**This past week went alright, however I found it a little challenging in the beginning first few days... The weather Sunday and Monday was dreary, dull and rainy, and it just made me want to be completely lazy.... And more-so made me want to eat alot out of complete "Boredom" ... which was exactly what I did on Sunday. Having a treat is one thing, but the whole day just went out of whack for me with food that wasn't the healthiest of choices. I sat in Pajamas all day and watched TV with the hubby.~ I don't know.. tbh, part of me felt like I needed that "Chill-day" since I'm so used to running around doing so many things most days of the week.... It actually felt really good, and was kind of nice. I wasn't pround of the "over-eating" though. But got immediately BACK on track Monday morning!

**Monday brought more rain, and was hard to get out of the house again, but, I did my best to keep busy working on projects around the house so I wouldn't allow myself to cave in again.... I also have been doing mainly ALOT of "Livestream" workouts in the house since our Studio and the gyms are still closed of course.... And the manager just sent us a message that doors probably still won't open for the entire month of APRIL~ frown .... And my area and surrounding areas have been put on a "Two-Week" shutdown/ stay in doors order (except for whats necessary to be open, such as groceries, medical etc...) However there is not going to be ANY "Enforcement" of this rule or Citations of any type given if someone doesn't follow it... So it was actually kind of a MUTE point if people don't follow~ indecision

**The past few days since Wednesday, weather has picked-up and been beautifully warm and more Spring-like. And I did get outdoors with my mom to walk.... & Continued to stay on track..... We have to get 'Fresh air" daily and Sunshine. I needed that and will continue to get it when able! Vitamin D is crucial to our immune systems as well... Today (Saturday) intentions are the same. Get up to walk with my mom, get fresh air, enjoy the lovely weather, ...and then come back and do some house and "Yard" work so that we can at least get our property looking good for the Summer ahead. Prayerfully we won't be stuck indoors by then , but at least I can enjoy nice scenery in my own back yard for the time being.~

ENJOY THE WEEKEND AHEAD IN WHATEVER YOUR PLANS ARE~

The past week has gone pretty calmly over here. Im trying my best to stay focused on studying new things to keep my brain stimulated (biology, Spanish, watching documentaries or Ted talks). And also staying active by working out and setting not-so-useful goals like learning how to do a good handstand/headstand and improving my flexibility with splits, we do what we have to do to stay busy lol

Ill try and keep up with all that during April, the lockdown is only confirmed until mid April for now but it may last longer. Well see! Im also hoping to get back to drawing but its been hard for now. Maybe this weekend I can do that.

Other than that, its a bit hard to have days so similar, its like its always the same day, I find that Im getting more and more easily annoyed but working out helps with that. Its all about adjusting!

@PoliteOcean Its great that you were able to get back on tracks ! It can be nice and actually needed to have a cheat meal/day every now and then, whats most important is to get back on tracks after, the rest doesnt matter :) Plus, the good thing is, biologically speaking, if your body receives a big amount of not-so-healthy food at once, it goes directly in a kind of protective mode and burns more of it than it usually would! That was the nerdy minute haha!

As for the lockdown, maybe they will start some enforcement after a few days? It started without any enforcement at first here, they ended up putting a fine to discourage people, and then after a few days they increased that fine A LOT more.

Its a good reminder that we need vitamin D and the way to get it is by getting some time in the sun, I guess its something they didnt really think about with the lockdown… Enjoy your walks and backyard time, stay safe!

@LinearWaves

Hey there Waves!

Its so good to hear that things are going better for you this week and remaining calm!.. I know you were having some issues there being around your mom so much~... So its good that things have settled with that the past week..

Its great that you are trying to continue to stay "focused" under the current circumstances with studying, staying active, and also (those Headstands/Handstands)! lolol..... Goodness, I haven't tried to do either of those since I was a kid. I'd probably break my neck trying to do one now! lolol oh my~ Its fun though and makes for a good time when your bored! hahaha..

As far as the lockdowns go, it seems to be going back and forth, I keep seeing/hearing "Mid-April" then I see the end of April. I have actually somewhere in Virginia or West Virginia, that there was something implemented until June 1st?!!.. I'm like, Oh goodness....So yes, we shall see. All we can do really is just wait it out~

I know it can certainly be challenging doing the same or similar things day after day, you can get bored easily, aggitated easily, and/or of course "tempted" easily. But its so great for you that you have found an "outlet" that is helping you via "working out"!... I'm so proud of you for not giving up and hanging in there with your goals during such a challenging time. yes

Thanks so much for the "info" on "Treat meals".. (I don't like calling them "cheat"... to me that implies that we are doing something wrong).. When you are absolutely right!... It is in fact ok to have them every now and then. Its good to "shake things up a bit"... I try not to do that "TWO" or more days in a row though... BUT...... Oh well, it happens. We are not perfect beings by any means.

By the way, yes, that have actually just started this past week talking about giving "Fines" out during the lock-down..... Its sad that its come to this. But seems like it might be need for those who can't abide by the requests.

Thanks so much again for the sweet words of kindness.. and another great check-in. I thank you so much for checking in and letting us know how you are doing, and feeling. Even though we are all kind of dealing with similar itenararies at the moment lol.... You take care, and stay safe! Always enjoy hearing from you!

@PoliteOcean

Thanks a lot for your kind and encouraging words, theyre even more appreciated in times like these !

We shall see yup, hopefully the undergoing studies will provide good results on the cures, I know theres one from the US due by the end of April and an European one on which we should get some first results by the end of the week or the start of the next one.

And yeah for treat meals, were not perfect beings but most importantly its just normal to give yourself a treat every now and then!

Take care!

@PoliteOceann This past week I called 10 people in order to find a new caretaker. I get my leads from the public social service agency. The pool of applicants is pretty low quality. My room mate Dennis touched me unexpectedly and I blew up at him. The house manager says I shouldn't yell at people because it makes the other house mates uncomfortable. Well, being touched by a creepy old man with a lump on his head who wears diapers makes me uncomfortable also. Now with mandatory shelter-in-place orders, extraverts can finally find out what it feels like to be an introvert. During the past 7 months I've studied the books of Daniel, Esther, Ruth, Ezra, Nehemiah and Ecclesiastes. My next book I want to study is Zechariah.

Hey there Regmo!.. Thats great that you are getting some "leads" to help found a new caretaker. And at least you don't have to do all the work alone in finding one. Sorry to hear that the applicants are slim pickings currently. We are in a challenging time, so Maybe that could be the reason? But I could be wrong. Sorry to hear about the situation with your roomate. Sounds like you need a new one?! Hopefully they will help you with that situation so that it doesn't happen again. It sounds like you have been making some great use of your time with studying your books. Thats alot of reading. Great job on doing something contructive with your time while we all continue to wait out this current situation around us. Keep up the great work! Thanks so much for checking in this week to let us know how you've been doing!

This last week has been very busy as I'm a cleaner.

I live with my autistic daughter who's got asthma so keeping her occupied has got me frazzled (social distancing at home has her believing she needs to shout so I can hear her indecision).

So, it's Saturday & I'm feeling frazzled & tired.

I texted my boss to ask for the weekend off, no probs YAY! I've been sleeping most of today, listened to some relaxing classical & moved my noisy parakeets into another room for the day. My headache's easing a bit now, thank God.

My daughter is now in Cleaning Boot Camp to become my Ace Apprentice (keeps her occupied lol!) I've started making her a Girl's Den (though she says she wants to call it a Mud Room) so she can do her karate thang without offending the downstairs neighbours. There was so much Stuff to find a new home for it's been like a major logistical project. Keeps me occupied lol!

I decided an hour ago to have a complete rest tomorrow (Sunday) - pamper session, crochet a bit, tai chi, start my learning French thang & generally slob out all day.

Happy days smiley

Hey there!

Wow.. sounds like you had quite the busy and "productive" week!.. .I'm a self-proclaimed "neat-freak" so I get it... I'm always cleaning as well.

Sounds like you also have a really cool and special daughter! And how nice of your boss to give you the weekend off! Thats great that you can do that as easily as you were able. Its so nice to have a job and a boss like that. I had my fair share of "both ends". I like "this" end much better. And how awesome that you were able to use your time practicing "Self Care" and taking care of your own needs. Especially during such a crazy time.

I use to the same thing with my son when he was little.. make him my apprentice and we had MANY a "Den" in our time lol..Sounds like lots of fun. And Karate? Sounds like your girl and (my son in his younger day) could've been two peas in a pod! lol.

And "Learning French"!.. How nice... I took that way back in highschool, and did rather well with it, could speak it quite well, had Straight-A's in it for a couple years. But... When you don't "use it" you certainly lose it, as I can barely say hello and goodbye at this point! lolol... Keep up the great work!

Thank so much for the very cheerful post. It was nice to read. And thanks for checking in and letting us know how you've been doing the past week!

1. This month has been so odd! Full of changes and unexpected turns. Almost everyone seems either scared, bored, or both.Yall if you're bored would you like to do my homework? ...Please? It's been a great time to tune into myself. I've gone for 2 workouts in the last 2 weeks so not super focused on exercise, unlike most people it seems - but that's ok. I'm me. I'm over here just trying to take deep breaths, get through zoom meetings, and figure out what to watch next of Netflix while side-eyeing my homework. I acutally got some of it done today but have been procrastinating massively on finals and thesis which is really bad.

Nothing wrong with working out at home as long as it's not... like punishment for being stuck at home. I personally run on a treadmill at home. I just don't have the energy for it these last few weeks and that's okay. My body - not my brain - is telling me to slow all the way down while I heal. Body wins. So my goal of physical fitness has shifted quite a bit. I want to prioritize emotional fitness rather than attempting both at the same time :D Actually this past week in particular has amped up my desire to get emotionally fit, been journaling, trying to eat more kinds of food, and drinking more tea than I care to admit.

2. Prepping ingredients faster and trying new recipes! Long tangent: It takes me wayyy too long to get things done in the kitchen. blush Took me a very long time to wash and peel my sweet potato today - less time than yesterday but still. Got a veggie brush so hopefully that'll help. But peeling is... this whole other ordeal I can't seem to master. It feels lame but yall I'm so new at peeling potatoes I can't be too bothered with shame. Will prepping eventually take less time & become almost automatic?

@Lexloveslife

Its great that you are wanting to focus on other areas in your life such as the emotional side (over the physical). Living a healthy lifestyle is about all of it. So it certainly doesn't have to be about the physical all the time. I'm big on the whole "You Do You" and whatever is working for you to keep you healthy and happy on your own journey.

Meal-prepping. ..... What a great way to get ahead and a jumpstart on your meal choices for the days ahead. I know when I used to work full-time and i did it more often, I first felt like it was so time consuming.... But, its so useful and handy. And of course, the more you do most things, they do end up getting better over time, perhaps easier to some. Or maybe that you find ways to make things go by quicker, or short-cuts to doing things. So its just a matter of working at it and to continue doing it to see what works and what don't work for you personally.

Persoally as far as peeling... Always have an Excellent peeling knife on hand! In my family we use a knife called a "Perry Knife" which seems to help with potatoes... And as much as I LOVE sweet potatoes, I do not like trying to peel those things. One thing you could do is see if you can find some that are already Pre-sliced or 'Pre-peeled"... sometimes the right grocery store will have them in the fresh veggie section. Good luck! And thanks for checking in to let us know how things are going!

How has this past week gone for you?

This past week has been odd. Full of ups and downs but I'm trying to work through them. I've been dealing with depression most of the month and trying to work through it. I haven't been able to keep a steady mood.

**This is our LAST Check-in for the Month of MARCH! This month has sure gone by fast~ How do you feel this past month has gone for you in terms of "Goals" for yourself? How do you feel this month has changed for you from the "beginning" until "now"? How would you "Sum" up the Month of March for yourself?

I feel like I got pushed around and like my feelings didn't matter. I lost track of my routine and my healthy life style. So March has been more of a downhill month then a good one.

**As we look ahead to the New month ahead, WHAT things would you like to see change for you?

I would like to get back to a healthy routine and keep learning new skills.

Sorry to hear that things are so challenging for you at this time. But its great that you are motivated to work through them.... It seems like March has been a difficult time for you as well as others. And its certainly understandable when we are dealing with a challenging period. Having your feelings hurt and losing track of your healthy lifestyle I can see why you feel March has not been the best of months for you.

I think its really great that you are looking forward to a new month ahead with more positive outcomes for yourself as you continue to work towards a healthy lifestyle and learning new skills. Thats great that you are wanting to make those goals and they are very attainable! What new skills would you like to learn?!

Thank you so much for checking in with us this week to let us know how things are going for you during this time!

Hey there Mellie!

Sorry to hear that you feel like you kind of slacked over the past month. But with all thats going on, its understandable to that one might feel that way. Its easy to feel unproductive when so much negative is going on around us .... BUT.. its great that your goal is to "Not be a slacker" in the new month ahead! lol.. At least you can joke about it, and work towards making the new month more productive. Starting small might help?!

Thanks so much for checking in this week and stopping by to let us know how things are going! Always good to hear from you.

This week was full of quarantine decisions, the confusion between the necessity of going to work or not, the anxiety of my boss at work whether he would deduct the days of my absence or not, the loss of energy, enthusiasm, and the unwillingness to do something, and the feeling of frustration and disappointment because who loved him secretly turned out to be married .

This week has been, overall, pretty good. Dealing with some health issues (not THAT issue... Haha) so it's been a bit rough, but otherwise okay! Some ups and downs.

I've achieved a lot more goals than I thought I would, but more personal/emotional goals rather than career/life goals, though! At the beginning of the month, I was really feeling lost. Now I feel a bit calmer, and are warming up to task I have to handle! March Summary: One step closer.

I'd like to have more career discipline! I wanna wake up, exercise, clean up, eat, do my 7cups and dailies, and ACTUALLY knock out some work.

I hope nobody I know is doing any pranks! I feel like we're all dealing with enough.

Highlights: I knocked some things off of a very long to-do list!
Struggles: Managing my emotions, motivation

Hey there!

Thats great for you that despite dealing with some health issues and some ups/downs, that overall the week has been pretty good for you!.. Thats a positive for sure!

Its great that you are achieving goals for yourself. Regardless of which ones, they all matter and all count! And its awesome that you are now feeling more calmer, and that your March summary has you feeling "A step closer'!.. How great is that, Keep up the great work!

I love the goals that you are wanting to acheive and set in motion for yourself! And they are all absolutely attainable!....Perhaps just starting small, and do little by little each day and gradually build up. So that it doesn't seem so overwhelming to you all at once.

Despite your struggles of managing your emotions and motivation, its Awesome that you were able to be productive and manage to work on your "To-do" list!.. Thats great that despite all thats going on right now, that you are able to use this time in a positive way! Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing! Great job! Thanks so much for checking in this week!
