Amazing stuff!
What other uses have you guys found?
@blitheSun94 Thank you for the post! I am also passionate about essential oils and have orange, peppermint, lavender, frankincense, and tea tree oil. Will use some of the tea tree on my face for my acne tonight. :)
@CompassionateGirl90
You're welcome! I also used it to treat my son's cradle cap. Amazing natural remedies. I just used peppermint last night for a migraine, and I enjoy starting my day with lavender as it eases morning stress. I also use them in the bathtub.
@CompassionateGirl90 how did it work for your acne?
@DG943 I didn't notice a big difference on my skin with the tea tree oil - I've been using something called a konjac sponge however and that's been GREAT for the acne. :)
@CompassionateGirl90 whats that?? Im actually battling with hormonal acne right now. Its a killer lol
@DG943 As far as my understanding goes, konjac is actually a root vegetable. When it's made for face washing, it looks like a circular black sponge. It's pretty soft as long as you run it under water long enough before it touches your face. You might want to read up on them to see if it's something that interests you - I wouldn't say that it's the sole reason my acne lessened but I did notice my skin cleared up quite a lot after I started to use it. I had more luck with it than I did with essential oils or other skin products. Going for a $150 acne facial with extractions every month or two is NOT an option for me (plus, the one time I tried was incredibly painful).
I know your pain - I do hope you manage to find something that helps you! Also if you check on Amazon, the konjac sponges aren't too expensive and each one is meant to last for a couple of months.
@CompassionateGirl90 thanks very much for your thoughts. i will definitely look into it because i am down for anything that works and is affordable. im done trying the expensive stuff. have you tried the aztec indian healing clay mask? <3
@DG943 You're welcome! I haven't tried that. I've been using a Dead Sea mud mask.
@blitheSun94 The Skin Tags link from eHOW is pretty much outdated & it no more add value. Probably you can go through latest guide to remove skin tags. Let me know, if i can help you in anyways. Thanks.
Oh I adore essential oils!
Lavender for relaxation, Peppermint oil for energy or focus while studying, and Tea Tree oil for my skin, healing and even for sinus infections!
Can someone further explain the use of essential oils? Lol thank you
@DG943
What a great and simple question! Essential oils are oils extracted from nature for various uses. You can buy them diluted in almond oil or 100% pure (which I prefer). There are various scents and even more uses.
Most notably I think we are discussing topical application and aromatherapy here. For example, I pour a small amount of lavender oil on my wrist and rub them together -also along my neck- just as you would with perfume. You can do this with any aroma or scent you prefer, but lavender specifically is known for its soothing and calming effects. I also use a few drops in my bubble baths.
Eucalyptus can be applied to the chest area when battling a cold or congestion.
I also use peppermint, which offers a tingling and cool sensation, to battle migraines by dabbling some along my wrists, shoulders, and back of the neck. This is good for pain relief in general. Simply apply to the area that is pained.
Finally, you can use essential oils in a diffuser to brighten a room, or in a candle burner like I use in my home. In some cases essential oils (such as thieves and tea tree -amazing stuff! See above for a complete list), can be used as a house hold cleaner. Under a doctor's supervision they can be ingested orally but this is generally not recommended. However you can gargle tea tree oil and spit to alleviate a sore throat. You can also use them on infants, children, and pets. And these are just the beginning!
These truly are amazing little substances and a small amount goes a very long way! Thanks for reading.

@blitheSun94 wow thanks so much for your quick answer! Thinking of getting into them!
@blitheSun94 I am a great believer in essential oils and herbal teas. Have you tried T2 teas or www.yourtea.com.au...?

I certainly recommend it! They boost mood, mental and physical health, and overall wellness by bringing you back to the present moment through the senses. I am very passionate about essential oils. In fact, I need to order more. Thanks for the great question. ![]()
