Told my mom I think I might be ace and she responded pretty well
She seemed a little confused but I explained it to her and she wasn't mad at all. I explained to her the difference between romantic and sexual attraction and she kinda understood. So I guess I came out or am partly out. The gender thing can wait for a different time 🤷♂️

That sounds like a really big step for you. Opening up about something like that isn’t easy, and it sounds like you handled it thoughtfully.
It also seems like it went better than you might have expected, even if it still feels a little uncertain. That mix of relief and ‘not fully sure yet’ is completely normal.

I think in general parents need to adjust but it does not have to be negative but those are the stories that are often repeated scaring some to not share with family.
Yeah I was I guess I was lucky. I'm still scared to talk about my gender identity and I don't think they'd take that as well but fingers crossed 🤞 I'm just trying to take it one step at a time
