trying to be more positive, enphasis on trying
So i am reading this book ( STOP OVERTHINKING: 3 Books In 1: Overthinking, Self-Discipline, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) , i got this book some time ago recommended from someone in 7 cups, i just had it put it aside to finish reading, so i just started all over and read a bit every day, so the idea is to try to incorporate things of the book in my lifestyle.
I had been stuck into this endless loops of overthinking in ways i would had done things differently on people i hated for things that had hurt me, etc, from things that happened more than 30 years ago, from things that still happened recently, so the main thing is getting stuck in loops. I always wanted to have moments of clarity and without all the clutter in my head, since i cant seam to find people to talk to about deep things outside of 7 cups at least for now. I think it would be nice to keep a diary at least something every day.
Thought leave my head, lol, trying to keep a healthy routine, be more positive, and see in what little ways i can improve my life, try to be sociable in some way cause lately this is lacking big time, and my brain goes back to the times i was getting rejected, overthinking yes. i woke up at 4 am too early. lol, gym opens at 7 and swimming pool at 8 , at 11 ish i get someone to help me clean the house, i might draw or go back to sleep then swim, etc. yes healthy distractions, till next time.
@okeyyyy
Thanks for posting this. I suffer a lot from this myself. Being the youngest sibling out of seven from a very dysfunctional family, I have a lot of useless and pathetic clutter in my thought processes.
Also, on the constant struggle for betterment and approval, that is another housefull of useless clutter that is serving no purpose except for making me feel bad for my inadequacies.
I don't know who your author is but I just looked up on YT, there is an audio book by nick Trenton that I downloaded and will listen to in regards to the subject matter. thx again.
I hope day by day you're finding a little peace more and more.
Hi okeyyyy:
I respect you for your honesty and for your sincere desire to help yourself. You have some good ideas on swimming, which is healthy exercise that makes you feel happier and trying to stay in touch with other people.
It can be hard to let go of thoughts about past hurts but doing healthy things like exercise and trying to socialize with others definitely will help.
HI! It’s so amazing and admirable how you’re trying to do things to be who you want to be. I know this whole journey can be quite frustrating and tiring. I also try to do the same things…which is just self-care routines, reading self-help books/podcasts, etc. And honestly it does help. I think you’re definitely on the right road where you’re trying to physically write your thoughts and feelings down instead of just keeping it inside you, which helps in decreasing your thoughts simmering. I’m just here to tell you that you’re doing amazing! And we’re here for you through it all. Just a gentle reminder that it’s okay if you have days where you end up not doing it all. Those days are still a part of that healthy routine.
Always here💜
