Mindfulness Daily Check-In July 24 2017

Hiya everyone
YES IT'S THAT DAY AGAIN- MONDAY!!! Gosh were did the weekend go? I remember it was Friday
I know for many of us- time flies and we just can't recall where it went. Honestly- it does happen, so no need to judge it or feel bad to you
We get busy with work, family, chores, errands, and sometimes we forget to be in that moment. To notice how much time we spent on things we do daily. To be consious of it- NOT to judge it or do drastic changes. I'd say like descipline our time! So how can we start to be mindful of our time, our day, our week?
1. Set an alarm on your phone several times a day to check-in with yourself. To connect and see where you are in your day.
2. Set a certain day every week where you can write down your priorities for the week. This includes you time and fun time
3. Set your email notification sound to a bell and let it be a reminder to bring you back to the present moment each time you hear it. Think of the possibilities!
4. Take one minute of the day to focus on the sensations of the breath. Where do you feel the breath, in the abdomen, the lungs, the nose? I know this may be hard to accomplish daily, but we do have many "down times" and we can use that time to check in with ourselves.
5. Physically slowing down helps us to mentally slow down. We get more pleasure out of life when we slow down like this. Take some time out to eat a meal and really connect with your family.
6. Try changing your focus to doing just one thing at a time. Take on each task with full awareness, one by one. When mindfully doing a task, youre less prone to rushing, mistakes or forgetting details. Youll find you can be more efficient with the task, and finish it without feeling worn out or tense.
I do hope some of these help you, to engage you more in your day/week, to be more present in our week. Please do share on things that you do that helps you maintain your week.

Hi! Thank you for these awesome tips. I love today's check-in!! @peacefulwarrior10 I am considering adding number 1 as a goal! Maybe do it morning and night. Those can be with my deep breaths. :)
@fighter23
I'd really love to hear from you about this if you really do it. May be set your alarm thrice a day? Glad you chose a tip 🙂

wooohooo sweet Gatsby nice to see you here
Glad to hear that you practice mindfulness. How does it help you?
@RumpleSteeleSkin by training my focus of attention through both formal & informal mindfulness practice over some months I now am now able to experience emotions i once perceived to be unbearable without defense instead of desperately needing to be rid of them and my quality of life has improved immensely from this.
@RumpleSteeleSkin very good tips on getting through Mondays!
Boy that cat is having a bad hair day :)
