**I can't believe another week has passed by again already... Seems like the days keep going by faster and faster~ This past week was a bit of the usual. Despite the way last week ended with the storms, and power outages, we were able to salvage Halloween when the power came back on early Saturday afternoon....did a little shopping, went out and got one of our favorite Sweet treats, and then binged-watched some Halloween movies~
** The rest of the week I actually stayed on track with pretty much everything! Appointments, Meal planning, Workouts, water, and Sleep! Taught my fitness classes,.... and then Friday was a "rest day" of sorts for me. No classes, no errands/appointments. But still managed to out to the local track, and then took my dog for his walk as well.
**Lately I've been struggling a little bit with my outdoor classes. And trying to get everyone on the "Same Page". I am actually feeling pretty good at the fact that out of this whole Covid-mess, that I've been able to keep them on track "Outdoors" for the past 5 months! But...over the past month or so, its been a struggle trying to get everyone on the same page. So numbers have not been optimal like they once were with everyone having so much going on in their personal lives. Good news is, that I actually got a YES on the INDOOR dance space that I was looking at!.. YAY!... and funny thing is that its just around the corner from the last place that 'Cut" my classes off their schedule. The dilemna is that I would have to pay rent by the hour. Which isn't bad at only an Hour-Long class. BUT... I need for the Attendance to "Be there"!... I want this space so much. But, just trying to figure out how to manage it all (especially with the holidays approaching) and get everyone (who wanted my classes) to 'Get on Board' and get their butts there! lol...
... So I have some decisions to decide on and make this month.
**Not much going on this weekend... maybe a drive out, some minor shopping, and binge watch some movies again. IF.. I can manage to actually turn my TV away from the current USA Presidential Election! (Talk about a Nail-biter)
@PoliteOcean
I’m so glad to hear you got a positive answer on the indoor place you were looking and hoping for! That’s really amazing news! Good luck on working out the last (but not least!) details about it, almost there! <3
I've been really anxious and tired this week with all the election business. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to hopefully getting into a few more medical schools this month. I also hope to finish most of the assignments I have left for the semester. No matter how crazy things in the world become, I will always be thankful for the opportunity to receive an excellent education so that I can be a physician one day.
@99sunshine
I can TOTALLY understand and agree with you on it being a really "nail-biting" week with the whole presidential election!... What a crazy week. I don't think I watched anything else the entire week. It was kind of like watching a "Soap Opera"!
You sound like you have been really busy with things regarding your schooling, and I remember how crazy those times could be. Very challenging, yet rewarding when its all said and done with. I'm sure you will be able to keep up with everything and continue to do the best you can to move forward in the best way possible. You sound very determined. And when you have determination, theres no holding your dreams back! Keep up the great work you are doing and thanks for checking in this week!
What "New Goals" would you like to accomplish for yourself this month?
**NOVEMBER is considered the Month of "Thankfulness"~ Name "One" thing you are Most Thankful for Today!
I am thankful I have been accepted into the Bachelor of Psychology program at an Online University. Now I just need to get approved for a scholorship or funds to go.
**What have been your "Highlights or Struggles" this past week? What were you able to do to work through the struggles?
My Highlights have been getting accepted to classes and spending time with my Husband, Parrot, Horses and Dog.
@Breezy2013
Hey there! Congrats to you on your "acceptance"! I'm sure this is a very exciting and proud time for you. And a wonderful milestone in your life. Best of luck to you moving forward with everything. We are sure you will do a great job! Please keep us up to date on how things are going and continue to go for you. Thanks so much for checking in this week!
@PoliteOcean
Thanks!
@PoliteOcean This past week it was my birthday on Monday. Monday is also the day I have my therapy appointments, and my therapist was 25 minutes late, which put me in a bad mood.
I had a pretty good birthday. Thursday my new statistics book arrived and I'm pretty excited about it.
Friday my new calculator arrived. I've been taking my homeopathic remedy. They gave me a few very small white tablets and I dissolved them in water, and I'm supposed to take 1 teaspoon every day. It takes a while to develop a new habit so I forget once in a while. I'm hoping after 6-8 weeks of taking the remedy I will feel better but I certainly won't be cured. I've been cooking my own lunches, which makes me happy. I need to get a haircut and a blood test sometime in November. There's all kinds of errors on my medical records and it's really upsetting.
I have no way of fixing it anytime for the foreseeable future. For this upcoming week I dont' have any appointments, but hope I can be consistent with my statistics, that would make me very happy.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo!...
Ugh.. I totally understand and can relate to those "late" appointment arrivals. You would think that they would be more professional about it all. Especially when dealing with someone that they know needs help, or is already suffering mentally and emotionally! Like that late arrival of theirs is certainly not going to make things better for you! Glad to see that despite all of that, that you managed to enjoy yourself and have a great birthday! And wow.. sounds like you continued to get some great "extended gifts" with your new book and calcaulator!.. I Love getting items that I've ordered in the mail. It always gives me that little thing to look forward to. Its great that you have finally receieved and are able to take your remedy that was made for you. I know its challenging to remember or to get on a schedule with "new" things. I have to keep new meds right in front of me everyday to remember or else set an alarm so i don't forget. Hopefully your rememdy will continue to work for you and you will get your desired results in the timeframe that you are hoping for yourself. How great that you are able to cook and make your own lunches. I know how important that is for you to do! And hope that you are able to get all the things done in November that you need to do. Including getting your medical records fixed. That is so important to clear up any issues. Not sure if there is somebody you can call about that? Usually all you have to do is call the Medical records department and let them know the discrapancies... However, I know that can be easier said then done lol... Good luck on being consistent this week with your statistics! Thank you for checking and letting us know how things have been doing and for being so very patient with my response since You know I'm not normally on here on Sundays. Have a great week!
What are you looking forward to "MOST" in this New Month ahead?- The snow fall and Christmas shopping with my best friend.
**What "New Goals" would you like to accomplish for yourself this month? - Hmm this is a good question. I think maybe doing a spa day once aweek again.
**NOVEMBER is considered the Month of "Thankfulness"~ Name "One" thing you are Most Thankful for Today! - My cat Bear. I know I say her all the time but man I love that cat.
@Goldcherry2113
Hey there!..
What a wonderful time of the year with looking forward to the snow and Christmas shopping. My favorites as well!
Spa Days sound like such an awesome idea and a great time. I would love to do one of those myself. Its great that you are considering it. What a great way to make time for some self-care!
Having a pet is a surely a great thing to be Thankful and grateful for! I have a dog... so I know its not just a "pet" but that its really 'family"!... And they sure do make the most awesome addition!
Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how you've been doing over the past week. Let us know how the whole 'Spa Day' goal goes for you!
Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing this week? I got sick physically right on E/lection Day. Not sure why. I would have chalked it up to stress but I also ran a low grade fever.
**This is our FIRST Check-in for the month of NOVEMBER!... I can't believe we are so close to the end of the year already!?....What are you looking forward to "MOST" in this New Month ahead? I'm looking forward to the gratitude posts and Thanksgiving, although I'm not sure what that will look like this year. I was going to have to work it, but with the hip fracture and recuperating I have until mid-December before I go back to work.
**What "New Goals" would you like to accomplish for yourself this month? I want to accomplist 2 or 3 projects a day in addition to my habits that I'm implementing. To that end I have a small pocket calendar and I'm writing the projects in the squares.
**NOVEMBER is considered the Month of "Thankfulness"~ Name "One" thing you are Most Thankful for Today! The opportunity to study The Artists Way with friends!
**What have been your "Highlights or Struggles" this past week? What were you able to do to work through the struggles? I've been wasting a lot of time on Facebook to find a couple of memes to post on Discord.. NOT a good use of my time. It leaves me without things to talk about wtih my friends and then I feel sad and lonely even though I'm talking to them because I don't have anything to share after a certain point. I've also been spending more than I should on books and the like since I don't have much of an income right now.
My highlight was starting a book study with friends on The Artist's Way and leading the discussion on the boards.. it is really rewarding! Also I've been updating my blog again regularly.
@berryfields2409
Hey there.. Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well...and that it started on election day! That whole time has been stressful for so many.
I hope that your healing is still continuing to go well for you and that you are able to return to your work in December.
How great for you that you are implementing some goals with projects and habits for yourself! Great job! And keeping up with them in your calculator and having a way to keep yourself on track with it all somehow, is even better. Keep up the great work!
I can certainly understand and relate to spending excess time on Social Media outlets such as Facebook... The way I try to look at it though is that is my "down time" and "relaxation" time.. To just focus on other things to help take my mind off things as well....I know that spending finances during a time when we are low on them, or when the "work" isn't there, can be challenging and cause us to feel bad about it or feel "guilt" because of it. I can relate to that as well. I've been there. I try my best to be sure that all my important "expenses" are taken care of first before anything else. And if I have extra money leftover to spend on the things I "enjoy" and make me happy, then I do. So you just have to figure out what works best for your situation. And if you have that "extra" money there to do so or if its going to hinder you from being able to pay things that are more important? For me, I always spend extra on clothing. I've just always loved new clothes. Even when the extra money isn't necessarily there. So I just have to be sure to always write out a plan on how I'm going to cover all the important stuff even if I "dip" into money I shouldn't.
But.. It sounds like you must really Love your books and reading! I do hope that you are enjoying them! And what an awesome hightlight for you starting a book study and leading a discussion on it. And on updating your blog on a regular basis. Sounds like you are keeping yourself well occupied doing the things that you enjoy while you are on the mend! Keep up the great work and thanks so much for checking in this week to let us know how you've been doing!
These check-ins always make me realize how fast time is going! I really can’t believe it’s already November, meaning December and the end of the year is already so close!
The coming month, I should finally wrap some projects up, at least some parts, it’s really great! There was this method that didn’t work for month, my coworker ordered fresh new kits to start over and it’s finally working so that’s great as well! I’m still working with a very time/energy/motivation/nerves-consuming person but we’ve finally moved on to the heart of the project, there’s still a lot of work to do but it feels more doable and like we’re actually getting somewhere and that our experiments make sense, so that’s a half great as well! I’m really thankful that things are working well at work (for the moment at least, as it changes fast!) since considering we’re under lockdown, it would be depressing if work wasn’t even going well!
I’d like to get back to creative stuff though as I have more time on my hands, I’m not sure if that will ever happen, we’ll see! I’m hoping to continue working out daily but not going too hard on myself, and eating well. I seem to be back on tracks so I’m hoping to stay on tracks now!
