Do your hobbies change in the heat?
It's been really hot here, Do you have hobbies specifically for hot weather?
I paint but the pigments dry up too fast in heat.

Sewing is too sweaty lol.
Cooking changes to BBQ and outdoor recipes.

So help me find a hot hobby please.
@CocoaCassie
Im not a heat lover but I like to go swimming in this heat.
Painting.
Water balloon fights.

@Amanda84 yeah the beach ⛱️ a nice option but I need to be occupied whilst there, reading I love, or writing.
Water balloons !!!!

@CocoaCassie I'm a big fan of writing too, not too fond of the tanning part 😁
@Amanda84 ooh another writer? What do you write?
@CocoaCassie
I like to write about personal struggles and turn them into poems, helps release pent up emotions 💜

To beat the summer heat, you can pursue hobbies that won't make you feel uncomfortable bcz if weather hear.maybe swimming ,or Try digital art instead of traditional painting to avoid colors drying too fast or maybe you can find colous that don't try fast bcz of geat 🤔. Enjoy puzzles and reading indoors in an air conditioned space, or learn something new online. If you enjoy crafts,for me I like making bracelets it's like jewelry making I consider it a great option that's unaffected by the heat.
@Tulipsmile yep I make healing jewellery, that's really good to do in natural light, it makes for much better energy than artificial lighting.
But, digital art? To me that is something different to painting.
What kind of stuff do you make?
@CocoaCassie
Sorry I saw the comment now .
Actually I don't make digital art I wish I know about it .I want to learn about it in future
@CocoaCassie I'm either turning my home into an igloo via the air conditioner. Or I am at the pool relaxing with ice water. This heat is nuts!
@HopefulOne81 I love heat but yes it seems to make everyone crazy!
My oil paints are splitting and the layers are drying too fast and cracking 😭

Have you tried other forms of art? Such as creating canvas pictures with actual nature like using leaves and flowers?
The heat helps the glue dry faster, leaving less room for the nature on the canvas to move around. You could then also use inspiration from parks or fields to create certain summery themes.
@SharkLover21 what a great idea! Thanks!
You’re welcome!
@CocoaCassie

@Tinywhisper11 I have a fairy garden, it is a special den that is decorated with painted stones and slates, it has daisies and foxgloves and a cool wet fairy glen inhabited by a toad family. They turn into fairies at night 💫

Fairy Gardens are so fun. I had a Bonsai smack in the middle of mine which is now part of my sisters house and that was/is relaxing to care for.
