Mindfulness Daily Check-In August 16, 2017

August 16th, 2017

Hi there, Mindfulness Community! How are you all? A new week started a few days ago. Things might become more chaotic as the week goes on, so it is important to remember what mindfulness teaches us, acceptance, awareness and being present. It may be hard to include mindfulness in our busy lives however. Therefore, how could we make mindfulness part of our lives?

What can help is to try taking some deep breaths, bringing our awareness to the breath and being mindful of them. It is a simple yet effective technique, alleviating some of the stress we feel.

For a person on the go, mindfulness phone apps can be useful, such as Aura, which has small mindfulness sessions, perfect for a busy life and even has nature sounds you can be mindful of as well.

@SunFern

Sunnie hi nice to see you todayheart Yes just the first major skill is to start to focus and be comfortable just noticing your breathing. For some- this is very hard as it's so internal for them. But as you practice daily it gets a big easier.smiley

@RumpleSteeleSkin. Hi RSS. As I have said, I use mindful breathing a lot. I have noticed that when I haven't used it in a while it's harder to stay with it. I've been up to ten minutes and let it go for a while and had to start over at 30 second. Gotta use it or lose it. 😜
