🌤️This past week was well... At the end of last week, I returned from a summer vacation. Going into last weekend, I was able to pull back in the reigns and get back on track with my personal goals. I was able to get in Zumba classes both Sat/Sun, and got back to my meal-planning/tracking. The weekend was also spent getting out & about, catching up on errands, some shopping at the Mall (which I never do & try to avoid), but I was looking for something specific. And I also managed to get in some more Pool-time before the week started off (& as these summer days continue to dwindle down)~
🌊 As the week started off, I continued to get back on track with my usual routines, & also was busy with several appointments that I had squeezed into the same week somehow (But, so glad to have over & done with)!... But I got back on track with my (Work, Fitness classes, Sleep was alot better, & Hydration all continued to be on point)... As well, got back on track with early morning outdoor time & walks with the Furbaby before starting off each day...~ As we get ready to wrap up the last week ahead of this month, I look forward to continuing in & reaching my personal Monthly goals, as well, looking forwards to the Long Holiday weekend here Next weekend. The weather has continued to be hot & humid here, however, it looks like starting this weekend & continuing into next week, we are supposed to get a little break from that (with a minor cool down & less humidity). Which will feel pretty good. That makes for great outdoor time, walks, nice time out on the patio. But.... I have no heater for my pool, so, sadly, that also means no more pool time with that colder water~..... There has been a HUGE break here with all the outdoor events & festivals (I supposed due to the heat & humidity)... However it looks as those will start to get ready to gear-up again in the coming week & moving into the Next Month ahead.... So looking forwards to those as well.
🏝️ This weekend ahead, there are no concrete intentions (pending the weather).... However, Fitness classes are of course on the agenda for both Sat./Sun. to start-off each day... & a few minor errands. I am actually looking forwards to not having "too much" to do, & just enjoying a good evening in at the end of the day. And movie night!~
ENJOY THE WEEKEND~
@PoliteOcean
It's been a hectic month. From July 10th to July 23rd, I was in Utah visiting family. Then, from July 29th to August 18th, I was at my cottage in Upper Michigan. I am exhausted and have been sleeping on and off.
For the question about television shows: I would give anything for there to be one more episode or, at least, one more season of The Vampire Diaries.
@ScorpiaD
Yes traveling can definitely be exhausting. Especially when there are getaways so close together….Sometimes we need a vacation from our vacations! (Just to recuperate if nothing else)... So it’s understandable that you have been catching up on more sleep when needed.
I’ve never watched the Vampire Diaries, however, I’m sure there’s not anyone who hasn’t heard of it, as I know it seemed to be rather popular.. I actually thought it was still on! Lol..
Thanks for checking in to share this week, and hopefully you find you get the rest you needed to be back to yourself from all the recent travels!.
@PoliteOcean I really like that you are posting the new updates on Friday nights. I'm really loving reading philosophy. I tried reading philosophy before and I didn't like it. Either it wasn't God's timing or I wasn't reading the right books. Sunday there was a motorcycle gang making a lot of noise on the main street next to my house. After 90 minutes I finally called 911 and they said other people have complained and that they were trying to get an police over there. I told them it shouldn't be taking 90 minutes. Monday I had a 30 minute in-person person therapy appointment with Jim. First time I met him in person. It went well. I read poems from my PTSD poetry book and I talked about whatever emotions it brought up. Leslie's granddaughters leave their toys on the floor for hours on end and Leslie and Amanda don't make them clean it up. I would have a lot of emotional distress if I ever tripped and fell down. I went for 3 walks but only to the library once but I can read at the house now so I can skip going to the library sometimes. Thursday I went to my PCP and my blood pressure is 123/74. Someone hacked my EBT card online but I picked up a new card on Friday. The problem is it really messed up my philosophy reading schedule because I had to use Leo's money to buy groceries which I wasn't planning on doing. He doesn't care, but I do. For this upcoming week I have a massage scheduled for Monday and a chiropractor adjustment on Wednesday. I'm getting increasingly sick of running to the kitchen 4-5 times a day to get my instant coffee because there is so much disruption in the kitchen. Also I never know what kind of commotion there is going to be in the living room. CJ is getting increasingly agitated about how Leslie runs things here. I understand where he is coming from but there is nothing he can do about it. It's a difficult adjustment. Living with Leslie has been a huge cost burden over and above the rent and food money I give her.
@Regmo
Hey Regmo.. yes it’s easier to post the check-in late Fridays. So you can definitely expect more of it to come… That’s good that you are now enjoying your reading of philosophy... As far as the noise from the motorcycles, I know that can definitely be annoying. (As I’ve personally had that happening on my road as well from insensitive neighbors). I suppose if the police don’t see or get a report of a true crime or threat, they will inevitably take however long they need to show up unfortunately.. That’s good you finally got to meet your therapist in person. Sometimes the direct contact can make for a much better appt & connection. And it’s good it went well overall... That is very unprofessional for caregivers to have their personal family members around (let alone Children). Not to mention it’s not a safe environment for them or those in the household for obvious reasons. Something should be done about that or a report made by someone who can get things done… That’s good that you were able to get out for your walks & to the library, and that situations are better for you to be able to read in the house more. I’ve also read that the whole “hacking of the EBT cards” are definitely on the rise! So It’s good you were able to get a replacement quickly. It’s also good that you were able to recognize CJs feelings about the household & could empathize, while also realizing that not much can be done or changed for now. And that it’s definitely an adjustment that needs to be made while there. Hopefully those that are all feeling the same way can one day find a better way or another way out & into something better. It sounds like you have another busy week ahead with appts. It’s good to stay on top of things. Thanks for checking in to share your week and continue to keep us posted on how things are going.
I feel good that I am doing my gratitude journaling daily, meditating, eating healthy food, exercising, drinking water, socializing and supporting others.

This week had it's ups and downs. Started of pretty bad, to bad to no idea what's going on. Right up until recently I used to deal my issues with alcohol, at first I thought that it was the only way out, then after it was the easy way out. But now I'm facing it head on. It hasn't solved anything but I'm feeling alot better in handling my issues. I have more control of my feelings. I know the ups and downs are common. I know what to expect and your to handle. Overall I'm happy with the way things are going for me. Happiness in any size is always a good thing
