Tw: Reflections/Deep thoughts/ Discussion Questions

Now that the possible trigger warning is done, here is the discussion I would like to have My name is InsightfulPhoenix or Phoe for short. Today I would like to take a moment and just remember the last time you had someone give you a compliment. An with that compliment not only did you feel good about what it was they were speaking on, you felt heard. This discussion falls under the section Collaborating ( section 4) and Acting ( section 5).

The reason why, because this was a social skill that the person on the outside picked up on and brought forth to your attention, how well you were doing such things they were complimenting on. Which then falls into section 5 of us acting out of admiration not only for ourselves, but the person who compliment your good work. Achievements are good no matter how small or big, pat yourself on the back! 🥰

Questions:

1. What kind of emotions do you feel after getting a compliment?

2. When was the last time you gave a compliment to someone or someone complimented to you?

3. Do you feel that compliments help assist in a person's morale?

Hiii IP. 👋

1. What kind of emotions do you feel after getting a compliment?

I feel all kinds of emotions after I receive a compliment. It really all just depends on the mood I'm in. Often times, I smile andI feel happy. Sometimes my heart is just too full that I want to cry-- especially when it's too much for me.

2. When was the last time you gave a compliment to someone or someone complimented to you?

Literally a few minutes ago. ♡

3. Do you feel that compliments help assist in a person's morale?

Most definitely. While I believe that we should not depend so much on other's compliments or thoughts of us, I can't deny that getting compliments is a mood booster. When we are kind to others and express it with our words, it makes people feel valued.

@Yourcaringconfidant, I love seeing your answers on here in part of participation. This means alot to see your insight and take on something like this. I do agree with your first answer, especially when its very heartfelt that it could lead to tears. An that's good you compliment someone just not even a few moments prior to this. An thank you for your input on the last question, it does definitely create mind boosters.

@InsightfulPhoenix

Hi Phoe, thank you for the post. I think compliments can be helpful especially when given directly/instantly after the act you are acknowledging.

However I have learned, that most people want acknowledgment for their work rather than praise. Most people go through lives unseen so compliments is one way to see someone's work.

This a good point @Hope, many people do go throughout life without the slightiest bit of recognition, and it does show that some people just want the acknowledgement of their good jobs rather than the praise.

Praise is often good, because I do believe acknowledgement and praise should be shown more in not only platonic situations, romantic situations but also in the workfield. Many of people deal with so much feedback they don't get a true chance of hearing what it is, they are truly doing good at.

I appreciate you for taking the time to comment and participate in this discussionð¥°
