Confusion, Stress, and Validity.

Hello 7cups. I've been struggling with my gender identity off and off for a long time now and I thought instead of wallowing in fears and confusion I would reach out to a group that might be able to help.

I am AFAB but rarely feel happy when seen as such. Mostly I am indifferent, but never happy.

What does give me euphoria is being seen as or presenting as male or non-binary. On a few days to a week out of every month or two I have dysphoria. I have things to help alleviate this but when considering surgery (specifically top) I am far too terrified of it to ever go through with it.

However, indifference is the default. I suspect that this is due to depression which I have chronically, but I can't be sure.

I struggle with feeling not (gender) enough. No matter what I try to identify with/as I find myself feeling as if I'm stealing the label from people who "deserve it" more.

I find myself wishing that someone would just tell me what my gender is and I'll trust and go with it, but I know that's now how it works. However, any help or advice would be appreciated.

im having nearly the same issues myself, although i am struggling too and have yet to come with solid terms of who i am or how to proceed with it, time has helped me. its been a long process but overall learning more about how i feel, how others cope who feel the same, has helped balance me out a bit with some reassurance. but id say dont dive too deep into overthinking any cons or fears you may be having, that shit will set u back, just take care of your dysphoria the best u can, look up how to better ur self esteem and let the questions answer themselves as time goes on.
