🌤️ This past week seemingly went by pretty quickly... However it was well for the most part, and thankfully a little less stressing than last week.... Last Saturday we started off the weekend by celebrating & having a small double-birthday party for two family members... Which was nice & went really well. It was nice to come together & a good time was had~.... Sunday I was able to get in my early Zumba class to start the day, & ran a few errands afterwards to prepare for the week~

🌊 This past week started off well enough, but we got a change in weather & with that came several rainy days throughout the week... However, the humidity has dropped quite a bit, so its currently been feeling pretty lovely & comfortable!.. Making for some great outdoor time & walks with the Furbaby (in between the rainy days).... I also got offered another "Fitness Instructor" Position at the gym I currently attend, however, the Day offered wasn't right for me at this time, and there was a conflict... But the possibilities there still remain going forward when the timing is right..... I also got all of my usual stuff done & kept up with most of my personal goals (work, workout classes, hydration & sleep)!.. However It wasn't a great week this week for meal-planning & tracking. I just needed a break with that, & went on how my body felt.... And managed to squeeze in a needed Appointment... I'm looking to tweak a few things Next weekend once I'm back & on track from my Vacation next week.~

🏝️ This weekend ahead, we are leaving on Vacation~ But early in the morning before heading out on Saturday I will either attend my morning Zumba class, or Put something together at home to start the day off... And I'm just looking forward to some relaxation, quiet time, & enjoying the remainder of this last Full-Summer month as much as possible as it continues on~...

ENJOY THE WEEKEND & WEEK AHEAD~

@PoliteOcean I'm happier now than I have been in a long time. That doesn't mean my life is great, it's just not as terrible as it used to be. The reason I'm happy is because I can read multiple times per day in my bedroom which is really great 😊 👍. Going back a week ago I took a shower on Saturday. It was an ordeal, as always. The neighbors across the street were blasting their music loud for 5 hours.  John has to have the window open 24/7 because he is obese. Leslie brought in a new caretaker named Edna. She seems to be okay but she's got a really loud voice. Sunday I spent 45 minutes trying to add data to my Smart phone. I finally got it done. It ruined my whole day. John was in the hospital for 4 days. He's back home now. Monday I got a massage. I've had multiple massage therapists remark that I have a very strange muscular system. Tuesday I did laundry. I went to the library three times and went to the library three times. I'm reading my commentary on the book of Jeremiah. I'm reading two philosophy books. I decided to buy a Vitamin A supplement in a dropper bottle because I never get any Vitamin A in my diet. For this upcoming week I have an appointment with my alternative medicine practitioner on Monday. Gianna is having a procedure done so she will be off on Wednesday and Thursday. I don't have any appointments scheduled so that's cool. My fungus is almost completely gone. What an ordeal. It must have been really deeply rooted in my skin. Leslie's whole family is toxic. I don't ask her questions because I know I'm not going to get a real answer.

@Regmo

That’s good for you that you feel you are happier now in comparison to previously. And It’s good that you are able to do the things you enjoy more, was able to get in your shower, add data to your phone, get your laundry done, get to the library, add in a new vitamin A supplement, & get in a massage.. As well as having a new caretaker in the house to hopefully help with things... Sounds like it was a productive week for you overall. And sounds like you have a more quieter week ahead. Good job at trying to focus more on the positives. Thanks for sharing your week. And continue to keep us updated on how things are going.

I am unable to sleep right now.  My health has not been the best.  I was in the ER this week for shortness of breath, and I need to see another specialist 😞.  I need to take the weekend to rest, but I could not sleep this morning.  Oddly I feel well rested with a few hours of sleep.  I am still going to the gym and exercising, but am making a point to use the massage chairs, and try to listen to my body.  I have been in a good habit of going to the gym consistently, but with going to the ER I interupted my schedule.  I have heard that you should not miss more than one day of your habit, but I took two days to recover.  I am just going to work on taking it easy.  I have additional family responsibilities and competing priorities right now.  😱  I am self-diagnosing, but I am looking into the possiblity that I have MS.

Hey there~ Sounds like you’ve definitely had a challenging time lately… being unable to sleep, shortness of breath, and health concerns can surely be taxing physically mentally and emotionally.

I think it’s wonderful that you’ve been able to go to the gym despite these matters. While Placing more focus on massages & listening to your body (which is so very important)!.. And taking time to allow your body to recuperate & recover is the best thing to do. So keep up the great work in doing what you can, but also taking it easy when needed.

And hopefully you continue to seek the medical attention you feel you need as well when you are able. That’s also very important.

Thanks for sharing with us this week. And please continue to keep us updated on how things are going.

@PoliteOcean

Hi, Ocean,

Last week you asked me if the community where I live has a gym.  It does, and I apologize for not responding sooner.  I don't think people pay attention to me and so when people ask questions, I sometimes don't respond.  That's my fault.

How are you today?... And how did the First week of August go for you?  I'm very depressed today.  I am having a hard time finding a job.  I also have an injured knee that feels swollen and I don't know how it got injured.

🌊 This is our 2nd Check-in for the Month of August~.... August is "NATIONAL WELLNESS MONTH"!... This recognition encourages individuals to make Self-care a Priority, Build Healthy Routines, & Support their MentalPhysical & Emotional Wellbeing!.... Whether you're focusing on HydrationMovementMindfulnessSimply slowing down, Or Something else, this Month is a "Reminder" to "Put yourself First"!... In WHAT Ways Can you Or Will you focus on Selfcare, Put yourself First, & Make yourself a Priority this Month?!   I'm trying to not move my  knee because it is injured from something unknown.  I've also got  school starting on the 20th, so I've been looking out for the professors to post the syllabus.  Aside from that I've been resting.

🏝️  In Relation to August's National Wellness Month (& placing a Focus on yourself, as well as prioritizing yourself), WHAT is ONE wellness goal or Step that you can take or "COMMIT" to doing (Today, for a day, for a week, or the rest of this Month)?! What could you challenge yourself to?!  Trying to work out without moving my left knee.

🌤️ JUST FOR FUN: Continuing in the  Spirit of Summertime, Name ONE Country that you'd not only like to "Vacation" in for the SummerBut, also MOVE to as well if you could?!  Australia or New Zealand

🌊 What were your "Highlights or Struggles" of the week?... How were you able to work through your Challenges in a Healthy Way?!  looking for a job and trying to rest my knee.  I'm a broken record this week.

Hey there Tree~ No worries,.. I’m glad you decided to respond from last week about the gym… We are a little family here in Healthy Living, and when I’m reading through the Check-ins, (although my memory may not always cooperate these days!), I do try my best to remember & pay attention to all the posts, and their details included!... I remember you telling me about how great your newest apt was after you first moved in & mentioning the amenities. So I think it’s awesome that you have a gym that you can use when needed and when you are able!…

Sorry to hear that you were battling feelings of depression. That can be a tough one for sure. As far as the job, I know that something will pan out for you. Things always fall in line at the right time… As far as your knee, if you know you didn’t injure it, then that’s a good start. Although I’m sure not knowing is the challenging part as well... Sometimes it can be the simplest of things we don’t even think about, such as the way we sleep, (which happens to me)…, or even arthritic issues as we age (which also happens to me). Which can both tend to be very painful on their own (without an actual injury itself)!.. Keeping an eye on it, and practicing basic first aid knowledge might help. Such as Resting, icing, elevating, & compression = (RICE). Especially when it comes to unknown sprains/strains/pains… And of course if you have over the counter items to help, that might be an option too. Of course seeking actual medical attention & advice from your healthcare provider if it’s not improving for you is the best route in the end.

That’s great that you are still trying to move your body while protecting your leg..  but of course resting it as much as able is best. However there are also plenty of chair exercises that you could incorporate. And There is a great selection of videos that you could follow from YouTube when you feel ready to do so!

We definitely continue to wish you well on your job search. As well as best wishes as you navigate the knee pain. Neither are the most fun situations. So We certainly understand that. Please continue to keep us posted on how things continue to come along there, & how you’re doing. And thank you for checking in to share with us this week.
