Lesbian Loneliness
I'm sick of being gay. I'm 32, and I watch my straight friends find love and commitment, start family's, and have wonderful lives. I want that for myself so badly but when I go on dating sites and try to find a match of my own no one is ever looking for anything commited. It's all polyamory and hook ups. Maybe things would be different if I were less femme, less bottomy. Feels like everyone's looking for someone strong and toppy and here I am a wannabe 1950s house wife who just so happens to prefer girls. I've tried everything to make my life rich outside of a relationship but it just isn't doing anything to make me feel better when what I really want is a partner. I eat well, I exercise, I'm studying to be a counsellor myself lol. My life outside of love truly is the best I can make it, and it still just isn't enough.
@catwithtinyclaws- I feel for ya
Hey there catwithtinyclaws :) Your frustration is understandable about wanting a partner and being unable to find one. I would recommend some places where you can go to do group activities such as hiking or skiing (if you have snow) or something along those lines to meet new people and maybe a relationship can form casually and from there you can hopefully meet more people and eventually maybe hopefully somewhere down the road, a friendship formed can turn into a relationship :)
You sound like my perfect match :)
I completely understand, I am 35 and feel the same way. Although I've never been in a relationship with a woman so I can't relate to your experiences, so to say. Yes dating apps are awful, I was on an app recently and I felt like ever post was looking to hook up, which I mean I get we've been in a pandemic since last year and people have needs but still posts like that get old.
I completely understand
I completely understand
Yes I hear you. I haven’t had luck with dating apps either. Getting older alone does suck. But at least you are healthy.
I understand. Finding the One seams impossible some days are extremely rough for me as well, But still holding on to Hope. Agree dateing sites suck.
Hi there! You have so many good things going for you 👍👍 Say this to yourself: I’ve been eating healthy and exercising everyday and I’m studying to be a counselor. I am great!” That shows that you have goals and care about yourself. Great job 👏 and keep it up! You have a wonderful life, remember that, so don’t feel sad about not being married and feel confident about what you’re doing. Life was not supposed to be easy, so don’t put yourself down for not finding someone. You said you met people who are not committed. That shows what you don’t want in a relationship and these people are not right for you. Not that many people know what they want in a relationship and that’s amazing!!! One important thing: Keep doing what you’re doing by having goals, stay positive and have fun exploring with new hobbies. You will look back and say wow, I did all of these things. When you least expect it, you will attract that person who is supposed to be in your life.
