Springtime / Spring Break Hobbies!
Drop a list of your favorite springtime activities, hobbies, or things that bring you joy!!
(For context, I'm currently on spring break and am looking for fun things to do that don't involve travel 😅)
@xsoupyplants12 For me, it's visiting the duckies! 🦆🦆🦆🦆 I love seeing them when we can. They make me so happy! 😀 Hope you find something fun to do too that brings you joy!
@YourCaringConfidant Awww that’s so cute!! I love ducks! I’ll go visit the park (there are a couple little ponds/rivers) and hopefully I’ll be able to see them :) thanks for the suggestion!! 🦆🐥🫶
@xsoupyplants12 Awww, I hope you see the cute duckies too and it makes your day! Hopefully the weather where you are feels lovely. Enjoy being out! ❤️
@YourCaringConfidant
Aw, that's such a cute way to spend time!

@trueconfidant123 Omg! How did I miss seeing this cute duckie! Makes me happy.
@YourCaringConfidant hehe 🤭🦆

I love visiting art museums.
Going to the cinema.
Picnics.
Meeting friends for a coffee.
Art, usually painting 🤗🩵

@Amanda84 That’s awesome! These are some of my favorite activities too!! Thank you for the inspiration!! (Also, you mentioned you like going to art museums—what’s your favorite painting?) 😁
@Amanda84

Painting is such a fun spring activity!!! Especially painting things in season. I personally love to paint frogs 🐸 💚
@xsoupyplants12
Gardening
Sky watching
Laying on the grass and soaking up the sun
Picnics
Early morning walks
@TrinityBringer oooh that sounds so relaxing! Definitely good to reconnect with nature 🫶 hopefully the weather where I am gets a bit warmer soon so I can go outside more! Thank you 😊
@xsoupyplants12 happy to help, and I hope the weather improves for you :)
This list sounds so grounding! I love to meditate in the grass on a sunny day. A good way to tan while also replenishing mental stability! Early morning walks are calming too, before it gets too hot!!! 💗
@xsoupyplants12 I like reading and writing, taking a walk and observing
@butterflyjie86
I love all three of these!! I was a lot more into writing in my high school days, but here and there I try to journal or write a poem. Walking is a form of meditation for me 😌💗
@xsoupyplants12
I read novels.
I write short stories.
I watch movies/series online.
I make a variety of coffees.
I workout.
@trueconfidant123 That sounds really fun!! I also love reading and writing! What’s your favorite book or genre of books? :)
@xsoupyplants12
My favourite book is Open When by Dr Julie Smith that's about psychology. My favourite genre however, is romance.
How about you? 😃
@trueconfidant123 That sounds like a really cool book! I’ll check it out sometime :) I really like fiction! I have so many favorites haha 😅 especially Animal Farm, Flowers for Algernon, and Fahrenheit 451!
@xsoupyplants12
I'm a fan of fiction myself. I can't wait to get my hands on Animal Farm someday. I've a lot to tackle on my TBR at the moment. 😛💗
@trueconfidant123 Yess that’s really cool! Animal Farm is amazing!!!! And same here I have a million books on my list…working through them slowly I guess 🥲
@xsouoyplants12
I usually love buying new outdoor plants for my balcony
Reading outside on a bench
Going for long walks
Getting artsy (with family, friends, or alone)
@xsoupyplants12
I like to go on walks and look at all the new spring growth! It reminds me that I am growing as well. Shedding off the winter blues and welcoming the spring bliss is such a wonderful thing 🌷😍💖
I also like to open the windows to let fresh air in whenever I can, try new spring-themed foods (if that makes sense lol), and color spring-designed coloring pages from the coloring book collection!
@colorfulHorizon2069 I love that mindset!! Spring is definitely a time of growth and we can see it reflected all around us in nature :) and making spring themed food/coloring is so fun too! Thanks for sharing!!
I’ve been into flower preservation recently, which I think would be a lovely springtime hobby! 💐
@ACozyBunny I love that! I think it’s a really cool hobby and it’s a great way to prolong their lifespan and still be able to display them even after they’ve dried!! 🌹🌼💕
@xsoupyplants12
Thank you! It really is, and it adds a lovely touch of colour to the home
@ACozyBunny Definitely! What do you use the preserved flowers for? (I’ve seen people making lanterns, artwork, etc.)…any suggestions?
