Yummy! Thanks for the carrots too! Gotta' eat your veggies! Let's see, fun facts about me...I guess I usually don't speak about me so much, I usually engage others, ask about them but it's fun when things come up in conversation when I have things to contribute. I think that is an interesting fact for sure! I usually don't have a problem finding common ground or fun things to talk about with anyone. I think most people would consider me to be an extrovert but I'm really kind of an introvert in some ways too. I like people but I also am fine being alone.
I love music, I like to read, I love animals, I like to cook, I laugh a lot! I think all kinds of things are funny. Sometimes I have an interesting way of looking at things to get a laugh out of it all. I try to not take myself too seriously. I also have an incredibly deep, serious side. I love hard and strong, I'm loyal to a fault, I think about the implications of things, the big picture. And seeing the big picture, to me requires breaking it down into the minutia.
I care about the feelings of others. I think kindness matters, always. I think it's important to understand that you never really know what someone else is going through so it's good to try to be especially nice!
I like smells. Odd huh? I love fragrance, nice fragrances. I think hot baths are amazing. I really like the glow of candles. Even on rainy days I enjoy the rain, the sound it makes against the window pane. But I make my own sunshine inside with a candle now and again.
I enjoy order and organization. It helps me to think and become mentally organized. Being organized and productive in that way helps me to be even more productive if that makes any sense. I like to think I have a great deal of integrity and keep my commitments at all costs and so many times, I promise less but deliver more.
I guess I was just kind of all over the place with that. Just kind of "brain dumping" there. And that wasn't very organized at all, but it was fun. I don't have to feel buttoned up around someone that cares about what I have to say more than how I say it and I can tell you care more about what it is that I have to say in our little fun forum area.

Fun facts about me:
I was a competitive triathlete for 5 years. Which if you do not know is swimming, biking and running. ALl in one event. I love to do art. Recently found a passion for coloring which is also really great way to do self care. I am really involved in volunteering in community with special needs individuals and on a hotline I also volunteer on. I enjoy going for walks in the rain and sun with my dog and trying new things. One thing that I really want to do one day is become a firefighter and paramedic. Which is what I am going into college for :o. I always found an interest in indigenous peoples mental health and addiction which is super important in my community. I always love to lend helping hands to those in need :o.
Now To the work on cups. I really love the forums it is what I do when I have nothing to do I go and lurk in the forums and read and reply to new posts. I mentor the TOZ mindfulness and help wanted community. I love to hang out in TL and talk with all the listeners and give cs when needed really lending a hand as a leader in the community. I have been here over a year now and have learned so many things!

I loved seeing your artwork! Thank you for sharing that with me!
I also loved reading about the things that you do here on 7 cups as well as the other volunteer work that you do outside of that. It's quite impressive that you have your goals laid out, your purpose and your direction that you want to take in life. I for one have a great deal of respect for you. I understand that you are on the teen side. I don't ever discount anyone for any reason. I don't judge by age or anything else.
In my personal experience, I surely do know that I was not as "together" as you are at your age. I commend you! Don't get me wrong, I worked hard, was a good person, tried to always be helpful to others. 7 cups wasn't around then, but I wish it had been. If you don't want to give yourself a big pat on the back for all that you do, well I'll be the one to do it for you! I feel bad for the teen side for the loss they will experience in February, but will be grateful for your presence on the adult side.
My work here on 7 cups: I'm newer here. I do my best. I've tried hard to read the forums, spend time in the LSR in an effort to learn along with taking some of the trainings when I can. I find it to be very gratifying to be in service to others. I enjoy taking member chats as well. I love my members/our members.
What I do for self care I guess is really quite simple. Some of the things that I listed prior of things that I really enjoy. Perhaps I'm dull or am someone that just doesn't require a great deal. I think self care is really what it is that you enjoy. As for me it's music, reading, hot baths, a richly scented candle, snuggling with my dog, watching tv, alone time, decompressing, letting myself "off the hook" and telling myself I did my best and that if my heart was in the right place, well, it's all going to be ok. I'm not perfect and I'm not great, but I feel good just knowing that I try hard and do the best with what I have been given to do it with. I get down just like anyone else at times, but I give myself gentle reminders that at least I was someone that showed up and I did it with the best of intentions!

Those are great ways to do self care! I know on teen side we preech about self care especially when our smol teenies take on too much. When I first started that was me but learnt how to set boundries and put self care in my day to day life!! I love self care and @heather225 really loves that I finally started to enjoy it! I am only a teen for just over a month wow time flies I was a smol bean and now the teens can call me an oldie soon and *whimpers give me a cane* I hopefully will get atl so that I can connect with both sides!!! Tip from an experienced cupser find an area of the site that you are passionate about dont take on too much in the begining and I guess what I did was started as a forum supporter and worked my way up to being a forum mentor to a global mentor this was over a year process though. Get a mentor to lean on and help guide you on your way.

My vote is that we put a little basket on the front of it for you to keep goodies in and a little horn on it too......beep, beep, coming through! lol

I learned a little bit more about myself today. I took the empathy quiz that came through the forum cycle on the bottom of the "my path" page. I shared my score there as requested. I got a 107 out of 110. I'm not surprised, at all! Feel free to take the quiz @Hope and @Karrot and you can share the results here as well!
I took a personality test online not too long ago. I came up as "Defender" and specifically ISFJ-A
I think it's really interesting because it kind of comes back to my earlier comment about fun facts about myself. As in most people think I am quite the extrovert, but I feel introverted also. When you take the personality test it will break down certain parts and give you percentages...one thing on mine was 61% introvert among other things that I learned about myself!
I hope you both have fun with both of these things!

ohhhhh...meeting the turtle sounds like fun! Is it a big one, a little one, did you get to hold them. Is it a he or a she? I bet it's really, really hard to see that on a turtle! Does the turtle have a name? I think turtles are great! I like their outlook! Ya know, the whole turtoise and the hare story, I love that story. I for one think "pacing"ones self is a good idea too!

Jumbo bean bag chairs sound great! Seeing as how our tree fort is huge, I think we should get about 50 of them. No worries, in our magical world in 7 cups land we have unlimited funds so I'll put in an order to Amazon right now! We have one of those great memberships were they don't charge us shipping and bring it the very next day!

This is so much fun! I wonder if we are the first ever to build a tree fort on 7 cups property? I don't think anyone will mind, it's a pretty big place around here if you take the whole tour! I love the spot you picked Karrot! Lots of green grass, big pretty trees every where, and just the perfect amount of sunshine!
@SparkyGizmo Yes the type of tree is a beautiful General Sherman believed to be the world's largest tree by volume. We have stairs getting up to the look out point on the top!!!!

I love this tree, it's so big and so fluffy! It's the biggest tree on the property! It's like a huge piece of broccoli on steroids! We can see everything from up here in 7 cups land! Even the stairway leading up to our tree fort is so pretty! I love the candles we set out, one on each stair to light the way at night for all of our visitors to enjoy the glow and arrive safely! We have to remind our visitors to be extra careful if they are wearing a long skirt or dress. We can't be catching our friends on fire

Thank you Karrot! This sounds like great reading material! I always love reading a little or watching some tv right before bed. I'm so excited about the tree fort that I brought a sleeping bag and decided to sleep here for tonight! We know that we are safe here even while sleeping in the great outdoors! We're on 7 cups property, we have the safety patrol team and we have trained active listeners available 24/7 to always keep a watch out! I'm snuggling in with my teddy bear, but everyone still come in and have fun! You won't wake me or bother me at all! Everyone come on in, have fun and I'll see you in the morning! *huggles*

I'm doing great today! How are you? I just tried to post on this thread a minute ago, but my wifi cut out....
I'll retype it. I went' to sleep last night early! Had Dr's appt.s to check out my legs, I need those to climb the stairs to our tree fort! Had some lab work done too, so I'm getting a really late start checking in today. I stopped by 3 key things first and then here at our tree fort The place looks great! I swept a little, shook out the rugs and washed the after breakfast dishes. I see our Amazon order got delivered so I brought all of the bean bags in and set them around so our guests will have a comfy spot to sit!
I'll try to start up and get some traction for my 3 key things to report tomorrow but I got a late start, so not sure how far I will get today! I guess something is better than nothing! Little things add up to great things! I hope you day is going really well! Stay great (won't be hard for you because you are wonderful!) and great big *hugs* from the Gizzie!

I am stuck at my desk studying for the rest of the day and writting a poem for english and doing law research notes on the rehabilitation in the prison system. I usually post in the wonderful 3 key things thread before i go to bed. Have some nice tea and have a relaxing time. It looks so clean in here and amazing I love it <3. Luckily this term is done on the 31st and that marks 18 days till right when I age up you being the first human that I pm!!! New decade new side of cups what more adventures does one have right?
Hopefully the lab work comes back well. That reminds me I need to get mine done and I keep putting it off because life gets in the way! I also got caught cupsing in class though you can not read that thread because is in a teen area I will insert it in the next reply

This was my thread in no cupsing in class yes I got caught I think they should just require me to make a daily post at this point in time!
So in english today we watched thed great Gatsby movie and didnt finish it because class is sadly only 2 and a half hours!!! In law we were talking about Automatism and read some sleepwalking cases but I wont go into detail because would not be right for the forums! I found out that the highlighter glowed with the blue light from the projector which was super cool and amazing I will insert a photo. I also forgot a hair elastic so put my hair up with a pencil!!! not sure how that worked but it has proven to work.

I love tea, I make a large piture of it many times, I like it sweetened and poured over ice. But sometimes, I like a hot mug of it also. (I drink coffee too) I'm a simple gal, just the run of the day mill tea bags they have on sale at the grocery store.
But I have had lots of different teas, camomile, sleepy time, etc. I think all of them are really nice. What is your favorite kind?
Aha! Stuck at the desk you say? Nope, you are not stuck my friend! The mindset, the things we tell ourselves can negate our creative juices. The things we tell ourselves can rob us of what we are and what we can be! You choose to sit at the desk. You choose to engage and to work on your studies and connect to your creative side. The tiniest of words we say to ourselves, say out loud, or type.......they are more impactful than we can ever realize!
You never want to say "I have to go to work" try "I'm going to go to work right now". I think you make great choices @Karrot! You are an inspiration to others!
I'll take what you said as a promise to me, that I will be the very first pm you ever make once transitioning to the adult side! I really would be honored to have that happen! And I want me, to be your very first experience when stepping this way.I want this to be a happy day for you! So you can see that we have been waiting for you with open arms! Tea is amazing!! I am currently drinking apple cinnamon tea!! My favorite type is english breakfast or earl grey though!! I love alot of teas but different teas serve me different purposes. I love how you change the way of thinking I need to become more advid about that myself friend and doing it more and more!You most definately will be the first one I message I think I age up at 8pm EST on the 17th due to timezones :o Adult side will be a new journey with lots of new things to learn!!!

How are you today friend? I got a presentation today and have it to be presented tommorow and a final project!! Maybe tonight will be this teenie pulling an all nighter. After class today I have to go to a coffee shot with my pal in class and work on the multimedia presentation that we are working on. FInal stretch and now sitting in law class I thought I better check in on you my friend. *sends you breakfast* I made a nice smoothie today and brought it to class. I think on my break I may go buy myself a cup of tea. Sitting in class I am reflecting on my future and all the adventures still to be had.
