**This past week has been decent... I enjoyed the long weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful so it was easy to get out and about and enjoy each day for a bit. I did indulge a little, but was able to get back on track really quickly at the start of the week and kept up with all my tracking of activity, steps, water, sleep etc.. And sleep has actually been pretty great this week!
** With the weather being so great I was able to get into the pool (what might be one last time) before having to close it, unless we decide to "heat" it....Which I'm hoping eventually that will be an option. ... But.. Starting today (Sat) its looking like mostly another week of rain here and there.... I've had enough of the rain. It seems like we had so much of it this past summer, but surprisingly I only had to cancel maybe 2 of my outdoor classes due to weather out of 3 months. So thats actually not bad. And..now, we are in the middle of September, and I finally was able to get a good contact on a space that I'm looking at to prayerfully move indoors. *fingers crossed*
** I'm so glad its the weekend again... I know this was a short week, but boy do the weekends seem to go by SOOO fast each week. And I just appreciate being able to relax my body and mind and unwind. Intentions are to get up and go check out a Zumba class. I actually attended my first "indoor" Zumba class with an instructor friend of mine (Fri) for the first time since March!.... It was so nice to feel a little normalcy there. And I did the ENTIRE class in my mask!
...Not to bad.. i Made it lol...... So I intend to go to another one today. And then several odds and ends throughout the day~
ENJOY THE WEEKEND~
@PoliteOcean
Fingers crossed!
@PoliteOcean
Hello PoliteOcean,
Great news that you had the chance to enjoy the long weekend, even better that the sleep is getting better. Hope you can enjoy some more visits to the pool before the weather goes cold. It's been good that weather has not affected your outdoor clasess but it'll be better if the place you are checking is the right one and you have the right space for your indoor classes.
By now surely you had the Zumba class you were planning to attend. Hope it was fine and you are now recovered and recharged to start the next week. See you soon.

My weekend is just starting out, but I hope it goes well
I didn't participate in the event. I didn't know it was going on.
I'm in need of a long holiday weekend. This weekend is filled with completing assignments and homework, cleaning up my room, doing laundry and then doing some much needed self-care.
Highlight of my week- I made it through to the weekend. Struggle- I need to work on my time management
That I can do anything if I put my mind to it
@CheeryMango
Hi CheeryMango,
Hope your weekend went well and by now you have finished all assignments, homework and chores and be able to take some time off for yourself.
Don't worry too much about the time management, just start by doing a simple schedule and keep the good attitude. Best vibes for the coming week.
The week has been a bit off-tracks, but it was needed, both physically and mentally. Ill slowly get back to it either during the weekend or next week.
I didnt really participate in the event but still read the posts, the quiz was pretty informative and the discussions were interesting! I feel there could have been more info on food categories, on nutrients/vitamins, maybe also some easy-healthy-tasty recipe ideas?
This week has been a bit of a struggle as I basically had nothing to do at work, but still had to keep myself busy. It surely wasnt motivating/stimulating, so everything else felt numb and I didnt get myself to workout (but its good in a way as it felt needed to rest and avoid any muscular injury). Im hoping to study a bit this weekend, meet some family and thats about it, Im still feeling pretty lazy and in need of slow time (even if I end up feeling guilty about it, but working on it)
@LinearWaves
Hey LinearWaves,
Seems like it was sort of a transitional week for you. It's ok to make a pause, take a deep breath and recover. Sure, at this times of adjustment sometimes there's nothing to do at work but this won't last long for sure and soon you'll be as busy as you like to be. Don't worry about the lack of workout, you can make it double next week if you want
. Hope you've had a nice weekend enjoying yourself and your family.
@Traveller8
Thanks for your words! Indeed I'm not back to being quite busy at work, and extra sore from working out :p
Take care!
@LinearWaves
Sorry to hear things got off track a bit...but..since you said that it was a "good thing" mentally and physically, I guess its actually pretty great for you!
Thanks for your input on the Nutrition Event... We probably could've delved a little deeper into those things that you mentioned, but then it could also have gotten a little more complicated And... possibly "triggering" for some as well? Its kind of a fine line there at times unfortunately
...But yes, I agree on those points and it will be great input to add next time we hold an event like that. But glad to hear that you took the time to do both the quizzes and enjoy the discussions!
Despite that things didn't go the way you wanted the too at work, its good that you were still able to get the rest that you felt you needed and possibly avoiding other physical issues as well..... And I hope that the weekend brought all that you needed and that you were able to get things done and enjoy it as well. Even if it meant doing absolutely Nothing! We NEED that sometimes! And no reason to ever feel guilty for it.
Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how you've been doing and how things are going for you!
@PoliteOcean
I totally agree with you on the event, its such a fine line when making this kind of posts, so as to explain enough to give info but not too much (small daily posts were a great idea!) and end up not read, or true, it could be triggering for some people…
Thanks a lot for your words, it was exactly what I needed to hear! I feel like its getting hard to just do nothing, as people will judge you know? Like if I did nothing much during my weekend and my mother or someone at work asks me about my weekend, it feels like I cant say that I just didnt do anything productive, I guess thats what brings the guilt, but youre right, theres no reason to feel any guilt.
Thanks again <3
**Hey Everyone~How has your weekend gone for you?!
It's going by quickly. I had some eye doctor appointments, both specialists said my eyes were fine for being premature. I guess I'm glad but they don't feel fine. School is going well so far. I've got a lot of homework already, trying not to procrastinate. Trying not to let my classmates overwhelm me, being the only different major & senior in one class. I feel like I have to prove myself to them. They're much better at this kind of art than me. I want to learn from them but I'm scared they'll laugh at me. My voice is already judged by them
**How many of you enjoyed this past weeks Long Holiday Weekend?! What did you find yourself doing?! What are your weekend plans ahead?
The long holiday weekend was interesting. I spent some time alone while my parents went out because restrictions have been loosened here. So I took that time to sit with my cats and watch some movies, play some games.
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?
Highlights: getting through zoom classes, therapy, and watching tv/movies. Even though each class is about 2-3 hours long, it feels much longer. Struggles: same ones for me. My mother is pushing my boundaries, again, but it's expected. A friend is struggling and keeps talking about ED things in detail without any sort of warning. I've gotten advice from some lovely people on this site and irl to step away a bit for the sake of my own recovery... and to not feel so guilty because I was put in a hard position. I'm thankful for my friend from high school who I can have light, casual conversations with. I miss her.
My sleep is still not great. I just can't get comfortable but it's only been a month with the new mattress. I think if I get no sleep intentionally, I might be happier after than initial exhaustion fades vs. getting a little sleep and being groggy. Does that make sense? I also miss the holiday season. I looked for a set of old holiday movies that comfort me only to find they're missing, so I bought another set. Days like these, I just need to sit down, make art, watch comforting things from my childhood, drink some tea.
I'm so thankful for everyone who strives to help others or bring positivity without ignoring negatives. Hope everyone's doing well today!
@Lexloveslife
Hey there!
That great that your eye appointments went good and that there were no issues detected. Thats always a positive.
Its also great that school is going so well for you (despite feeling overwhelmed and judged by others around you). Hopefully thats not the case even though you are feeling that way. And I hope that the situation proves to be otherwise for you.
Sounds like you had a great time home alone with your cat , some good movies and games. Sounds like a great time to me actually. Sometimes we just need those "quiet alone times" to ourselves to unwind and relax.
Sounds like you had alot of really great highlights, despite the struggles. Thats tough that you are feeling your mom pushing your boundaries again. I hope that there is a way for you to address that with her and/or your therapist is helping you to find a way around that or a coping skill, or even a way to stop it altogether? Its great that you are receiving great advice here and that you are still able to have contact with friendships that keep you in a 'Good place"!
I hope that you find yourself in a better situation soon regarding your sleep. Good sleep can be so underestimated in the role it plays in our over-all wellbeing. So hopefully the negatives start to clear up for you soon where that is concerned. And it sounds like you are doing really great at knowing what you need and knowing what to do to make time for your needs and self care! Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing for your mental and emotional health!![]()
Thank you so much for checking in this week .... and for keeping us up to date on how you've been doing. I appreciate you sharing your week, your feelings, and just keeping things "real". You take care and enjoy your week ahead.~
@Polite Ocean Last weekend it was really hot here. Wednesday the sky was orange from the smoke from all the wildfires in California. I didn't have any medical appointments, but I have 4 appoinments coming up for this next week. I hired a new caretaker, Deysi. She took me grocery shopping on Wednesday, and then for a walk at the marina. Now that I have a caretaker, I can cook my lunches so that's going to help with the food situation. For this upcoming week, Monday I have an appointment with my psychologist, Tuesday with my social worker, Thursday with my primary care physician, and Friday with my homeopath. I've been studying the Industrial revolution and how the failure for certain societies to keep up with agricultural reforms hurt their development. I've also studied the development of modern banking. I wish I could do something for personal expression, whether it be painting, writiing, crafts, or something of that nature.
@Regmo
Hey there!... Oh my goodness. I totally saw so many videos of the Orange Skies out there in Cali! I couldn't believe what I was seeing because I didn't at first understand that it was from Fires! Until I started seeing more videos and comments. That is something else. Its so nice to have an "appointment free" week sometimes... But sounds like you will be making up for it this upcoming week ahead! I hope that you find all your appointments to be productive this week... Oh wow! A new caretaker How great for you. Hopefully for you this time all will go well and she will be all that you need for her to be for you. And live up to your expectations on how you want to be taken care of. Please keep us updated on that situation. And how nice for you that you can now cook and make your own lunches. Its great to hear that you are continuing to keep up with the things that are of interest to you. I hope that you are able to find something that you enjoy more on a personal level. Painting, writing and Crafts are all really great options! I know painting can be very relaxing and therapuetic. Crafts and/or writing might take up a little more thought and creativity and time, but I'm sure that whatever you decided that you will be great at it! Please keep us updated on that as well. So glad to hear from you this week and so good to know you are doing well and things are continuing to go well for you. Thanks for checking in and keeping us updated!
