7 Cups Celebrates Pride 2026: Unity!

pride-2026-unity3_1780251618.png

2026 World Pride focuses on the theme of Unity. While many parts of the world have made great strides in growing acceptance and rights for LGBTQ+ people, this year's Pride theme reminds us that "None of us are free until all of us are free."  Or to quote Marsha P. Johnson who participated in the Stonewall Riots where modern Pride celebrations were essentially born, "There is no pride for some of us without liberation for all of us."

As part of honouring Pride here on 7 Cups we will have the adult LGBTQ+ Support Room open 24/7 for the month of June. So take a moment to stop by and celebrate Pride and Unity with us!

This month I invite you to think on this theme and what it means for you in your life? Why is unity so important for the LGBTQ+ community? What does unity look like for you?

Can't wait for the celebrations to begin? Take a peek back at some of our events from last year here.
Maybe you want to show your Pride even more? Consider creating a Pride themed profile picture! Need help creating one? Check out this thread!

@EmotionsListener Thanks for the frames! Love it! I will definitely update my pfp this month to show pride and support! ❤️ I updated it currently, but don't like how my cupcake and name looks, so I'll keep working on it until I'm happy with what ChatGPT or Gemini does. 😂🤣

@EmotionsListener happy Pride, everyone!

To me, Unity means intersectionality. We need to acknowledge that different types of oppressions intertwine with each other in people's experiences, and we need to also fight for the liberation of people whose struggles look different than our own.

This means fighting for trans right when you are cis. Fighting for racial equality when racism doesn't affect you. Fighting for workers rights even if you are relatively wealthy. Fighting against ableism when you are able bodied.
Queer people come in all types of bodies, incomes, nationalities. Queer people are migrants, queer people are neurodivergent, queer people are single mothers, queer people live on minimum wage. Queer people face all kinds of struggles and experiences, and if we all only address the one that affect us personally, we're not really fighting for all queer people.

@Aayla 👏 👏 👏  💯

Happy pride month

Happy Pride month, everyone!

And thank you, Emo, for being mindful about all the people who are going through a hard time right now, there seems to be very little acceptance in a few corners of the world right now. I'm sending strength to all of you.

You got every right to be yourself, no matter what people say. 🌈
