Mindfully seeing through the window
Happy Friday again 
, today I like to share an exercise I did this week. Here it goes:
Pick a window in your home, school, or office that you never (or almost never) look through. Sit down and spend 5 or more minutes gazing through the window,observing what is outside. Notice the scenery and whether anything is happening outside the window.
Describe the scene and/or action to yourself and connect with it.
How did it feel seeing the outside from that angle?
Did you notice something new?
When facing a challenging situation, do you think looking through a window you hardly use or even never used could help?

I needed a new focus, or really just observe and notice the windows that I do have......

Well a window by my computer dest is really nothing to look at-my opinion. As there are 2 big bushes that are in front and are big. I can't really see nothing except the sky. My windows are almost on ground level. But, I was more mindful at really looking out this window. I have a birds next in there, also some awesome spider webs. Wow nature is right there in my bushes
How did it feel seeing the outside from that angle?
I felt priviledged to be able to veiw nature

Hi Rumple, , thanks for checking in. A lot seems to be going on in your bush, soon you might be seeing some young birds with their beaks wide open to be fed and spiders. I admire those animals for their precision work building the nets (don't send them over, I admire but do not love them). So you got some insight view of what's happening in the bush

Describe the scene and/or action to yourself and connect with it.
It looks out on the street, blocked partially by a banner. A chainlink fence on the other side of the street with a glaring sign of NO TRESPASS on it - which is last month's new addition to the scene. Cars running stop signs. It's a rather sterile, grungy, and frenetic view.
How did it feel seeing the outside from that angle?
Not my favorite window - speeding cars, horns and sirens, industrial view -- angst.
Did you notice something new?
I think the telephone pole in the distance is falling over - might not survive the next round of storms.

there was quite a bit you noticed. looking through a new window from a new angle let's us see things we do not like or want to be changed as well. Hope that the people who are in charge for the telephone post will take care of it soon.
@amiablePeace77 very interesting post. We have inside screens so I take off the screen and see a lot more. The picture is that much clearer.
I do look out different windows and it does give me a new perspective.

Looking through a screen can blurr our vision, good you could take it off to get a clear picture.
Looking through a window not used much and connect with what I see. The balcony window I see darkness and the still dark sky where the clouds are slowly brushing across the face of the moon. The sky is void of stars.
, and the moonlight
Looking out the balcony window I see the night sky still lingering on, there are dark clouds sweeping across the face of the moon. No stars are present. The sky radiates a deep gray hue from the light glaring off the moon. I see the lights of airplanes scurrying through the clouds and flashing lights as they go by.
Really nothing new but very refreshing.

a dark sky where the clouds are slowly brushing across the face of the moon - not new but still refreshing and that's sometimes all we need, a refresher. Thanks for sharing those poetic words.
@scarletPear1945 I was looking out the window last night at the full moon. It is almost like a different world as the daylight with sun is.
