...See more It might not seem like much, but putting pen to paper and writing down our thoughts and feelings can do wonders for our well-being. When we journal, we create a safe and private space where we can express ourselves freely and without judgment. This can be especially helpful if we find it hard to share our feelings with others. Journaling also helps us gain clarity and perspective on our thoughts and emotions. We can identify patterns in our thinking and behavior, which can help us recognize triggers and make positive changes in our lives. It can also be a powerful tool to manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. By writing down our worries and concerns, we can release some of the tension we're carrying around and feel more at ease. 7 Cups has recently launched a Journals & Diaries community and we’re kicking off the launch with a fun challenge you can join! To start and maintain a journaling practice, we are launching a One Line A Day Challenge, where you are invited to journal only one line a day, for 1 month (or more!). Here’s how to join in: * Subscribe to the Journals & Diaries subcommunity at 7 Cups by clicking “Join”. * Consider taking the Flourishing Assessment [https://www.7cups.com/assessment/Flourishing] before you begin the challenge to get a sense of how well you are thriving. This free assessment helps you get insight on your strengths too! * Click the “One Line A Day” topic on the right-hand side of the Journals & Diaries community homepage. Create a thread for your journaling journey. An example thread is “SoulfullyAButterfly’s One Line A Day Thread [https://www.7cups.com/forum/JournalsDiaries_219/OneLineADay_2524/SoulfullyAButterflysOneLineADayThread_301755/]”. You can mention your starting date and any other requests you would like (such as whether you prefer people only read or are ok to get supportive replies) in your first post. * Feeling stuck? We will also create daily journaling prompt threads under the “One Line A Day” topic/section to help you reflect on different things. While this is optional, you can use the prompts for inspiration and can respond under those threads (feel welcome to copy the prompt/response) onto your own thread if you feel like having everything in one place! An additional feature 7 Cups offers is your private journal and timeline. To view it, feel welcome to click here [https://www.7cups.com/path/]. Will you be joining the One Line A Day Challenge? Let us know below and tag other users you think may enjoy this!

7 Cups Private Journal Feature: Your Personal Safe Space

...See more Having a safe space to reflect and document your thoughts and feelings can be a valuable tool in your wellness toolbox. A lot of us at 7 Cups have been journaling and self-reflecting, and I wanted to highlight the private journal feature which currently lives on our profiles as well as under the path steps we can take:  With the Private Journal feature, you can: 📝 Create Personal Entries: Document your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a completely private setting. It's your space to express yourself freely, without judgment. 📆 View on Your Timeline: Your journal entries are organized on a timeline, alongside other site activity like messages, hearts, path steps taken, and assessment score data. This timeline provides a holistic view of your progress and self-care journey. Have you tried out this feature yet? Feel welcome to share feedback and any ideas on how you would want this feature updated to meet your journalling needs.

...See more Midnight snacks because I generally wake up in the middle of the night for a snack and then find it difficult to fall back asleep. I thought this would be a good time to reflect and journal.

...See more Frustrated that I made mistakes on neuro hw. I still got an A on it though. It's ok to make mistakes. Always feel lonely and sad before I go to bed. I went to support group today but it's so hard to share things there sometimes. I try to tell myself I am doing my best to show up and share a little more each time.

...See more I have not logged into 7cups for about a week. Ready to jump back in now! I've been traveling around a bit, visiting my friends in their new homes, and it has been a very very fun experience so far. The heatwaves are, unfortunately, no JOKE :/  Comments are welcome, but I will mainly just be documenting what I am up to, but would love to hear if anyone is having similar experiences!

...See more I know this will not go well. not perfect. not forever. maybe only today. even if so. lets just be it. still thank you for inviting and the opportunity. it has been awhile since revisiting 7cups. i wonder if it is because i paused again after a weeks' of bh therapy. i wondered again if i made the wrong move and "wasted" money again. i wonder if this is just going to end up with another rant thread. still nevertheless, i am happy that i get to type if out here. at least. i hope it doesn't get wiped by moderators. Anyways this will just be the entry for now. PS : And yea, my used to "health problems" are still there. despite the weight "gain" now. and being complacent lazier?

Day 2 -- Trying really hard is really hard

...See more Lots of crying today. Lots of inward screaming too (probably should've been outward, but people are sleeping). I am crying my eyes out at pretty much everything! I know this is a symptom of withdrawal from the meds I can't afford while I am securing my new health insurance. It's all just...a lot. I'll make it through. I always do. It's just not always so clear how -- but I am working on that too. I am finding writing to be really therapeutic. I look forward to writing more tomorrow.

Day 1 -- Everything Hurts...

...See more My body, my heart, my brain -- it all hurts. The last two days have left me in a puddle. I did a Tarot reading, and it helped me realize that introspection is okay but it's just as important to remain connected with the human collective. So today, as I inevitably cry hundreds of times, I am going to stay connected. Somehow 😜

One Line a Day — Let’s Create Our Story Together ✨

...See more Hey lovely souls 🌸 I thought it would be beautiful if we all tried something together — Let’s sum up our day in just one line. No matter how simple, heavy, or joyful it feels — just one line that captures today. I’ll start, and then you can add yours. Let’s watch as these little pieces of our days come together to form one long, gentle story — a reminder that we’re never really alone in what we feel. 💫 Here’s mine: "Today felt like a quiet pause — not bad, not great, just softly there." Your turn 🌻: How would you sum up your day in one line?

Dakota Raven coming undone

...See more I feel at this point, things have gotten to the point that I have to journal to record my racing thoughts at the moment before they disappear into mist and then seem surreal. I had a sense of deja vu, and not knowing what has been a dream or actual disconnected events and thoughts.. i seem so detached. I don't know if this is a break, ptsd, dissociation, trauma response or what.. i have reached out for help, but i keep hitting walls. I can be clear enough to communicate it, at the time, but with everything going virtual, it doesn't help the disconnect that follows. How can I follow through if Im not sure of what i said, or if i even said it at all? I wish there was an answer, even if i wouldn't like it. i wish i had the comfort of someone experiencing this, or just someone tangible at all. I said I was going to journal my thoughts to have a record of them, with no thought of the writing or cohesiveness. I am afraid of that vulnerability, and honesty, to be honest. Of being judged, or pitied. But being trapped alone with these thoughts 24/7 can't be worse. I've always loved Alice in Wonderland, but I've found this to be similar as down the rabbit hole, and terrifying. I've taken comfort in, mad people have no thought that they are mad. Because I think about it often, and this is one of the scarier thoughts to me. Being trapped in my own mind, which seems unfamiliar lately. It seems that the times that I've come undone, seem brutally public and in plain sight even if I do feel utterly alone. Watching someone drown. Is how this feels. I'm drowning, and its in plain sight, with no life line to save me. Morbid curiosity, comes to mind. Watching a train wreck. You can't look away. These thoughts make me sad. I believe in God, and I think that there's a reason for this. Putting my faith in man too much. But I've never felt farther from God and man, punished by fear and negative thoughts, which don't come from God, but a darker source, which just creates fear, also not from God. I guess I feel forsaken. I am hoping to get to the root of all this, no matter the stigma.
