**AND ANY & ALL NEWBIES!!
****This past week has gone by pretty fast....Anxiety levels were managable. So always a good thing.![]()
****Kept on track with my meals (for the most part) (Although had a little 'Italian" today when I went out with my hubby who's a VET for Veterans Day Dinner) So.. that made for an "earlier treat day"..... Kept up with my Activity. I taught "Two" ZUMBA classes this week (One for Zumba Gold and one Regular class which I subbed for). And then I went to another random class mid-week at the Local college. Zumba is obviously my "Soul-mate" workout. I just wish there more POUND Fitness classes as well besides only bi-monthly since I tend to need "Group" activity to keep me motivated!
****It has turned quite "Chilly" here this past week, and the Fall/early winter-type weather is starting to creep in
..... I know my workouts are going to start to get more challenging as far as "Variation". I won't get out to walk as much through the neighborhood with it not being as warm nor be able to get my Dog for as many walks either.
****And it's now "Darker" sooner, which isn't always the best for my moods..
.... I find that Alot of Sunshine and warm weather helps me to feel much better
...... So these shorter days, might challenge me a bit in various areas.
****On a "Brighter" note.... Believe it or not, I wanted to feel "more cheery" so to do that, I put up my CHRISTMAS TREE already (on Friday)..lol... I NEVER do that "before" Thanksgiving!... this will be the "first" year I've done that ever. I already feel a little more "merry and bright"
Now ... just hoping to stay on track with my eating throughout the holiday season!
****Last but not least, Today is my REST DAY...Hubby will be out of town, so hoping to see my Son today once he gets off of work in the evening so we can spend some quality time together.
HOPE EVERYONE ELSE HAD A GOOD WEEK!![]()
@PoliteOcean
How has everyone been doing this past week? I've been okay. I have a cold though. BOoooo.
How many of you have been staying or keeping on track so far this month? Not very much :(
What things are you planning to do to stay on track with the upcoming Holidays? I am getting a new planner soon :)
Have you set or met any "new" goals for yourself recently? If so what are they? I want to do yoga, but haven't had much time :(
@Mellietronx
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling the best Melli... Sounds like you are on track in some areas more so than others. I think its great that you are going to get a "Planner"!.. I have one on my phone and it really keeps me on track throughout the week! Hopefully it will be something that will surely help you in your future goals! Thanks for checking in this week and for letting us know how you are doing!
It's been rough. Right now I don't feel like there is any staying on track, it's just about getting through the short term. Medical appointments are piling on again. After skipping working out this past week I was thinking about adding an extra on this weekend or maybe early in the week, but that's not going to happen now and I'm probably going to miss this upcoming week's as well, I'm just not going to have the energy for it.
I really don't want to lose any strength or endurance and for me that seems to happen very fast and it takes longer to gain it back. I keep debating different options, thinking of adding in something at my usual place of working out, but I'm not really sure what I can do that's not going to be overdoing it. Last week part of the reason for skipping was because in addition to feeling low, I did spend time with my nephew for his birthday at a fancy mall with things like train rides, teacup rides, etc. I did a fair bit of walking there plus I was picking him up. So maybe for these 2 weeks I just need to focus on the fact that I did get in some activity that required strength & movement and hope for the best until I can go back to the gym in a way in which I'm not overdoing things.
@AffyAvo
Sorry to hear that you are feeling "set-back" in your workout endevors at this time..... I know that can happen with you from time to time due to your situation.
Do you think it could also be because of the changes in the weather/season or it getting darker sooner as well? Do you think maybe these things could also be affecting your energy levels? Was just curious b/c I know it has for some including myself. I do hope that you are able to figure it out what things can help even if only "slowly". Have you talked to your trainer at all? Was just wondering if they had some ideas for you?
Its great that you spent time with your nephew. I know how much you love doing that and how important he is to you. Its great that you had the energy to spend on him during his special day.
Thanks so much for checking in this week and for letting us know how things are going with you.
@PoliteOcean The weather isn't helping, but there's more to it than that. I'm just not getting enough rest in to get back, maybe with the weather weren't a factor too (this has been the coldest 1st week of Nov since '84) it would have been enough. I saw a new specialist yesterday and that can be really tiring on it's own. I also another doctor appointment and had to go to the pharmacy to drop off prescriptions. I guess I could have let my husband do that, but my doctor and pharmacy are in the same shopping area so I think he would be annoyed if I didn't take out the 5 minutes, plus my doctor wanted me to talk to the pharmacist about something.
I will talk to my trainer, but a big part of it is just when I can manage to get all the testing done this week and where my symptoms are at once that's done. So there isn't really much we can plan ahead.
@PoliteOcean I decided to stick with it. Ended up being just me which is always nice. This was the 'laziest' workout I have had in a long time. Almost no sweating. More than half of it was on the mat and even that stuff which tends to be easier was kept to the more easy exercises and low reps.
Hopefully this will be a good balance of allowing my body to rest and recover without a decrease in fitness level.
Mixed week for me. I was good with food and exercise overall. I have been getting frequent upset stomachs after a lot of meals for the last few weeks. The last few days it was increasing, and today it was upset before I even ate. I got acid reducer pills yesterday but they haven't done much. I'm not sure that it's acid anyway. I might go to a walk-in clinic after work tomorrow. I was going to not eat today, but that didn't happen! I cooked a bunch all afternoon and ate some of it.
@SadMe70
Its great you stayed on track with eating and exercises!...However sorry to hear that you are having some stomach issues. I do hope that whatever it is will either soon pass for you, or that you can get it figured out and implement a plan to start making it feel better for you.
Stopping after works sounds like a good idea. Without having to make any appointments and having to wait even longer. Please keep us informed on how things are going and let us know that you are doing ok.Good luck on that.. and Thank you so much for checking in this week, for sharing , and for simply letting us know how you've been doing!
How has everyone been doing this past week? Not too great... school is not going very well and I'm feeling depressed
How many of you have been staying or keeping on track so far this month? I'm not sure what my goals were for this month, maybe to get regular sleep? or exercise regularly? Or do things to manage stress? I've been sleeping okay...having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep and getting enough sleep...but not extremely bad.. I haven't been exercising a lot because I hurt my foot about a month ago and it's still not fully healed, so I'm taking it easy. But I have done a little dance. And that was good. I guess I could do more. I have been doing self care stuff and I guess it's making it better than it would have been otherwise but I still feel awful and I feel frustrated because nothing seems to be working and I'm trying everything.
What things are you planning to do to stay on track with the upcoming Holidays? I don't know?
Have you set or met any "new" goals for yourself recently? If so what are they? Yeah I've actually set some new goals recently! I did it through the app "What's Up?" They are: 1) don't withdraw from everyone for more than 6 hours (aka don't spend more than 6 hours in a row alone), and 2) if you're procrastinating, try working on it for just 20 minutes, and 3) tell someone how I really feel at least once every other day. I've been working on them, and I guess I'm glad I know what I am working on (i.e. I'm glad I set clear goals). Still struggling with them though!!!
What things would YOU like to share with us this week?! WE want to hear from YOU!!
I am feeling stressed and hopeless and don't know what to do.
@lovingBanana5204 Thanx for sharing! :) Even the fact of not being sure about what goals you have and how stressed and hopeless you feel. There might be a correlationtion between the two. It seems like the school situation is dragging you into this state of mind... But i liked the little dance... :) How did it make you feel? If better, than why not set it your goal to do it every day and while in that state of mind, start sketching out some fresh new goals, determined to overcome, even whatever is keeping you hopeless? YOu can do it! :)
@HopefulSong17 Thanks for replying! :) Yeah, I think they might be related... I guess I'm a little lost at times and don't know what I want in life which makes me question why live (I am not actively suicidal don't worry). So I just need some new goals and things to work towards and look forward to. I love dancing! It made me feel energized and happy and present. My new goal will be to do it every other day (because I think every day is unrealistic)! I will try this! And I will work on/think of some other good goals, too. :) Thank you!!
This week I had disrupture, with two major events that occupied the whole week and weekend... so i was not able to keep up with my goals and schedule... but I got a boost otheriwise, cause I got a lot of outside excercize, long hours of sleep and a powerful mindset challenge and encouragement. So, it was good. Today is MOnday and i'm in metldown...which normal after such output, but will start tmrrow. Yeyy!
but otherwise, im doing good i think
