We have all heard the phrase " go with what your heart tells you", but can we really do that? Trusting with your heart means listening to your inner voice, acting on intuition, and navigate your life. This entails having a close relationship with yourself.

Trusting with your heart means to trust your inner wisdom. You might find yourself questioning what the right course of action is at this moment. This is where the " go with what your heart tells you" because it can not stear you wrong.

You may sometimes take the risk all along feeling fear and anxiety. Sometimes you may not know the outcome of a situation without taking risks. You begin to have a self-connection with your heart. When you trust what your heart tells you, you can release the tension and anxiety by challenging yourself.

Methods to cultivating your trust in your heart:

Practice Self-Compassion: give yourself comfort without judging you for your past. You want to work with in the present.

Listen to your inner voice: Listen to what your mind and heart are telling you. They would never stear you wrong.

Intergrate your mind and heart: when you listen to your brain it is exploring the opportunities given to you at that moment. Your heart will guide you to the decision.

Forgive and let go: Release yourself and others from mistakes made, this lets you free your heart from everything. Forgive the people who wronged you but keep your boundaries with them, to make sure it does not happen again

Benefits of living from your heart:

Greater doors- you can open so much more with your heart.

Resilience- you will feel more energized in life.

Authenticity- you begin to live the true person you are meant to be. you become more connected to your passions and desires in life.

@pamharley003

Thanks for this interesting post, Pam!

I feel I can trust my heart, and it makes me feel authentic. In difficult situations my heart consult my logic mind though, so they work together. 😊

I'm still not so sure, I need to have a discussion first with my heart than after a long discussion most probably writing in a journal form I feel like my mind is clearer and in a way I can hear my heart better but with-out his prior moment of filtering my thoughts and grounding myself I can't really trust my heart.

I think I would feel more free trusting my heart as you are being yourself and not worrying about other people or trying to people please but sometime I don't trust my intuition enough, which is something which I need to work on.

Not sure if I can do this. Heart seems foolish and mind is stubborn

at this moment I don't know why I feel the same, I feel so foolishly attracted to someone for example, someone I met only once, I don't really know this person... but my heart will give it so much importance for a feeling of chemistry...who knows but I journal these thoughts, I ask myself why am I having such foolish thoughts and without judging too much I explore them...
you should try it out...

What I found out is that what my heart is really attracted to, isn't the person in itself, but what I wish to be... him in that moment with this pure joyful, energetic feeling that everyone could pic up doing what he loves with passione, was no other than what I wish to be right now. I currently working on getting myself unstuck to graduate, I feel like a child in comparison to him, I have no job, I have no home of my own, I can't get myself to drive, I have this last step of my thesis that feels like is blocking everything and start working in my most creative passion which is architecture of social cultural spaces that bring life, connection and joy to a community. He represents what I am not but wish to be deep in my heart.

See my foolish heart isn't so foolish once you go deep into it's true reason. In a way it is telling my brain to stop being so scared and start living...become what you want to become meanwhile my brain is making so many excuses.
