Sorry for the late post :

Self love explanation:

Self love is when we accept ourselves, treat ourselves kindly and lovingly and to nurture and grow within ourselves.  By using them together mindfulness and self love can give us the sense of feeling worthy and feeling loved,

 Practicing self love can be tricky because some do not know what it means to do so. Some of us may think while expressing positive feelings about ourselves we may come across arrogant and self absorbed but rather about appreciating our own uniqueness separate from others and their opinions.

When we meditate we are centered on our feeling and emotions.  You may begin to notice the negative things we are feeling, like our mind is racing. Meditation and self loving is like a constant practice. Once we are comfortable we can use them both to feel better about ourselves.

Do you ever feel like your mind is racing and if so what do you do to slow it down?

How do you feel when you work on yourself to feeling better ?

@pamharley003

thank you for another wonderful thread pam!

Do you ever feel like your mind is racing and if so, what do you do to slow it down?

Sometimes my mind does race so I tell myself "You can do this, one step at a time" and usually it works (I might have to say it repeatedly for a few minutes)

@pamharley003

Do you ever feel like your mind is racing and if so what do you do to slow it down?

Yes, sometimes my mind races. To slow down my mind, I would journal my thoughts and feelings as they occur. This helps me to think clearly and focus on the present, instead of constantly worrying about the past and future. It helps me keep track of events and think about the positive events in my life. This brings positive energy.

How do you feel when you work on yourself to feeling better ?

I feel much relaxed and awesome about myself. The end result is feeling positive about yourself.

I do the same when my mind races I write down the best I can what's going on then later go back and see what was happening and how I can resolve the issue or problem and keep notes so if it happens again I can go back to my notes

I find that talking it out with others is really helpful for my racing thoughts. It gets it off my chest and gives perspective that some of the things I am worrying about are not as big as I think they are. Having listeners is very helpful for this.
