**This past week went well... still trying to get used to it getting dark so early on in the day... My Fitness classes went very well, kept up with and stayed on track with eating & water. Sleep went "mildly" better, but will continue to work on it....One of my providers wants me to take meds to help me sleep, but first, I don't like "popping pills".. and second, I honestly just feel that if I wasn't such a "night-owl" and took the time to lay down a little earlier than my sleep would be better. But I just can't seem to shut it down earlier. But I 'm going to try.
**The days have been turning VERY Chilly over this past week... I guess Fall is Officially here "Weather-wise" for us. I did manage to get in a few morning walks with my mom, and my Fitness classes have really picked up over the past week meaning theres been More people coming to class again, which is great. I pray that it continues especially with the winter & holiday months approaching. I'm hoping that people will feel that they want to keep "down" holiday weight gain and keep showing up!
**Its going to be near freezing temps for the "overnight" lows over the next week, so keeping up with morning walks or workouts is going to be a challenge. This is also the time of year that people (and myself) like to hibernate, and "snacking" gets tempting
.... But, I'm doing very well with that so far. Today was "Weigh-in" day for me, and surprisingly my "Birthday weekend" didn't do any damage.
So goal is to keep it that way through the remainder of this year/holdiay season.
**Today is my FREE day, and I am so excited to just "relax", and not do or think about much!!... My knees have been bothering me a little, so I'm just going to rest them today and do a few errands.
ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND EVERYONE~![]()
@PoliteOcean

Things kinda calmed down
I'm grateful for all my friends, that I got into a lot of colleges and got scholarships, nature, dogs, Netflix, my depression and migraine meds, that we have food, that I cleaned my bathroom so it's not gross, that the trimester is over and I did good, God, my mom and sister ofc, my teachers, Ohio, my older sisters are getting along finally, my sister is feeling better, that I was able to vote, that the clinic gave me a heating pad for my cramps, that nurse is an angel That I am not as scared of doctors anymore, that I have a maybe good doctor now
And 7cups
@wittySpruce8187
Hey there Witty! So great to hear from you...
Wow, can't believe you've gotten alot of snow already..... I used to get so much of it in the winter when I lived up in the North most of my life... Since moving South years ago, I'm lucky to see it may "Once" a year to every "two" years?!.... Sometimes we'd get some in late October. Its just hard to imagine now getting snow in November. I have to remember that I'm not in the North anymore and that is normal to see that happen lol....
Sounds like you have SOOOOO much to be thankful and grateful for!!! That is an AWESOME list that you provided there!.... Sounds like its "all the little things" rolled into one that add up to alot of thankfulness and gratefulness.
Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing and how things are going for you!
Hi guys. I'm new here, never done one of these before.
This week has been though, I need to turn things around. My room is a disgusting mess, I haven't cooked a proper dinner all week, I've only been eating junk. I haven't been keeping up with my exercise routine... Exams are fast approaching and I haven't done anything to prepare all week. I sleep until past noon every day. I am so ashamed of how I live my life right now. If I could, I'd change all of that. I'd clean my room, cook a real meal, I'd study for my histology exam, I'd go for a run... but I can't turn back time, only hope that I'll be stronger next week. The only good thing about this week, I suppose, is that I found strength to reach out to my friends for help on Wednesday through a group chat, and one of them took me out for pizza. I'm quite proud of that. I asked myself what I needed (food and human interaction), and I let myself be vulnerable and ask for it.
I want to do better this coming week. Writing this at 2 am on sunday night, I can see I am on to a great start. But I know I can't do it if I try to do everything right at once. Priorities: I need to pass my exam this Thursday. I need to study. In order to study, I need better nutrition, and preferably a healthier sleeping pattern. But I won't beat myself up about my messed up sleeping schedule. If I sleep until 1 pm, so be it. I'll just have to study when I'm awake. As long as I'm ready for my exam at 1 pm on Thursday, I'll call the week a success.
Hi Everyone:
Past week was a bit busy had to attend training for work. I made sure to bring a healthy lunch and snacks each day.
Still adjusting to daylight savings/seasons changing,
Otherwise doing ok.
Hope everyone has a good week!
@orangeOwl1462
Hey there Owl!... So great to hear from you this week!...
Sorry to hear that things took a busy turn for you this past week, but I think its AWESOME that you managed to "plan and prepare" yourself for it, and was able to keep up with healthy choices for yourself and stay on track with things!... Way to go!...
Continue to keep up the great work. And thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you!
** How has everyone been doing over this past week?! I'm ok fighting migraines
** How has the month of November been treating you so far? Pretty goid
**What are some positive things that happened for you this past week? What are you grateful for? I wrote over 20,000 word in two of my writing projects, I'm grateful for a patient family and caffeine
**What is something that you would Change about the past week if you could? I would go out more
**What have been your "highlights" this past week? What are your weekend plans? Write and clean
**What things would YOU like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from YOU!!
I feel broken and lonely
@Rebekahwriter13
Hey Rebekah...
Hope that you are starting to feel better sorry to hear that you are fighting those migraines..
Its good that you are finding November to be going well for you!.. Thats awesome! And its great that you are getting work done on your projects. Congrats to you on that....
Also, having a patient family is really awesome for you... not many can say that. Its important to have a patient understanding family who cares.
Hope that you are getting your writing and cleaning done that you planned... I'm trying to do the same (the cleaning part anyway)....
Sorry to hear that you are feeling broken and lonely lately... Is there a particular reason why, or have you been feeling this way for awhile? Is there anyone that you trust to talk to about how you are feeling? Are there any places around you that you can go to or just get out for awhile? Meet up with others? Sometimes just little things like that can help us to feel so much better emotionally.
Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you!...
@PoliteOcean
I'm lonely and broken because I've been single three years and I list all if my friends when my ex died
I felt better this week but did not get to all my exercise, and ate a lot! This weekend there were cakes on 2 different days plus a big dinner, for a family birthday. I did get out and take walks twice. I had today off, which has been nice and restful. Hopefully I can be good between now and Thanksgiving!
@SadMe70
Hey there Sad!.. So glad to hear that you are feeling better this week!... And I'm so sure that you enjoyed that day off and the nice Long weekend~.... Nothing like a good long weekend and extra time off to make you feel better all over~
Sorry to hear that you got off track a bit... I know that it can be so easy to do.... and the treats, temptations etc... whatever it may be, can be often challenging to avoid... But as you stated, just continue to do the best that you are able to do to manage yourself through the Thanksgiving Hoilday... I know personally its going to be a challenging time with healthier choices! lol...... Good luck to us all!
Thank you so much for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on how things have been going with you!
Things have just been very off lately. I have done some exercising since my last check in, but every time I do I end up feeling ill afterwards, even if I avoid the immediate crash. I haven't been pushing myself either, knowing that feeling well tends to be followed by that.
The schedule isn't typical this week, so I'm going to skip on my usual. I'm going to go with something at a rec center if I'm feeling alright - not sure what yet, Zumba Gold or something geared towards 'active seniors', I do wish they would change how they advertise those classes.
@AffyAvo
Hey there Affy, sorry to hear that things have been off for you lately.....but its good that you have found the time and energy to get a little bit of activity in for yourself. Seems like a double-edge sword though that you just want to be able to do something in a healthy way for yourself only for it to make you not feel the best afterwards....Its good that you aren't "pushing" yourself too hard.. I don't believe in any of us doing that... (pushing too hard that is).... Or what I like to call "over-exerting" ourselves to the point that it just make things worse.
And I also know what you mean about the "Active senior" type classes.. as a Zumba Gold instructor myself, ( I do teach an active/older population with it).. but... I really try to take that emphasis of 'seniors' out of that equation.... I just don't feel comfortable with it.. I want them to know its for everyone, and not just Senior citizens. I like to emphasize that its really a "lower impact" workout, for ANYONE rather than a "senior" workout like most people like to believe....... Maybe someday, one day, people will start to realize that?!...
Thanks so much for checkin in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you!
Hi all!! *waves*
Hasn't been the best couple weeks for me. And i hate using my crazy work schedule of working 12 hr shifts (days or nights) 5 days a week and an excuse...but I havent been drinking alot of water and havent really been making the best food choices. Soooo needless to say, i'm trying my best to get back on track.
Hope all is well :D
@Keola
Hey there girl!... So great to hear from you!....
Sounds like you've been pretty busy though.. I remember those 12 hour shifts working as a nurse. Its not easy... Just remember to find time for yourself to unload, and take care of "YOU" too!!.. Its so easy to get "lost" in our work as nurses, and get lost in the lives of our patients and others, but "You" are important too!
And remember you don't have to be "perfect".... just a little self care, and taking the time to 'prep and plan' will help you to stay on track better. Its still takes "work" though lol (seems like theres no way to get around that part).. lol.. but I hope that all is well with you just the same, and thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you! Please stay in touch and take care of yourself!
@PoliteOcean
Hi, nice to meet you.
** How has everyone been doing over this past week?!
I've been a little up and down this week. Physically I've been really tired for some reason. I may have been fighting off a small cold, or it was allergies, I couldn't really tell. It affected my moods a lot. Also, my husband was away for work for a few days, so I had some increased stress having the kids alone. All in all though, I think the week was still good. I've been reading a lot and had some breakthroughs.
** How has the month of November been treating you so far?
Pretty well. I have a lot of changes going on in my life, so I've been getting organized and that feels good.
**What are some positive things that happened for you this past week? What are you grateful for?
I was still able to make time for reading and writing. I'm feeling grateful for my kids. And maybe even for being who I am. I won't think on that too much before I regret saying it - haha.
**What is something that you would Change about the past week if you could?
Nothing.
**What have been your "highlights" this past week? What are your weekend plans?
Hopefully the highlight will be hearing back about moving. Weekend will probably involve cleaning, organizing, and decluttering. And getting ready for Thanksgiving.
@SentientiaPoecile

@PoliteOcean Overall, today was a good week. I stayed on top of going to the gym (3 days of cardio this week), but my diet was kinda junky :/. I'll work on it this week
@Lars12
