This is what I learnt from chapter 9: 

This chapter emphasised the importance of celebrating together. When people in a community come together to celebrate, they also think upon what brings them together and what they see themselves doing in the future. It supercharges the team and especially the key members of the community. 

For this, it is important to know our Why behind the gathering. This ensures the gathering will be effective. And when the purpose is clear, the logistics become easier to manage as well. In these gatherings, it is important to remember our special sauce as well - the shared language, rituals and badges - everything that gives the community members a sense of belonging and recognition. It is the responsibility of the leader to also shine light on the good impact of the community as this is generally only visible to the leader at a broader level.
