better health for our brain system

Experts note that memory is not the sole factor in cognitive function. Many people occasionally struggle to recall a word, a name, or a simple item to purchase.
For instance, I find myself clutching a shopping list like a lifeline, making sure nothing slips my mind. Names sometimes vanish mid-conversation, too, as if they are playing hide-and-seek.
The brain continues to adapt throughout life. After an injury or stroke, individuals often require rehabilitation to regain previous memory abilities.

I have a friend whose mom suffered a stroke; her therapist told us that her long-term memory is fine, but her short-term memory will come back to her.  This happens a lot with people who suffer from dementia.
Quality sleep helps the brain process daily experiences and prepare for future tasks. Maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise also supports cognitive function.

What are some exercises we can do to improve our brain activity?

One is to exercise. This helps our brain to function properly. Exercising can allow us to grow more brain cells. There is no specific exercise to improve our brains. We can hop on a bike and take a stroll on the beach.
Another is challenging ourselves to do something new. We can learn a new language, which trains our brain to learn things.  We can do meditation or mindfulness. Listening to 10 minutes of a mindfulness video increases the brain's function.
We can become more social, where we are not afraid to talk to family or friends. Isolation isn’t good for the brain. When we have a conversation with someone, we are working our brains. Socializing helps us learn new things.
Another way to improve your brain is to play some games. We learn to do this is that not all brain games are created equal. When we play games on social media, we are using our brain function. Some games can be where we have to think harder, where we think hard.

What are some ways you can help your mind?

Thank you for this great post pam! I regularly challenge myself to learn something new, often DIY projects, to keep my brain fit but also my mind interested in life.

What are some ways you can help your mind?

we found to help mind and more to challenge  the thoughts and well what others have said by  what they did to our thinking as we done this we came to see them things were lies mostly and we have stopped believing many of them negative  thoughts and flipped them to positive  ones this is very hard and have to work at it but it very helpful too

Brain exercises:

In the morning while having my coffee I play Sudoku, a word game and a card game on my phone to keep my mind stimulated.

I hate when I'm talking to someone and completely fog out and can't remember what it was I was going to say.

As for shopping list, I have a white board on my kitchen wall and when I need something I write it down and the store I might get it at. When I go shopping I take a picture or the list on the white board.

Helping your mind.

I find games help stimulate my mind and music.
