Mindfulness Checkin Oct 11

Hello, lovelies, What's up?

You know every day seems like the repeat show.

Yes, every day it feels like same except day, week, month and year. Same stuff, routine, activities, and all?

You know how it feels? Right?

But still every day we wake up and follow the routine. So, have you ever wondered what keeps you motivated for tomorrow?

You wake up at 5 am, get your coffee, take shower, make breakfast, get dressed and run for office, school or college.

I am sure consciously or unconsciously this thought must have raced in your mind.

So I was thinking to get an answer for same and recognize what motivates me to wake up every morning. I was making an effort to have a mindful morning and the rest of the day.

And I realized, my goals motivates me. Short or long-term goals. A strong urge to accomplish those goals and try to evolve as a better version of myself. I think that is what makes me get out of the bed at 5 am in the morning. Even if I am feeling to get some more sleep.

We seek motivation to do everything. Right?

If we do not have a motivation for something, probably we end up procrastinating it. Even though motivation is temporary, yet we all are dependent on it to get started.

So, that was about me. What about you?

What motivates you for tomorrow? Let's do some mindful thinking.

i don't have a life that requires Motivation; my life is Compelling. i am compelled to get up to run down the hall, to let a cat out or in, to feed them or the outdoor critters. i sleep when i am tired, i eat when i am hungry, and i come online for meditation support, brain rehab, socializing and entertainment, as i like. i have the ultimate in Freedoms... the freedom to do as i please (as long as it doesn't require money, going out, driving, heavy lifting or other faculties i don't have).

@ASilentObserver

Firstly I have to-LMAAAAOOOOOOOOcheekyI read this and then saw the picture and started to giggle-thank you

Silent that you for this wonderful check in today! Man are you in my head or what? As no matter what I do in my mind to shut of being mindful and just do what I like-it does not happen. It is embedded in me no matter what.

I do have a pretty much routine schedule goes like this- don't get overwhelmed-

Wake up at 4am take my one medication. Set alarm for 4:30am. Alarm goes off and I make my attempt to wake up grumpy tired kids. Alarm goes off 10 minutes later, I scream out their names to get up-NOW. Turn lights on so I too am up. Help kids in whatever they need, get their daily school snacks together. Make my coffee and if I remember and stay focused my breakfast things. Moan at the kids to try and pick up their rooms and bathrooms. Kids out the door at 6:10am

I get my work cloths out, sit and smoke and play my phone game for a bit. In the shower. Get dogs out the door. Hopefully I am mindful and take all my vitamins and meds before I leave out.

Drive out of time to my clinets at 6:40am, I put on music to be mindful and not let the morning traffic get to me. Or my friend calls and we gab. Yay to my clients by 7:45amsmiley

Cook him 3-4 pancakes, 3-4 eggs with grilled peppers, 1/2 cup of cranberry juice, 2 things of yougurt along with generus amount of berries and strawberries, pull out his meds, make sure his towel is set. Yay he eats. I do dishes, clean kitchen, bathroom, his room, 2-3 loads of cloths, vacum/mop, food shopping, pay his bills. Yay 11:30 comes I head home

Take care of house things and animals, dogs go for a walk and if I have nothing else to do I do my work here. Then kids home, I cook dinner, care for animals, do viola and bell lessons, homework and so on. Dinner time! If nothing else I might come on here for a bit finish things. 6:30pm I get ready for work-again. Get done in 1 hour and head home. Dogs go for walk, I iron cloths for myself and family, think of meat for dinner for mext day, set out cloths, get house shut down and night time. aaawwwww bed time-and then up and redo it again

So I do know about routines. And along comes boredom. But lately I have seen myself be mindful of this and the boredom I feel. So I have control with several things in my daily tasks. I mix them up some, turn on music and dance with dogs, get my client to help me out or go for a drive. Small things of change that you can change can really help in being mindful of every day life.

Hahahaha Silent I can go on and on. But this has also sunk into me and I am going to change a few things for today and tomorrow to bring me some inner pleasure in doing things I have to. Thanks for reading thisheart

Yes, I am aware of doing the same things everyday. I know how it feels to have that spontaneous need to do something else.

Unhealthy example: cutting class Healthy example: Eating something different for lunch, after class

I don't want to view life as just this endless cycle, until it ends. We have to make the most of every moment, and see each moment as something new and breathing out opporunities.

I am only motivated to keep at it because I know I am in control.

But specifically, what really helps me to stay above the surface (often overcome with that drowning feeling) is just noticing the life around me. Looking at those squirrels chase each other, foraging for food, keeps me interested, and just happy to be alive. I need to feel the Earth, smell the Earth, etc. to feel that yes, I do exist.

@ASilentObserver not sure what keeps me motivated. I stay tuned to this moment. For me that leads to tomorrow without worry or concern. Doing my best right now makes me confident that tomorrow will be the best possible.

I think my own motivation comes from being that person that gave up for a time...and I didn't like how that kind of life felt. My daily goals help to keep me stable enough that I can make it through the day. Each day that I can do that is one more day that I have kept myself from staying at the bottom.

i guess my own motivation is like that of any drowning person who just wants to keep breathing air. i have fought my way to the surface, and am learning how to float. that's all i ask of life, that i be able to keep floating.
