**The past week has been like a roller coaster.... Started off celebrating my Birthday with my family. Totally the Highlight for me this month. Had an absolute amazing time with them all.The day was perfect. I did not stay on the best of track this week with planning and tracking meals as I just wanted to enjoy the week. I did manage to keep up with some type of activity each day despite my leg still not being totally back on track yet.

**By mid week things took a little turn with the weather, and Hurricanes managed to bring in some unwanted issues to our area. I was not able to teach my classes this week, and A Tree was uprooted from the ground and fell down in my yard during the storm, and the Electric/Power has been out in my neighborhood for the past TWO days~ angry Just trying to deal with it and make the best of a pretty infuriating situation considering most areas around us already have their power back. We have a small generator and have been managing with that for right now.... And my parents are up the street with a larger one as well. So foods are ok, and we still are able to have heat, just no Hot water. And Cold showers are NOT the best, as for some odd reason, the weather has dipped low for the first time since "Spring"! Perfect timing BRRRRR......~ Its as if the Electric company is purposely withholding "Help" of any kind in my neighborhood considering we are still last to get help..... and neighborhoods & streets right next to us have had their power restored for several hours already. No clue when we will have "real" power again.

**Today is Halloween and while I thought and hoped it was going to go differently than this, we will still manage and continue to make the most of it. Will wait on someone to come cut and dispose of the Giant Tree thats sitting in the middle of our back yard, will try to Fit in a walk or a ZOOM Zumba class to get in some steps, and will attempt to get out and about to see whats going on around town. Then hopefully watch or "stream" some Good Halloween movies in the evening~

HAPPY HALLOWEEN~~devil

Wow it's good to hear that tree only fell in your hard and not on something! I hope things get sorted out quickly (although apparently, cold showers are great for boosting the immune system if that's any consolation!) Good luck with everything, all heart with you!

Oh wow, Ocean! What a week!! I am happy that you and your family are ok. Mother nature hasnt been kind in your area, hopefully "normalcy" comes back to you next week. Hope the tree is gone by now and that you can have your yard back. And no hot water is ugh :/

I am glad you had managed to stil have a Halloween, I think having something like that is a must in the midst of this madness of a pandemic. Hope you got your walk in and or a Zoom Zumba....havent tried that, tho, I think I want to....or find a class that is open. I surely miss dancing.

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I talked to my therapist about an operation I had when I was in junior high school. My parents sort of mishandled it. It might be something we need to address in further sessions. Tuesday, my house manager took me grocery shopping. Wednesday I got my remedy from my homeopath. Friday I had an appointment with my homeopath. It went well, but they said it's going to take 4-5 weeks for the remedy to take effect. I continued to review my mathematics, but I think for the month of December I will also review my Microsoft Excel skills. I could be easily sucked into studying pure mathematics, but I want to focus on practical business skills. I think my girlfriend Michelle is a fraud. She does something called "breadcrumbing", where she texts just short messages to give me the false impression we have a relationship. My pharmacy is a clown show. no

@PoliteOcean One thing I need to add is that November 2nd is my birthday. The house manager is going to buy a cake for me and the household. My sister sent me 2 presents but I haven't opened them up yet. I already know what they are anyways. cheeky

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo!..Its been a crazy past few days. Glad I'm getting a chance to respond. I hope that whatever the operation was that you had, that you are able to get it discussed if you feel its a concern and something that you need to get out and talk about. Its so great that you were able to get the chance to get out and get your groceries. Glad to hear that your house manager was able to step up and help you out with that. How great that you finally got your remedy despite that it will take a little while to take effect. But thats great for you! Its great that you are taking the time to work on and study certain things as you go. Perhaps something "new" each month? I can only imagine how smart you must really be with so much extra knowledge you are gaining! Sorry to hear that things are taking a turn with your girlfriend Michelle frown. I was rooting for you and hoping that things would go well there. But the "short messages" could infact be a sign? I've never heard of "breadcrumbing". Thats interesting. Never heard that term. Will have to look it up and look into it more. I guess I learned something new today! I hope that you are able to get things sorted out with that and able to come to the needed conclusion for yourself. And sorry to hear about the "Pharmacy" issues. I do hope that things got sorted out with that. Gee Whiz. That is just so crazy for you. Let us know how things continue to go for you! Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how your week has gone and continuing to keep us updated.

ALSO HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!.. I Hope that you had an AMAZING DAY!!... Sounds like we are both 'Scorpios"! Lol.. No wonder we connect so well.

This month of October has passed so quickly once again! October ends with not so great news as we’re back in quarantine for November over here… Plus it’s not even a real quarantine as people who can’t work from home can still go to work, and schools are still open, so I’m curious to see if it will be helpful or not. The best part of October was probably working, I’m not sure if I’m catching up with my delay but at least I’m moving ahead?

October hasn’t been really healthy though, I turned to chocolate rather than actual meals too many times and skipped too many meals, I already feel that some of the muscles I built have melted… so I’ll try and focus on getting proper nutrition during this month. And I’ll also force myself to keep working out regularly, it seems that it’s the one thing that helps keeping me on track so I really need to keep doing it even if some days I need a little/big push.

I haven’t done much for Halloween, I tried cooking a pumpkin pie, which was pretty good actually! And just watching horror thread videos.

I think the struggle of the past weeks has been lacking time… I really feel rushed, I’m trying to juggle between a bit too much I guess which doesn’t leave me enough time to really think about things and ends up being a bit counterproductive in the end… Having recognized it, I hope I can take more time for that!

Thanks for the check in, have a nice week!

Hey there Waves!.. Its been a crazy past few days here. So glad I'm able to finally respond!..

Wow... thats crazy that you had to go back to quarentine! But I'm not surprised I guess. ..as its seems its starting to happen again in many areas.

Its great for you that you realized the not so great habits that you had through October. I feel I can certainly agree with you on that from a personal perspective. I guess for me, it was my birthday month, so I let it get away from me a bit. And I too turned to lots of chocolate.blush....Its great that you are looking forward to making Novemeber a much healthier month for yourself (As I).. And that you are looking forward to working out more regularly! What do you think or feel it takes to make you the 'most' motivated to just get up and do it or give you that extra "push" you feel you need?!

Cool on the pumpkin pie (I love everything pumpkin)!..and on the Horror Movies. What did you manage to watch?!

Sorry to hear that you are still struggling with the time management issue. Is it still due to the person that you are working with or paired with? Has that changed yet for you? I hope that you are able to work towards getting it all sorted out the way you desire!

Thanks so much for checking in this week, and just keep us up to date on things and how you are doing!

@PoliteOcean

I guess it’s also okay to cut ourselves some slack some times, especially for special occasions like birthdays!

For the little push I need to work out, I’m not too sure honestly, I guess I should keep in mind that it makes me think better mentally, so even if physically I’m not really feeling like working out, I still should make an effort! Especially since feeling better mentally helps me feel better physically as well since it gives me more energy, win-win!

Thank you for your kind and supportive words as always, extremely appreciated <3

How do you feel this month has gone for you?.... How would you "Summarize" this month?.... What was "BEST" part of October for you? - I'm sad that it's over. This is my favorite time of year. To summarize it was a very busy month. The best part was decorating.

**What are some things that you have learned about yourself in October? What has been the "Healthiest" habit that you have adopted this month? How could you continue with this habit moving forward in the New month ahead? What steps will you take in doing so? - I learned to trust my gut feeling. The healthiest habit would pry dinking water in the morning. I like how I feel when I do it so it won't be a problem to keep going.

**JUST FOR FUN: What will you be doing today for "HALLOWEEN"?! How will you celebrate the day?! - Halloween I dressed up and had a few drinks and food with friends.

@Goldcherry2113

HEY There!

I can empythize with you.. as this is one of my favorite times of the year too. I LOVE October and sad to see it all go by so fast. I also have to agree with you, that yes it certainly was a busy month.

Trusting your gut feelings and also increasing water and staying on track with that are certainly great healthy habits! And its great that you are realizing how good the water is for you and that it makes you feel good. If we feel good in one area of our lives, it can certainly help with all the other areas as well.

How awesome that you were able to get dressed up and celebrate the Halloween holiday with friends. Sounds like alot of fun. And Food and Drinks always make for a good time!....What did you dress up as?!

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going with you. Sounds like you are doing very well overall.

Hi @PoliteOcean

Last check-in for October :D .... This month have been a lil bit on the snacky side lol, it is after all baking season ... I know I need to have a stronger willpower but i cant help it, it's Pumpkin season haha. Best thing tho is even tho, I have been "snacking more" and not embarrassed to say it, I am still putting some time in the gym, at least 3 times a week, I think that has been helping me with keeping my weight from a gain. As I have said in my last check in, my water and journaling game needs to be uped and be on a constant must do .... at least 64 ounces of water and daily journal of food intake. I have discussed this with my doc and he says that as long as I am staying active and is aware of what needs to be done, I should be back on track. We have discussed on doing a detox once again...yikes!!!

Halloween is definitely my favorite holiday....We had decorated our house and had dressed up and was part of the live prop on our yard. One kiddo was the butcher, another was a scary clown, and I was Billy the puppet from Jigsaw lol. We had scared some people, both kids and adults, they still recieved their treat tho even tho they didnt want to walk through our yard. The best comments I heard was "we always look forward to your yard every year" and "I didnt know which was real and which was a prop" haha. I think our neighbors needed a day of the old "normal"...it was so much fun to see the kiddos's faces enjoying themselves.

Sometime during these holiday months, Im wondering what yall will be doing to stay in track with our Healthy Living journey

@Keola

Hey there girl!..

I too can totally relate to the whole "Snacking" thing!... Yikes.. Its October after all! (personally for me, It was my birthday month so I know why I got off track a bit) and was prepared to be. But like you.. I love Everything Pumpkin too! lol....

Its great that you are continuing to keep up with your activites though! Because yes, that can certainly make a difference. And help to off-set things a bit! Thats interesting that your doctor discussed with you a "detox". I have actually started one myself. I want to get on track in November as much as I can leading up to Thanksgiving. And then of course through December afterwards until Christmas. What type of Detox would you do if you decided on one? Have you done a particular one before?

Thats awesome for you that you enjoyed your Halloween so much and that everything fell in place with trick-or-treaters! Sounds like you all had a lot of fun. And maintained some Normalcy. We didn't have anyone come to our home. We don't normally pass out candy, as I normally go to my moms house and help her pass it out. But by the time we get home, we would still have kids coming knocking long after it was over. lol.... But this year Not "One'!.... I see alot of people got really creative with it though this year with the whole social distancing thing.

Sounds like overall you are continuing to do a great job with everything despite a few "snacks" here and there. And thats ok. You are here in a new month ahead. Just keep that water up. up that journaling and Track those meals and bites! You've got this! Just keep thinking of how much less you will have to be concerned with if you stay completely on track up until Thanksgiving! NO HOLIDAY Gain here!!! Lol....

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things are continuing to go for you! Hope you can back to some ZUMBA soon!
