🍍 This past week was well & went by quick... Last weekend I finished up the month with weekend workouts, a Summer festival, relaxing in my pool, family & outdoor time, & wrapping up my Personal monthly goals for June. As well as prepping for my Vacation this week.~
🌴 As this week started off, I spent the first half getting in a few workouts, focusing on my meals, hydration, & sleep, which all went good... By Mid-week, I left for a Road-trip up North back to my Hometown... So here I am currently, relaxing after a long road-trip, sightseeing, & spending these past couple of days so far enjoying my hometown after 15 YEARS of being away from it!... The Nostalgia of it all has been really nice... And it's been great to see all of my old childhood stomping grounds, my old neighborhood, & even a few newer things... But being home also put perspective on any doubts I might have had about moving away all those years ago.~ Things don't always stay the same, but its nice to know that some things can & do remain, (& that you can always come home to visit)~
🌊 This weekend ahead, while I already got to see some Fireworks on Friday evening, I may get to see some again on Saturday evening, (simply due to the terrific view of the place I'm staying at)!.. But I'll also continue to checkout some places I haven't got to see yet, & hopefully catch up with a few family members & an old friend or two before leaving to go back home Next week~.. But once back home I'm ready to continue to get back to the grind in my Goals for July.~
HAPPY WEEKEND & HAPPY 4TH💥 ~

@PoliteOcean🌸 Hello !
☀️ My week was steady — I kept up with my gym routine, which always feels like my quiet space, and enjoyed some relaxing time at home.
💥 For the next 6 months, I want to stay consistent with my health habits and prepare for my upcoming studies.
🌊 In my country we celebrate Independence Day on a different date, but I still want to wish all of you a Happy Independence Day 🎆. May your celebrations be joyful and full of connection.
☀️ My dream summer destination would be somewhere by the sea, where I can feel calm and inspired.
💥 Highlight of the week: balancing study prep with personal wellness. Struggle: managing energy, but I worked through it by setting small goals.
🌸 I’m grateful for this community and happy to share my journey here.
@brightOrchid3417
Hello there~
It’s great that you had a steady week, and was able to keep up with gym routines! I’m a stickler for that one! Lol … And I totally get how it feels like your own quiet time where you can just focus on “You”! … And great job as well on taking time to relax at home after. Definitely gotta make time for that.
Sounds like you have some great goals that you want to focus on & remain consistent in as we continue to move throughout the year. So Keep up the great work in maintaining those healthy habits! 👍🏼
Thank you for the Independence Day well wishes! 💕 (& mine was definitely full of connection & joyful). 🙂
By the sea 🌊… AHHHHH YESSS! Totally agree with that! Everything about it just screams “Peace, calm, & tranquility”.~
Despite your struggles of the week, awesome job to you in pushing through & working through them. And in balancing things, with both your study prep & personal wellness! 👊🏼
We too are very grateful for you! And in also having you here with us not only at Cups, but here in the Healthy Living community sharing your experiences, journey, & wellness goals with us! Continue to keep up all the amazing work you are putting in for yourself! And please continue to keep us updated on how you’re doing in your goals!
@PoliteOcean
Happy independence day 💙🤗
My ideal summer vacation is an active holiday, plenty to explore and do and stay away from the sun 😂
My week was good.
My nephew just completed his first week of summer holidays , so we were busy, crafting, making slime, throwing water balloons , surprisingly mostly st me 😂😂 and tonight he wants to be brought on a best friend dibber date 😂💙

@Amanda84
Thats great for you that you had a good week. And I suppose I can see why when you’re having such a fun time with your nephew who’s out for the summer! How sweet, & sounds like you’re making some amazing memories together. Enjoy it! 💕🙂
Ps.. Watch out for the “slime” 😳

@PoliteOcean
@Amanda84 💝🥰😁
@Amanda84
Maybe I'm showing my age here, but when I think of slime this is what I think of.....

@CyclingThroughLife
That's it exactly 😂😂😂😂💚
@PoliteOcean I get to go to France this summer! Been wanting to go for 40 years and it has definitely lifted my spirits that I finally get to go
@PoliteOcean
i not really do the 4th of July but will pray for all the men and women who have lost their lives so we can be free as freedom come at a cost many do not think about that also will pray for the ones who lost loved ones over the years as they matter too many have lost loved ones who served in military
my ex hubby was in navy when we was dating after we had our kids he was also in national guards so i kinda know what it like to worry about some one who in military too
What would be your MOST Favorite or Ultimate Summer Destination?!~
💥What were your "Highlights or Struggles" of the week?... How were you able to work through your Challenges in a Healthy Way?!
my big one is dealing with the very hot weather that been happening here with all my health issues that can be very hard
i end up using the fans i have one at foot of my bed and one on floor near bed that was mostly for my cat she be hot too
if i was in better health i love to go into the woods and just camp after hiking back to a place away from people think best place would be in UP Michigan would camp by a river so could fish too nothing like camping under the star with a camp firer going so can cook fish over it
@stormieandpaws
Yes I have many male loved ones & members of my immediate family who have done & served in the military, between both the Army & Navy as well as the National guards. I think it’s wonderful though that this country is celebrating its 250th year. So it’s definitely a milestone for all here to celebrate. 🎊💥
Yes, the Heat can surely be an issue for those that may suffer more from it due to health matters… I think we are all just in a Heatwave right now all over. As I live in the South, but am currently in the North on vacation. And it’s been incredibly hot here as well (& also getting the same temperatures as I would be if I was still South)… But I see a slight cooldown coming though by the end of next week so maybe it could be helpful to everyone who needs it.
I remember you mentioning in one of your previous posts about how you enjoyed camping under the stars... I bet doing it in Michigan would also be much better for it “weather-wise” & not feel as hot?!
Thank you for checking in to share this week. And hopefully you get some feelings of relief soon with your weather. Please continue to keep us updated on how things are going.
@PoliteOcean
today been a little lower temps right now 69F so that more normal for us here it going to be little better start this week as far as weather but yes it go back up again too it just here in the place i live this way above normal temps and August is normally our hottest month so that right now kinda scary as if get hotter then now it going to be awful many in northern Michigan not have AC in their homes and apartments as most years not really need it but this year been so hot so far i not have AC and even if did could not afford to run it much
but part of the issue the humidity been very high too that above normal too
☀️ Hey all Welcome to the Weekend & Welcome to July~ How was your week? My week was well overall.....Had a few blips at work that I managed to manage to the point where I was able to take Friday off and have a 3 day weekend......
💥This is our "FIRST" Check-in for the Month of "JULY"~... And just like that, we start the 7th Chapter of 2026?... The time definitely passes... So
as we begin this 2nd half of the year, In WHAT areas might you want to
make or see change or progress in over the next 6 months?... I want to work on managing my financial lifestyle and getting to a point where I know I can enjoy life based on what the retirement calculator is telling me I 'should' bring home....I can officially retire in 205 days, not that I'm counting(January 2027) and had every intention to do so......but.....Last year I was placed in a more "administrative" position which significantly eased the daily stress and anxiety of my profession, and caused me to rethink my retirement and push it out a few years......October 1, 2030 is the date I chose and created a new financial plan based on that......with that said, here lately, even in the administrative position, I'm feeling like I've had enough....(that is a discussion for a different thread at a different time).....but I would like to know that I can maintain a lifestyle of "enjoying doing things" vs just being able to 'live' off what my retirement would be If I decided not to wait until 2030.....Or What would you like to simply remain Consistent with? I would like to remain consistent with my fitness and wellness practices.....not that they are all that consistent but close enough lol......
🌊 This weekend ahead many of us will celebrate "INDEPENDENCE DAY", (otherwise known as the "4th of JULY") !~... How many of you have holiday plans or intentions for this day & what will you be doing?!...I did a 30 mile bike ride yesterday, played some games with my girlfriend on porch and then went to dinner at a farm to table place about an hour away that was doing a special independence day menu.....
☀️JUST FOR FUN: What would be your MOST Favorite or Ultimate Summer Destination?!~the beach of course.....
🌊 What is something else that "YOU" want to Talk about, Add, Or Share with us this week?!... We want to hear from YOU~ Thanks as always for engaging my mind for reflection on myself each week......I hope everyone has a wonderful week.....
@CyclingThroughLife
Hey there Cycling 🚴 ~
Thats good that your week was well for you overall. And what better way to spend it than with a Long 3-day break! Definitely Cool for you~
Sounds like you have a lot to think on in terms of your future goals & what you desire to accomplish & manage for yourself ahead…. That’s Definitely a lot to chew on there and the dilemma is understandable… And Definitely a lot of pros & cons to Mull over I’m sure in deciding on what will be best overall for you to continue in living the lifestyle that you’ve not only built, but also desire. Please continue to keep us posted on your decisions as things progress forward.
Outside of that longer term goal for yourself, I’m sure it’s much simpler to tackle smaller goals in the here & now in terms of “remaining consistent” with your Fitness routines & wellness practices. And again, it’s great for you that you’ve been able to map out a plan & schedule for yourself to keep going & pushing in your goals there. As we know it’s always about the progress we put in & make, & never about perfection… And if you feel that you are “close enough”, then you totally got it together for yourself! So keep going & keep up the great work! 👊🏼
Wow, sounds like you had a wonderful July 4th! Congrats to you on that 30mile Butt-ride, (I mean BIKE-ride 🤪)! Lol … (because mine would’ve been numb)! Lolol … That’s awesome for you. Way to get it in & staying focused even on a holiday… 🚴… Also how fun playing games with the girlfriend and dinner out after. Sounds like an active & amazing day to me!
Yesss… the BEACH 🏖️.. I’m with you. Any place tropical or near the water~
Sounds like you had a pretty great week Cycling. And we’re always glad to have you here sharing it with us! It’s been great to hear your updates. So please continue to let us know how things are going & how you’re continuing to do.
@PoliteOcean This is my first time posting on the Healthy Living Forum. I have a bachelor's degree and used to work as a database administrator but I was injured in a truck driving accident. I've had to go to the hospital multiple times but not for a few years. I can walk, but I'm in a lot of pain all the time. I suffer from seizures, PTSD and panic attacks. I'm on a good medication routine so those issues don't bother me. I like to read a lot but I suffer from a lot of eye fatigue. Both of my parents are deceased. I have two sisters who are deceased. I'm a Christian and tried multiple times to get help from a local church and the pastoral staff don't know how to minister to a trauma victim. This is all I can write for now.
@Pyramus7
Hello there! 👋🏼
How nice to meet you. Thank you for introducing yourself to the Healthy Living community and telling us a bit about yourself.
Having A Bachelor’s degree is quite impressive… So sorry to hear about your accident. And It’s nice to know for you that you are still able to walk despite the pain that you feel.. And also so glad to hear that you are receiving a good medication routine & that it’s been helpful to you. That’s so important!…
Im sorry to hear that you have had issues trying to get help from your local church. I’m not sure what other churches you may have in your area, but maybe there is another one near you that could possibly help with the support that you are looking for? I only mention that since I don’t know if have other churches in your area & if any attempt was made to see if they offer the support you need. But I surely hope that you can find what will support & benefit you.
But we are also here to support you at 7Cups! Whether through this community, 1-1 Personal listener chats, or in our Group Support rooms. We are here for you.
Thank you for sharing with us. And we hope that you will continue to check back & let us know how you are doing!
@PoliteOcean
My dream summer vacation would be going to Korea!! I’ve always wanted to go for the ocean, the food, and the overall culture. Hopefully I get to go one day ☺️
@Mandie108
Sounds awesome 💛🤗
