Loving embrace of Self-Respect
tw: healing. deep discussion, questions, mentions of boundaries and self-respect
Good morning everyone it's InsightfulPhoenix or Phoe again with another beautifully engaging discussion topic. This topic will fall in the sections 1 and section 5. I want to talk about the topic Loving embrace of Self-Respect with you all this lovely morning, because I feel that topics like this are not seen enough and I thought it was about time one was made!
When you think of Loving Embrace, do you think of the physical attributes that is given or the emotional attributes? When most individuals think of an embrace they believe it is a hug or some form of physical touch. In this topic think of embrace as an emotional and mental clarity, something that assists us in the proper direction of our own healing journeys. Now our healing journeys are always interpersonal and belong to only ourselves, of course you will always meet others' that are more than likely on the same path or just crossed the path you were recently one.
A healing journey is what you make of it, yes it can be scary because of all these new concepts, energetic pulls and different wavelengths you will feel during the time an I am here to say that is beyond normal, and you are not alone feeling this way. When it comes to a Loving embrace whether the embrace comes from self-care, self-appreciation and self-love.
Now with self-respect the loving embrace also comes from within yourself as an individual, think of this embrace as an emotional and mental cocoon just like a butterfly or even a moth does in nature. The reason I say this because energetically the more self-respect you gain through time, the more it molds around you like a mental and emotional layer like an internal cocoon. Which is beautiful and very wonderful to be apart of! An when you are ready to use the new found self-respect that you have gained through your interpersonal healing journey and recovery think of yourself as a butterfly or moth bursting through the cocoon ready for take on any that try to disrupt the peace of mind you have created!

@InsightfulPhoenix
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to write this. I haven't quite thought of myself in this way and it's really insightful for me.
Secondly, my answers may not reflect the way it was intended to be viewed, but the answers are genuinely how they made me think of myself and feel.
1. What is your experience with a Loving embrace of Self-Respect as of right now?
The hardest thing to do was to just lean into myself. Accept my "flaws," mannerisms, and personality in its entirety. Remind myself that my past doesn't have to define me, and my past is a testament to my strength.
2. What stage would you say your in the caterpillar, cocoon or butterfly/moth? What does each stage represent for you?
Caterpillar. I've started from the ground up. Analysing my past so I can understand myself better, learn to admit and live with my mistakes and unfortunate choices, and over time, remove the conditioning I have been subjected to over the years.
Cocoon would mean I have completely forgiven myself and made noticeable efforts to be the person I need to be.
Butterfly would mean I have started to follow through on my life goals, and there is no possibility of turning back. A new me, a new life.
3. How do you feel after reading this?
Understood. While your messages are subtle, I can see what they mean for me. I feel invigorated and less alone in my endeavours. I truly appreciate your post.
@DipityEnigma

@InsightfulPhoenix
When I thought of loving embrace you were right I thought of the physical attribute; especially in the sense of a hug.
I found your post very interesting, thought-provoking and eye opening. I do not think I have ever heard of loving embrace in terms of emotional or mental clarity like you discussed in the post.
One of the things that made me decide to respond to your post in particular was the butterfly transformation picture you included. In one of my IDG posts I also posted about this concept and reference but in terms of hope.
You did a really nice job and I have to say i really enjoyed reading and responding to you post :)
