Distractions can make it difficult to concentrate at home, work, school, or in our personal lives with family and friends. To reduce these distractions, it’s important to add structure to our daily routines. One effective approach is to create a schedule and incorporate self-care breaks.

By making small changes, such as cleaning our desk at work or at home and turning off notifications on our cellphones, we can improve our focus on the tasks at hand.

A to-do list can help keep us on track. We will know all the things needing to be done and the time frame we are given to complete them. We can list the important tasks first; those are the ones that need to be done right away.

We can also start a schedule of when a task needs to be done; this way we can focus on getting it done without distractions. Self-breaks are important so we do not burn ourselves out in the tasks we are performing.

Another way to avoid distractions is to not multitask. When we attempt to do more than one task at a time, we start to lose track of our progress on each individual task.

Distraction is defined as "the process of interrupting attention." Distractions tend to pull us away from a particular goal or task we are in the middle of. When we are doing a task, we can let others know we will be in the middle of doing something and that we wish not to be distracted, unless it is really important.

I try to keep a distraction list when I am doing some task.

I feel bad when I am distracted. Statements such as "I should have done.......," arise, but I am able to change my thought after that and my behavior as well.

I try to make sure that I complete the task and then give myself free time.

@Admirablerainbow2825

I am going to make one where I have listed things that were said to me while doing a task or project and write down who has called me on my cellphone so I can remember to call them back.

we try to break things down into very small steps. due to being in high pain 24/7. we have to try and set things up so can do a little at a time. we find this also helps us not get distracted as much too.
