ooh violin, fun instrument but so difficult and it takes a while to get comfortable with it. I’ve played for about two years on and off
The hard work pays off though because it has such a beautiful sound!

if you don’t have a teacher, I would recommend watching videos to make sure you have the right form so you don’t develop bad habits. There are plenty of videos for how to hold the bow and violin correctly and how to sit etc.
the best thing to do is start out with scales of you haven’t already
And finally make sure you rosin and tune every time you play and tighten your bow enough! A lot of beginners think you can tune once and it’s good for a while but it’s not like a guitar, it goes out of tune quickly
