Hi, i'm fairly new to this forum
I feel that March has been rocky, but this last week was a healing and recovering week. I worked out lightly for 3 days in a row. I follow only half a video... But I do continue on my own for 2 more minutes doing just jumping jacks or jogging in place because that's what my body tells me to do . relax. But I'll push to exercise everyday .I've been drinking 2 or 3 bottles of water everyday the whole month so that's progress.
March has been hectic and a time of self reflection and I think alot of people also began seeing the important things to prioritize. Prioritize health and family. I have mixed feelings about my job. I don't want to leave it but still...I feel I can easily break down because it's not a secure job in terms of money
**As we look ahead to the New month ahead, WHAT things would you like to see change for you?
Be even more excited about the day ahead. I'm not good with mornings lol I need to build habit of washing my face ,and doinga little wake up dance with my favorite music before journaling and then going on with my day. I am to Just be more committed to checking my to do list and then rearding self with reading time and maybe shopping online time . My to do list surrounds cleaning room, closet, throwing away all used and damaged things and then doing meditations and writing down life goals.
@Skyy0
Hi there! Welcome to the Healthy Living Community! Its great to have you check in with us this week.
Sounds like that while March wasn' t the best of months for you that you are doing better currently with a period of healing and recovery. Thats great for you! Great job on getting workouts in and staying focused whether you are doing half a video or doing your own thing! It all matters and it all counts. Thats great that you are getting in more water and keeping yourself hydrated.
I agree that March has certainly been a month for some self-reflection and priorities for sure!... Sorry to hear that you are dealing with some mixed emotions regarding your current job. That can be challenging. Its difficult to go back and forth in your own mind on whether you should stay or go. I've been there. So I can empathize to those feelings. You just have to weigh the pros and cons of it all, and decide whats BEST for you to do.
Ps. I'm not good with mornings either lol..
So I know how that feels. But... Its great that you are thinking on starting a new "habit" that can help with that!... Maybe you could start with a little at a time so it doesn't seem so overwhelming? Maybe wake up first with a little music to get your spirits up, and get you moving and up out of bed, then in a day or two after that, move on to the next step of washing your face, and then move on to your journal...
I love shopping online too!.. Maybe a little "too much" lol... But it can be a great stress reliever, or mood booster as well. And I love your "To-do" list! What a great idea! What better ways to make good use of all this time we have being indoors currently. Good for you!.. Thank you so much for checking in this week to let us know how you are doing and how things are going for you!
@PoliteOcean
You're so sweet! Such personal lengthy replies and I loveee it. Just yesterday I spoke with a listener who reccomended some podcasts for me and how she puts it in her morning routine and then we can talk about it together. It's a really really nice thing to do because I don't really have friends who can spare time with me to do such self care as this. My friends have other priorities..like their boyfriends or just...food, since whenever we do meet we only eat and take pics of the food. Lol anyways listening to podcasts ( mindset mentor.) as party of my morning routine is good and omg thinking back I felt horrible in the beginning and middle of March when I woke up super late. And still felt tired throughout the day. It sucked. I felt guilty for not greeting my parents in the morning but something in me kept saying that only my bed can support me so why leave lol
@Skyy0
Awww.... you are so very welcome! That is so sweet of you and thank you for your kind words. I am here to help with whatever I can! We are here to support you in whatever ways that we are able.
I'm so glad that you found someone here that can also help you with things and that you are finding joy in the podcasts. That sounds really nice as well as beneficial for you!
Always feel free to stop by here at the end of each week (or whenever it suits you) and join us here in our WEEKLY CHECK-IN THREAD!...I always do this at the end of each week (Saturdays) and you can always feel free to Share, or "vent"... and even help keep yourself accountable in your goals?! We are here to listen! You take care and hope to see you back with us here Saturday (and beyond)
@PoliteOcean
Hi polite! It's been 2 whole days that the listener has made zero replies back to me. I think I have dozens now, of listeners that leave me stranded like this. Its painful. Why should I hold hope that she'll text me back. Idk I was just writing alot to her and I was just texting to nobody. She probably got creeped out at the amount of texts and personal baggage I had thrown at her. I'm sad again.
But yes, I want to post about my day in terms of tasks done and how healthy i I feel. My dad bought some cheesecake so we're all eating that lol the cake will go expired if I don't eat it...
Hello everyone :) March was a very challenged month, full of changes related to our routine. Corona Virus appeared and we were not prepared at all. I feel great inside but I worry for my husband and for my son. My son is just Great we play all the time, however Internet has been a challenge for us in the past weeks without getting out of the house. I have been working much more helping people online. I found 7 Cups this week and It has brought me knew perspectives .... Thanks :)
@GMC23
Well hello there! Welcome to 7cups! Its great to have you here. And thank you for stopping by the Healthy Living Community. I'm Ocean the Community Leader.
Sorry to hear that March has been a challenging month for you (as well as many others) . It can be difficult for sure when your daily routine gets off track. I agree that most of us were not prepared for this or how long it could potentially go on.
Its good that you are feeling great inside despite the concerns that you feel for your husband and son. How old is your son?..Is he of School age? If so, how is he handling being out of school away from his friends?.... Or... If he is younger, how are you handling his playtimes and activity if you have been unable to get out much?
Its great that you are continuing to help others online, it sure can help to put your focus some place else besides on the stressors that surround you. That is how I found (and stayed) at 7cups as it continued to help me as I continued to "help others".
Thank you so much for stopping by to check in with us! I do a weekly check-in here at the end of each week on Saturdays, and we'd love to see more of you and how you are continuing to do!
