make a simple goal for the day and do it
then cross it off when you are done
I just did the suffering inventory
it's useful to identify what things you are unwilling to deal with
suffering is experienced when we are unwilling to take something on
@amiablePeace77
I would remind them of how important self-love is and how self-love and self-esteem sorta go hand and hand <3 low self-esteem can harm our love for ourselves and I would remind them that it's important it is to love themselves and respect themselves first :)

What tips would you give to someone who has low self-esteem to motivate them to start a healthier lifestyle?
For Me I would explain what self esteem is. We need to work on ourselves before we can help others. I read an article about how to work on it
https://www.verywellmind.com/what-is-self-esteem-2795868

I think taking small steps can be great and reflecting on why doing something can be of benefit, especially without creating expectations for oneself.
It works great for me to talk with myself as if I'm a toddler, always the next minimal step and also praising oneself for those steps and trying to be honest but not judgemental when it doesn't quite work out as one expected.
I realize now that all those steps together might seem a huge step as well, so simply proposing small steps and maybe making one or two examples would be best
@amiablePeace77
Setting small goals and slowly working towards them is quite motivating and at the same time pretty rational. It is quite unrealistic that one will go from poor to good self-esteem overnight. Making small improvements over a period of time is okay.
Don't give up or feel low about occasionally slipping back, the key is to look over the long term changes instead of the day to day ones. Stay positive and slowly you'll find yourself growing into a better and a stronger person.🙂
@amiablePeace77 write down 3 good things that you have done each day even if only smiling, offering words of encouragement or a helping hand. What we focus our attention on grows. Our attention is like water to plants. Whatever we water grows.
