-F..... No rain, been able to get out and get morning walks in, and continue with swimming after. My intent is to continue with these activities taking advantage of the great weather~ I've continued to increase my dogs activity as well and been getting him to his favorite place at the Lake so we can walk and enjoy the scenery afterwards~

**June has gone well, and hope to keep up the same in the new month ahead~ No new goals or plans but to just continue working on the ones that I've been working on..And increase my "strength" activities... I started lifting some weights again to help with more strength and definition.....I've been trying to keep up with this 2-3 days a week..... No 4th of JULY Plans here... since its on a Thursday, probably nothing too special this year~ Its been years since we've gone to any fireworks.....but sometimes my neighbors set them off and we get to watch them from our front porch. Which can tend to be just as nice and we don't have to leave the house to do it~ My husbands Family reunion is in 2 weeks, so the count-down is on for that as well to continue to keep up with goals~

**Husband is out of town visiting with his brother this weekend, so its just me and the "pup" doing our thing~ Hope to be able to get up and do a Zumba class in the morning and then hit the pool afterwards for a bit and then try to take care of some errands and tasks/projects around the house.... and then take the dog to the Lake~ Its going to be a hot one~

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND~

@PoliteOcean

I am probably going to get sick today. I am preparing for a day like that. So I am figuring out what I can do if my time today is limited - productivity in small chunks.

One tool I like to use is to ask myself the question, "What can I do today, that would mean when I go to bed I will feel that I used my day well?" Some days I can do lots of different things. Other days the things I do are only minute long tasks, like checking a certain small pile of papers for my missing vision prescription, or putting some cups in the dishwasher. Somedays I can even do creative stuff. :D And every day I try to do things that make me feel properly cared for - going to a little extra effort to make sure I get something to eat before I get ravenously hungry and that the food is nutritious, and feeding my brain and my soul with fun thngs and interesting ideas.

I have long term projects that I don't know if I can ever finish them - things like making repairs on the house. But what I can do is chip away at them in little increments. So today I hope to finish sanding my front door so I can start to paint it. - Today would be a good day to paint and the sun will not be on that side of the house in the afternoon, so maybe, just maybe I will not be laid out flat by then and can go down and get it started - but I will not push myself so that it makes me miserable, and I will not worry about it if the progress is appallingly slow. It's process, not results that count. I will never have to look back and say, "Why didn't I do that?" because I know I am doing the best I can.

Heya, Ocean! Lots of things have happened in June, and in the past week! Sat my final exam on Wednesday, got new glasses and prescription sunnies too on Wednesday, had a dentist appointment- the filling one- on Thursday and it didnt hurt!, saw my new psychologist on Friday and went to the gym on Friday too! I also finally started packing for the new house on Tuesday and Wednesday, celebrated my sisters birthday on Thursday, worked 8hrs on Thursday, 7hrs Friday and 7hrs today (meaning lots of money woohoo!) and today was an amazing work day!

Also, nearly every store has end of financial year sales going on at the moment, and I bought SO MUCH craft stuff for half price today! And I got to use my discount money too for further money off! Im over the moon haha and then next week- dentist appointment for next Wednesday, next psychologist appointment Friday, moving in day for the new house on Monday too!

Overall, June has been pretty good for me! Extremely busy but mostly fun and interesting events. I started setting up July spreads in my bullet journal and its going amazing! Im super happy with my drawings (all copied from people though xD Im not that creative yet!) and also going skiing with my friend and her family in July!!! Im soooooo excited for that- havent been in so many years (think 9)! And its winter- skiing makes winter more bearable.

As for July... new house and getting settled there, lots of health checkups and appointments with different people, and hopefully lots of gym since I have so much time free! And lots of work too, which Im excited about. Hopefully Ill be getting more work anyway! I also need to make my uni timetable too and enroll in next semesters units, which is not so fun lol

As for physical health, its going good! Went to the gym with my personal trainer yesterday and did legs day. Today, my legs arent sore at all! Im hoping that means Im getting stronger and beating the pain? Lol and the past few days Ive been doing 15k+ steps! Im planning on going to the gym for a fitness class- Zumba or Bodyjam- with my work friend! Im very excited for that, too. Havent been to a class since March/April, and I miss it!

Goals for July, probably stick to bullet journalling, drink 8+ glasses of water, do lots of self-care and find things to do when Im bored (which unfortunately is quite often...), go on 7 Cups a lot more, and enjoy my 3 weeks off before uni starts!

Take care all xx

@rebecca947

Hey there Rebecca!

Sounds like you've been very busy during the month of June with so much going on? I see you said something about moving in to a new house?? Not sure if I recall you sharing that info before in any of your past check-ins?? So you are moving to a new home?... The more I think about it, it does sound familiar that you have mentioned it... I can't remember who you said you were moving in with though?...

Sounds like for the most part you are doing your best to continue to keep on track with things going on in your life at the moment so that is a good thing for you ( in regards to your appointments, work commitments, family, exams and even getting in some physical activity as well) !

Its really great for you that you have some time off right now with so much going on.. and that you are also making and creating some healthy goals for yourself (through journaling, increasing water intake, and self care time)~ Those are all great things to do and try to fit in for yourself!

Its still really hard to imagine in being "Winter" where you are and the fact that you are even speaking of "Snow" frown.... I don't even want to see those words for another 6 months! lol....Its summer here and so hot right now.... I dont' even want to think about winter season just yet. I've never been skiing~ Sounds like its something you are pretty excited about.

With more free time on your hands and more time for 7cups, it will certainly be nice to see you in the community more often~ Thanks for checking in this week and letting everyone know how you are continuing to do!

**Hello Everyone, How has this past week went for you? I barely remember it, it's gone so quickly! I guess it was okay, I broke down had panic attacks quite a lot. But on Thursday, my boyfriend gave me a quick hug in front of my friend which I liked and I got to catch up on things with her as I haven't properly spoken to her in months. She is a lot more innocent than me but she is funny so we get on quite well. My knee has been playing up but I get to go to a sleepover today and I might be able to see a friend tomorrow and a group of friends next Saturday. The last two things are obviously a maybe but that's better than a no. Not long left until the school year has finished too! I can't wait until the summer holidays but it will go so quickly!

@peacefullistener22

Hey there Peace~

Yes the weeks do go by pretty fast... Sometimes it feels like you "blink" and the whole thing is done...

Sorry to hear about the panic attacks... I know those surely aren't a fun thing to deal with and can be pretty challenging to get through. Is there something specific that 'brought it on" for you? Its nice that you had your boyfriend to support you.. And that you got a chance to catch up and spend time with a good friend of yours.

When does your school year finish? What part of the world/country are you in?....At least you will get a break soon and breaks are always a nice thing.

Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going.~

Hey Ocean

Thank you for replying. Generally, my panic attacks are triggered by being overwhelmed or stressed. My school year finishes on the 18th/19th of July. I'm in the UK, England.

smiley I had a great week, thank you!
smiley This month was one of progress! I made it through, even though money was tight & it a) stressed out my body, and b) sometimes meant I couldn't eat very healthy.
smiley I'm so looking forward to a trip out-of-state for my boyfriend's brother's wedding!I'm also looking forward to a better workout-- my boyfriend wants to kick my butt in the gym!
smiley I'll try & celebrate, for sure-- it'll be small, but fun. Wonder where and if I could manage to catch some fireworks...
smiley Struggle: I didn't exercise intentionally like, at all this week. Highlight: I downloaded a new health app that allows me to count calories, and reminds me to eat healthier and to drink more water!

Hey there!...

How nice for you that the month of June brought you some progress ! Thats great!...And its great that you were able to make it through even though finances were a little "tight"... I know how that can be and how stressful and challenging it can be as well.

Busy week, but the weather has been warm, so finally able to start swimming. Sorry to see June go. Hope July is slower. Have been able to get back into a more healthy living. Had doctors physical this week and they always have you get weighed. I was glad to see I was 1 pound less than last year. Was not sure as some weeks were good keeping goals and other weeks could be better. This has given me a positive boost to stay on track. Looks like swimming will be main exercise going forward, which actually makes staying on track easier. Enjoy your weekend.

@PoliteOcean This past week went pretty well. I have been discharged from physical therapy because I'm too healthy, but I wish they hadn't done that. I go for an 8-10 minute walk every day but it's not enough. I should be going for 20 minutes twice a day.. Since I'm disabled, I don't want to put myself in a situation where I'm in over my head. Furthermore, walking only builds up my cardio, it doesn't build up my muscle strength.

I've been reading poetry and also literary theory, and I realize that I have a fear of happiness. I've been wanting to learn about poetry for over 20 years and kept putting it off. Now that I'm doing what I've dreamed of, I can't handle it. The reason is that I've always wanted to lead a poetry discussion group, and I'm very worried someone is going to ruin it for me. If someone ruins it for me, maybe I could start over with a new venue and new group of people, but these things are always easier to do inside my own mind then they are in real life.

My doctor has me on cranberry juice 3 times a day with each meal, as well as 450 mg cranberry supplement once per day for my kidneys. I don't have a UTI, but I guess cranberries are good for overall kidney and urinary tract health.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo! So nice to see you this week..... Sorry to hear that you were discharged from Physical Therapy before you feel you were ready~ I think its really great that you've been able to get out and walk! But its also ok for you not to want to "push" yourself too hard or too much too soon. But hopefully you can "gradually" increase your walking time each day or however often you decide to walk.. Perhaps 10 minutes , and then 15 and then eventually 20 etc... As far as building up your "muscle strength" do you think you could get some Light hand-held weights? Maybe you can get some 3-5lb weights that you can use gradually start out small. Maybe find some Youtube videos to help you. There are some beginner ones that can be done easily and some short ones for about 5 or 10 minutes. Maybe that can help you with gaining or maintaining your muscle strength if you are able to do that?

How nice that you are continuing to read poetry and that you would like to start you own group. If you have the drive and vision to do so, I'm sure you will do great with that. I do agree that it can easier to envision something in your mind and then more challenging to make it happen or into a reality. But its certainly NEVER impossible! So good luck to you on whatever you decide to do.

And yes, Cranberry juice is wonderful for our system and helping to cleanse the bladder and kidneys etc....If he has you taking that much a day then it sounds like you really need it. I like it over alot of ice myself... it tasted really good to me that way~ Especially on a hot summer day.

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing. Please continue to check back and let us know how things are continuing to go for you!

@PoliteOcean I'm writing this on Tuesday night. The next 10 days I'm going to have a lot going on, so this is a mid-week update. I went to the nephrologist today and the meeting went really well. My filtration rate has gone up from 33 to 38 over a 3 week period, so that's really good. If it goes below 30 that means I have irreparable kidney damage. My creatinine level is 1.9 which is very good compared to where it was 12 weeks ago. It used to be at 11 when I was admitted to the ER. Hopefully it will go lower to 1.2. I'm fortunate I don't have to go on dialysis. Starting on Wednesday I'm going to be looking for a new place to live. I hope to find something that helps me, and not just a warehouse for sick people.

Today has been another good one. I got things done and I got outside and I only got sick for about half an hour and then recovered. It's great for me when I can get outside in the summer and enjoy the trees and all the green - usually I have to stay in doors.

Hi there! Its so nice to have you check in. Its very great that your week has gone so well for you and that you felt well enough to go out.

May I ask why you have to stay inside so much? Is it an allergy or is something else going on? I do hope that whatever is going on that you will feel better soon! We are here if you need to talk and are here to support you any way that we can!

Thank you so much for checking in this week and I hope that you are able to continue to get outside more!

@PoliteOcean Hi Polite Ocean. - I have to stay indoors a lot because I am way too sensitive to the sun - just a few minutes usually will trigger a migraine. And when I say a few minutes, in the summertime that mean less than twenty minutes, even with sunglasses.

@Dondy154

Hi there!..

I'm sorry to hear that sunlight tends to bring on your migraines for you... I have heard how bad migraines can be... I know just having the common headache can really be a huge pain, so I can only imagine how much worse a migraine sufferer must feel.

Sunlight can often trigger some conditions for some..... I'm sorry to hear that you are one that is affected. I do hope that this condition is not something that you have to deal with often outside of the summer months. And that it starts to subside some for you as the year progesses on.
