Emotional Stability
Daily Check In MAy 30th to June 1st 2025
Emotional Stability is being able to manage emotions effetively and remaining calm under pressure. Emotional stability is NOT a fixed personality trait. We develop emotion refulation skills while imporving our emotional intelligence with practice.
Emotional stability is when we can manage and express our emotions in a healthy way. There are 6 hab its to mantaining emotional stability:
Regular self-reflection:
Taking time to be aware of our thoughts, feelings and action.
Practing Mindfulness:
Mindfulness is in the present sense of where we are the today situation. When practicing this we stay in the present state and work on where we are at this moment.
Effective Stress-Management:
This is where we learn to handle stressful times. This when we regulate emotions ( ie: stress and anxiety).
Maintaining physical health:
Our physical health exercising and sleep contribute to our health.
Setting Boundaries:
Establishing boundaries where we maintain our well-being. Both in our professional and personal lives.
Regular Sleep:
Sleep is important to our well-being and getting plenty of rest whether at night or our power naps helps us maintain a healthy life.

I maintain my emotional stability by getting regular sleep and by practicing activities that calm my mind and body such as journaling, praying, and walking.

By daily check ins.
Not ignoring warning signs or triggers.
Proper sleep.
Fresh air.
Walking.
Doing something that makes me laugh and that I love doing daily.
Prayer.
Letting people in.
@pamharley003 Emotional stability, as you've described, is really about self-awareness, intentional practices, and consistent care mentally and physically. It’s empowering to remember that it's a skill, not a fixed trait, which means anyone can cultivate it over time. Reflecting regularly, staying present through mindfulness, managing stress effectively, honoring our physical needs, and setting healthy boundaries each of these contributes to a more grounded and balanced emotional life. It’s not about avoiding difficult emotions, but learning how to move through them with resilience and compassion.

Some things that help me to stay emotionally stable are:
1. Volunteering here
2. Self-compassion / Self-hugs
3. Getting enough rest
4. Supportive self-talk
5. Easting healthy (no added sugar, low carbs, no alcohol)
6. Exercise
