**This past week was very busy and a little hectic. One with classes, some minor stressors, and various appointments. I had an un-expectant dental issue that arose last week, and one that has not yet improved (now a week later). Found myself having to deal with that. And have to go back for follow-up....Not a happy camper. Then had to deal with another issue regarding a family member as I went to their appointments as well to provide extra support for them. So between teaching Mon/Wed classes, and all the appointments on Tues/Thurs, things have been non stop this past week. While I did manage to stay on track with workouts/activity, I have Not been on track the best this week with meal-planning especially with the dental issue.

**Today/Friday I was finally able to slow down a bit....and slept in. So got a late start on the day. But still managed to squeeze in a walk at the local track in the rain, and was able to finally start shutting the pool down and putting away all the summer stuff for the season frown... I am looking toward to the Fall, and it is my 2nd Favorite season, But, I'm just not quite ready to leave (what seemed like a very "short") Summer behind~ Prayerfully October will go a little slower!

**I've been doing an Online Virtual bootcamp that I found online for only $9 USA dollars! Through a special on Social media. So I've been squeezing those in as well. They have trainers available like around the clock!.. Its like having my own personal trainer on ZOOM!~ I liked to be pushed and motivated as well.....Today/Sat, the weather will be nice, sunny and mild. Intentions are to get up, head to the track to get some activity in, and a few errands.

ENJOY THE WEEKEND~

Heya! The past week has been pretty challenging, Ive been feeling very anxious since I was followed and hit last weekend. Im still not 100% calmed down from it, plus my mother and her usual comments added to my anger, so that made me a bit unfocused and restless at work, although thankfully Ive had pleeeenty of work so at least I stayed extra busy!

This all got me off tracks sleep-wise and food-wise, so Im going to try and use the weekend to catch up. Im planning on cleaning up and sorting out my place, as its kinda looking like inside my head aka a complete mess! Im also hoping to go buy weights as Im started to feel limited during my workouts, and then enjoy a good session! And probably do some work during the weekend as I got results Friday but havent had time to process the raw data, so I know theyre not looking too good but Im still really curious and hoping to get something out of it!

On another note, the first scientific article in which Im an author got accepted, but I really feel not legitimate at all as I didnt write anything in it, and my results arent even in it since the lockdown stopped these experiments So yeah, first article, but kinda ashamed of it?

Okay Im off to cleaning my place (and my mind in the same occasion) now! Take care!

Hey Waves!

Sorry to hear your week was challenging and that you were feeling anxious. I can relate to those. And I'm sure going at it with the usual from your mom didn't help matters... I hope this week is going better and that you are finding yourself a bit more calmer.

Its certainly very easy to get off track when so many things seem to arise at once but hopefully the weekend found you catching up on everything you wanted to, and that you got your space cleaned and organized the way you desired.

How great that you decided to up things in your workout routines so that you aren't feeling as limited in them. Hopefully the change with weights is just what you need. I love weights! So much more challenging and without being too much and you can actually burn so much more during and "after".

And congrats to you on the article! How cool for you. I can understand what you are saying and how you are feeling in not feeling "legitimate" about it since you didn't write it though. I'm sure you found your emotions on that very conflicting.

Hope that you are finding this week to be better for you and that you are getting lots accomplished! Thanks so much for checking in and keeping us up to date. Its always so great to hear from you and see you share each week!

My week has been great. This past month has been amazing as well because I have done six interviews for medical school. I am grateful because interviewing in September is SUPER early in the application process, so I am really hopeful about getting in. Especially the interview I had this Thursday went amazingly well--both of my interviewers said I would be a great fit for the school, and a doctor even invited me to continue my undergraduate laboratory research at medical school!

In the last week of this month, I am just hoping to take things easy and study. Having had such a busy month, healthy habits were key for me to stay energized. Going to sleep and waking up at the same time each day, along with making sure to eat regularly, helped me so much.

My favorite thing about fall is Halloween. I am planning to dress up as Prison Mike from The Office this year. :)

@PoliteOcean. Here's how the past week went. Monday I went for a walk close to the water. The air quality was much better. Wednesday I went grocery shopping, and Friday I went to the bank. Unfortunately, I didn't go for a walk this past week. My caretaker needs their freedom and I try to work things out together with her. The good news is my wound is completely healed. It took 11 weeks for that thing to get cured. I've been cooking my own lunches almost every day, and since I know how to feed myself good food, that was probably key in helping my wound get cured. For this upcoming week, I have an appointment with my psychologist, go grocery shopping again, hopefully go for a walk, and then a blood test. I still have stage 3 kidney disease but my kidneys are getting better. This past week I studied the lead-up to World War I, the Russian revolution, and the development of the gold standard. I've been watching videos on child abuse and they help me a lot in recovering. My mother's estate is still a mess but slowly is getting resolved. She really mishandled this issue, and I have to repair the damage.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo!...So glad to hear that you were able to get out and about and actually do something enjoyable (outside of appointments). How nice and cool that you were able to get out for a walk close to the water. That is something I really favor. As I love being near the water myself and it always helps me clear my head a little and feel some peace and calm. Its great that you are working closely with your caregiver and that you both are trying to work things out together. Awesome news for you that your wound has completely healed!. How great for you. I know those can take so long to heal depending on where they are located. I had many a patient who suffered from those. And so great for you on being able to cook your own lunches and getting good healthy food again like you need. Good nutrition is so very important. Its good that your kidneys are getting better. And it seems like you have another busy week ahead for you. How cool that you were able to continue your studies and that you are getting so much in! Thats good that you are finding the abuse videos beneficial to you. I'm sure for some that it could be very difficult to do. So great job to you on finding a way to cope and work through it that works for you. Hopefully things with your mothers estate come together and get resolved. I know sometimes things like that can take a long time to deal with and get sorted out. Hopefully there are plenty of trusted people who are there to help you deal with anything that needs done on your part. Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how things are going for you. Glad to hear that things have been going more smoothly for you and your not in such a bad place as your were before. And that things are continuing to come together little by little day by day. Take care and thanks for letting us know how you are doing.

Haha... Yes I know ... Fall has some really pretty great things to point out! (Changing leaves, milder weather, Halloween, Scary Movies, Bonfire if you do that sort of thing, Sweaters and Sweatshirts....) Yes, hard to choose just one.

Despite your struggle in trying to eat right (Yes I surely understand how difficult that can be at times)...Its great that you were able to get away with the Boyfriend. I personally love a great quick getaway. Time to recharge, refresh and just have a good time. .... I've made more time to rest and to recover and I've learned to say no more. I'm learning to be more concious of my food choices and I've been eating more home cooked food than eating or eating fast food and junk food. Trying to make a more concious effort to quit smoking and to go back to the gym. What I'm happy about though is that I'm taking the time to relax and to spend time on myself and I'm realizing how much self-care is important to my well-being

Fall is the season of Thanksgiving, and this holiday really defines the fall season for me. As an immigrant I never knew understood the meaning of the holiday until recently and maybe, that's why it encompasses the fall season for me so much. It is the season in which I realize the year is ending and I realize how important my friends and family and it makes me grateful that I have a year has passed and another year is coming to have these two things in my life.

Hi @PoliteOcean

The week went a bit on the fast side. I took the kiddos on a mini vacation to California and totally did not follow my “diet” plan. Needless to say, I have gained 4.4lbs. I am hoping it’s water weight because I know I did not overindulge, though, I did not do much exercise, we did go to the beach and walked around Old Town. I just did not drink as much water as I had been. On to next week. I am back on track starting tonight (My first day back to work).

The past month has been great. I have put in a good amount of workout, I watched what I had eaten, journaled my meals, and drank at least 64-70 ounces of water a day….ok, last week of September I slipped but I am back on track. I hope to lose the weight I have gained and back to journaling.

Healthy habits are definitely water intake and mindful eating. I have gotten used to staying mindful on what I eat and to journal it.

My most favorite thing about the FALL season is definitely the cooler weather. The smell of fresh cut grass and the pumpkin flavors lol. I always relate Fall season as the start of the new school year, i can still remember walking to the bus stop, hearing the mowers, smelling the cut grass, and the moistness in the air from the sprinklers haha, good memories for me. And not to mention, Halloween is just around the corner :D

Struggles, I have shared above :p

It will be a better week for sure :D

@Keola

Hey girl!...

Don't be too hard on yourself. We ALL need to take time for ourselves, our family and just let loose and have fun sometimes. We can't always be on plan 100%. But.. the important thing is that you allowed that time for the fun, made some great memories I'm sure, everyone had a blast. And now, you know that it was just a moment in time and acknowledge it and are ready to get back to focusing on your goals and plans! And that is great! Its ok to have an indulgence and enjoy. As long as we don't remain there and take the time to keep and stay motivated in moving forward with a goal in mind to do better for ourselves. And you've owned up to it and sounds like your head is totally in the game and your ready to get back on track. And I have no doubts that you will have any troubles doing so! You seem like you are highly motivated by how well you are doing. And when our mind is right, then the rest will follow!

Great job to you on the work you are doing! And how well you are staying focused!... And yes... I love EVERYTHING Pumpkin as well! lol... Enjoy!..

Thank you so much for continuing to check in and letting us know how you are doing and how well things have been going for you!

Thank you!!! Always appreciate all the support and ecourgement <3

Yes my head is back in the game, back to journaling, water intake, and yesss gym time. I even created a list of workouts specifically for parts....arms, legs, core, etc listing which equipment to use and what exercise. That way when I workout, wont have to think too much about what exercise, I have my list :D

Here's to a great week :D

@KatLis123

Hey there!...

I'm so sorry to hear that things have been so stressful for you lately. Its challenging at times to keep a good balance with daily things in our lives, being a wife, mom, work, parenting, chores etc...etc... But, it something that for the most part many of us know that we have to do. The thing is finding the balance in it all, and taking things step by step as you can. If you are the type that gets overwhelmed or stressed easily, perhaps you can Do little things at a time little by little, and eventually it will all fall into place over time as you go along (such as chores). Maybe make small lists and do a little at time? Things like that.

And aww... How awesome for your baby! I remember those days. Such a enjoyable, happy, memorable time for you. Enjoy your baby and continue to focus on those little things that make you and keep you happy!

I hope that things start to mellow out for you as we've entered a new month. Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing..... and remember we are here to support you in any way that we can and are able.
