Treat yourself better
Hello 👀 !
Our relationship with ourselves is often the quietest but most powerful connection we’ll ever have. It’s the voice we hear when no one else is around, the way we treat ourselves in moments of failure or success, and the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. 💭
When this relationship is healthy, everything else becomes easier — setting boundaries, building friendships, handling stress, and even facing uncertainty. But when we’re overly critical, constantly comparing, or ignoring our own needs, it’s hard to feel grounded or whole. That’s why it’s important to check in with ourselves, just like we would with a friend.
Here are a few ways to nurture your relationship with yourself:
-
Self-reflection: Journal your thoughts or feelings without judgment.
-
💬Positive self-talk: Notice your inner voice — is it kind or harsh?
-
Time alone: Spend quiet moments doing things you enjoy.
-
Respect your limits: Saying “no” is a form of self-respect.
-
Celebrate small wins: Acknowledge progress, not just perfection.
When we treat ourselves with compassion and curiosity, we grow. And from that growth comes strength, clarity, and the capacity to connect more deeply with others.
What’s one small act of self-kindness you can offer yourself today?💫
This is so true! Happiness, they say, comes from within and that often comes from loving and being kind to yourself. We deserve better and the one who needs more kindness and love should definitely be ourselves.ð«¶

one small act of kindness that i can offer myself today would be taking regular breaks and make some time for myself

Hey there
@JaniceWang
to be nice with my costumers
@JaniceWang Today, I’m going to give myself permission to just rest without feeling guilty. Even taking a few minutes to breathe and disconnect feels like a small act of kindness to myself these day considering how busy we all going through so much all at the same time.✨
@JaniceWang I can probably sleep early. And reduce my screen time a bit. I would love to take a walk and exercise a bit too.

Today I will give myself time to watch a movie and rest. I have been overthinking these past days and am so exhausted.
@JaniceWang I concur that teamwork is enhanced by empathy. The group as a whole performs better when members feel comfortable voicing concerns. The morale was terrible when I worked with someone who instantly dismissed other people's suggestions. It's quite different when you compare that to a team where everyone feels heard. Do you believe that empathy must be developed on one's own or can it be taught in the workplace?
@JaniceWang
Well today I allowed myself to take a break after my unit tests instead of directly studying for the next exam and the one after that and so on. Watching a movie, spending time with family and chatting on 7Cups is a good break rather than trying to study the day after exams.
@JaniceWang Today I will give myself time to relax and do something fun like playing games
