I feel guilty
My friend. My ex. I care for him, not romantically, but platonically. tho from what im observing he thinks otherwise. I dont want him to kill himself but like, he keeps saying im the only one keeping him alive. its so much responsibility for me that ive never even asked for, and I really really do care abt him. he should lay that on someone who is capable of helping him instead since he won't *** accept my help. He's a good person, but I can't keep doing this. I'm so tired. I jst feel so *** guilty cuz what kind of friend would I be if i dont try to stop him from killing himself. but at the same time im so tired and i have my own life and problems. and I'm a teenager for ***'s sake not a *** licensed therapist.
sorry for allat jst idk rambling yall have a NICE AF DAY THOO

Its clear you care and are a good person, and it's so hard, we can support people but ultimately not at the expense of our own wellbeing. You are not responsible for his happiness, he needs to get help and do the work for himself 💕💜
This is a trap I've seen a lot of people end up in, where somebody threatens explicitly or implicitly to kill himself if you don't support him in some way. He wants you to believe that you owe him that support, in order to keep him alive. But it's not true. His mental health, and his life, isn't your responsibility—whether he's bluffing or not.
I don't know if it's a coincidence or something but i am like your ex right now. the only thing is my ex is actually not able to help me anymore. But i get where you are coming from. and let me tell you something he will be fine. he is doing this because he is thinking doing this might help him get you back. Or might be that he is serious. but he wants you to know that. that's why he is still letting you know. you can help him if you want but for that to happen you have to get your *** together and try and make him accept things. because right now what he needs i clarity and hope. try to make him understand where you are coming from as well
yeppppp. I get u. you're right ***, he did try to do that once.
thank you sooo much and I wish the BEST for you alr you can do it fr, and remember it's not about getting rid of your problems, the only way you could do that through death. but it's who you become after solving your problem that matters. So don't attempt anything like EVER alr
Sometimes we’re expected to do things even after we’re drained out ourselves, u have been strong for him but that’s true u can’t keep up forever but I’ll tell you a regret that keeps me going is when one of my family member needed me I got tired too and took just one step back and he died that regret continuously pinched my heart and does till this day I don’t want same to happen to you support till u can but also don’t forget that u matter too ur peace matters too
I'm so sorry for your loss. But please don't feel regret or something. Treat yourself how you'd treat someone who is in the same situation as you are now. It's NOT your fault. You can't carry everything on your shoulders. You're human too, and so are they. And humans feel, YOU feel.
even if you were a horrible person, it is forgivable, but you literally did nothing wrong. And I believe that family member of yours wouldn't want you to feel this type of pain and regret. you might think you need to feel guilt as a way to say sorry for not being able to help them but you have already felt enough. Its not your fault alright??
Hi Friday
@alinawren So sorry you’re going through this. It’s great that you care about his wellbeing and love him enough to keep supporting him, but your feelings are totally valid. Keep observing the situation and if you’re comfortable, help him if you can, but remember that you can always take a step back or consult someone else for help if needed. Take it easy and please reach out if you ever wanna talk 💕 Sending you love, hugs and prayers!!!
I am so sorry to read that. I am going through the same, so i can relate the pain you may be feel. It's on him, to look for professional help. May he find it soon, I hope for both of you, that you're make it to a good end, after all.
