Hi wonderful mindfulness communitysmileyI so missed you all but yes even an elephant gets busy at times! Today I'd like to focus on

duun-duuun-dunnnnnn!!! C-H-O-R-E-Ssurprise

So what's so fun on chores with mindfulfess involved? Well without putting some mindfulness in chores it's boring, more of a task, anf other moods go flaring200w.webp<-----see what I meansurprisewarning

So some of us have the bathroom to clean, our rooms to cleansurprisethe dishes and the whole kitchen, omg lets not talk about giving the dogs baths!! But we can practice a mindfulness akill while we are doing these chores and be in the moment and not in another moment cussing and just not happy about what we need to do.....then there goes the moods^^^So lets see how we can be mindful on........smiley

Image result for mindfully vacuuming

1. Begin by noticing the area you want to clean

What does it look like and how dirty is the floor? Notice any objects that may obstruct your vacuuming. Become mindful of your own physical body, your emotions, and thoughts running through your mind.

2. Tidy up the area so you can use the vacuum cleaner in one go, without stopping, if you can

This ensures you have time to get into the rhythm of the activity without stopping and starting, helping you to focus.

3. Switch the vacuum cleaner on

Notice the quality of the sound and feel the vibrations in your arm. Begin moving the vacuum cleaner, getting into a calm rhythm if possible.

4. When youve finished, switch off and observe how you feel

How was the process different to how you normally vacuum the floor? Look at what youve done and be proud of your achievement.

How was vacuming mindfully? Share here if you are comfortable on a chore you just don't like to do, or where you find you have distractions flowing. Then share how you can be mindful doing this chore.

@RumpleSteeleSkin Hello! I really like this post! I always found doing laundry, washing dishes, and vaccuuming to be such mindful chores as they help me feel so peaceful and calm. They are extremely relaxing for me, as odd as it may sound. :)

@RumpleSteeleSkin Good to see you too! :) Oh no, I hope you will be able to get everything done and have plenty of time to rest afterwards! It is all so calming for me, because the smells and noises in particularly just somehow put me at ease. I love the smell of a freshly vaccuumed carpet as well as the warmth and smell of clean, dry clothes. :)

my today's chore was making samosa to freeze, which i find is a lot of work. usually i feel a kind of hesitant to make them (a big bunch) but today i all over sudden thought, well, let's have a good time with them.

so i put my favorite reggae music on, cut the skin carefully into desired sizes, felt how pliable it was, placed a spoon full of my filling on it and folded it together, almost like an art piece (might sound stupid now). i went through the whole process with full attention and no rush, more like doing a craft piece. I noticed that by doing them mindfully it was not such a burden anymore.

My chore for today was to try to get my dog to take his allergy pill. OMG he has an ear infection and I took him to the doctor where he let them do everything to him. My daughter and I flying around the house trying to catch him to give him his medication is a Once he was moving around more confident that I was not going to mess with him he eased back chore. My Mindfulness comes into play by trying to notice when he eased out from under the bed being careful to not let him know I was waiting for the right time to grab him. Trying to be really creative in how I would disguise this pill and what I would put it in that he would not detect. I failed. This is a chore I don't like. But I was able to laugh atlaugh the moment. Calling the doctor to see if he can just get the shot.laugh🐕

your post put big smiles on my face, remember those things when i had dogs. you were mindful and that is what counts and your dog was also very mindful what gets into his mouth so you both had a mindfulness session ! yes
